NXT Episode 272
November 1st, 2017
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Taynara Conti vs. Nikki Cross
Short match, just here for Cross to get revenge and showoff her craziness.

Fabian Aichner vs. Johnny Gargano
Real good tv match here, Gargano gives him the Gargano special, where he bumps and sells his off which elevates Fabian higher, he's already really solid as a wrestler, he just needs to find that gimmick and I think he could become a really good mid-card hand in 2019. He targets the lower back, but most of it gets cut due to the break. Gargano has his usual comeback, he hits all the usual spots. Rolling kick, slingshot spear, slingshot DDT but nothing works. And Gargano begins doubting himself, that allows Fabian to hit a sweet powerbomb for two. He goes for the around the world into the stretch, but Fabian has is scouted and ROLLS HIM UP FOR THE UPSET WIN! **3/4

In the back, Regal has Drew sign the contract for the world title match at Houston.

Earlier today, the red cup boyz are next to a white Maserati, when Tino and Moss come over and tell them to back away from the car. Moss tells them they don't touch their fake chains so don't touch his car. SP leave and claim, the white took something from them again.

Drew comes out onto the stage, BUT ALMAS PEARL HARBOR'S HIM FROM BEHIND! He then signs the contract and throws it down on Drew. EL IDOLO~!

Earlier Today, the Iconics were at the PC making fun of Sane being a pirate when she comes over and flashes her elbow at Kay. So next week it's Kay/Sane I'm guessing?

NXT World Tag Team Championships: SAnitY (Eric Young & Alexander Wolfe) vs. Authors of Pain
This is fine, lots of mauling and brawling. AoP has a nice isolation on Wolfe, they beat him down and pretty much toy with him for a while, but it doesn't go too long that it drags the match down. EY has his best hot tag to date, the match breaks down. And AoP hit the supercollider, and hit the Last Chapter but the Undisputed Era attack both teams for the no contest. **

Dain tries to make the save but the numbers catch up to him, they beat all 5 men down. Roddy comes down and teases joining them by putting on the armband.................................BUT INSTEAD HE DECKS COLE, AoP recovers and they clear the ring of the UE.

Regal then comes out and books the Undisputed Era vs. SAniY vs. AoP/Strong in WARGAMES!

NXT Episode 273
November 8th, 2017
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Chris Payne & Sean Maluta vs. Heavy Machinery
AWESOME SQUASH!

Backstage: Christy asks Ember about Mercedes comments about Ember not being able to win the big one, Ember challenges her to a match next week.

Roddy/Cole, tonight.

Kairi Sane vs. Billie Kay (w/Peyton Royce)
Short showcase for Sane, Kay again has a good showing, but it's mostly because Sane is so small that Kay can bust out the bully offense and it rules. Sane has a nice comeback and hits TANAKA'S SLIDING KNEE FOR TWO. Peyton tries to get involved but gets KO'ed which allows Sane to hit the IN-SANE elbow for the win. **

Backstage: Ohno goes up to Regal and says he's had some ups and downs since his return to NXT, but since the Hideo matches he feels like he's been on a role, and feels like he deserves another shot at the World title. But, first, he wants LARZ @ TAKE OVER! Regal books it.

A video package on the history of wargames airs.

Backstage: Almas and Vega sitdown with a cameraman for an interview, Cam asks what their strategy is for the title match. She says she wouldn't be in the position she is in now if she went around telling the world their strategies, the only people that need to know are her and her man. Drew wants to talk about how Almas is not the MAN because he has her, they did what he asked, Drew was the one that wasn't ready. Cam asks Almas what their relationship is, but she cuts him off saying they have a past. They've known each other for 7 years, but she knows him and this is the real El Idolo and Drew will find out. Almas says "THE NEXT CHAMPION! IN 10 DAYS"

The Velveteen Dream vs. Cezar Bononi
Goes about a minute before Dream hits the DVD bomb for the win.

After the match, Dream says he gave Black what he needed and at wargames, when all the darkness comes to light he will get what he wants when his name comes out of his mouth.

recap of Ruby's ankle injury from 3 weeks ago, at the PC Ruby, is getting checked out by the Doctors who says she needs 2 more weeks. Sonya comes over and says this all could have been avoided if she tapped, Ruby challenges her to a match when she recovers. Sonya accepts and tells her to heal fast so she can break her ankle this time.

The black cup boyz steal one of Tino's custom suits that he just got dry cleaned. Tino and Moss come over and tell them to stop touching their stuff, so the lean boyz challenge them to a match next.

Roderick Strong vs. Adam Cole
This gets under 10 so they take all the best parts of their matches over the years and add it here, they have a brief feeling out process but their version of it is seeing who strikes harder. Cole gains the upper hand when he positions the ref in the way as Roddy is getting back into the ring, and drops him with a superkick as we go to break. Solid Cole works on the next, it's the standard stuff figure four head scissors, headlocks, punches. All that stuff. Roddy hits a desperation backbreaker out of the side-headlock position which sparks a comeback, Cole avoids the step up kick and hits a superkick followed by the vertical suplex into the neck-breaker for two. Roddy comes back with forearms and hits the high jumping knee, he then hits the BACKBREAKER ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE BUT COLE AND FISH ATTACK HIM FOR THE DQ. **1/2

AoP come out and corner UE, SAnitY also come out, and we get a SHOW. ENDING. BRAWL!

NXT Episode 274
November 15th, 2017
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Street Profits vs. Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli
Showcase for the SP, Moss continues to be the star of the team, I swear if he had Tino's body and looks to go with his awesome power moves. Vince would make him world champ first match in. SP win with the lo'down combo.

A video package hyping up Dream/Black Airs.

Lars Sullivan vs. Raul Mendoza
SQUASH! And it was beautiful.

Backstage: Regal and Gargano are talking, Gargano says he knows he hasn't been delivering lately but he still belongs and Regal agrees, he says he has all the faith in him. He says Dunne has sent out an open challenge to anyone on NXT and Regal feels Gargano is the man for the job. SMH Look at that favoritism.

Mercedes Martinez vs. Ember Moon
This is fine, they go back and forth trading moves and strikes. Not much of a story, or real heat. Ember ends up hitting the eclipse for the win.

Dunne/Gargano - UK TITLE MATCH NEXT WEEK!

Drew comes down to the ring, he says he loves it when a plan comes together. Well, Vega's plan that is. Almas got his title match, but now they're both in trouble it's one thing to ask for the opportunity, but it's another when you get it. When the pressure is on, we'll get to see what kind of man Almas really is. Cause we all know what type of man I am (holds the title in the air) Drew says as for Vega she talks about success and mountains, Almas will find out real quick that he is the mountain. Now, he's gonna ask 1 last time for Almas to meet him man to man, not for him or Vega. But for himself. Almas' music hits, but Vega comes out alone. But, Almas storms out and they get into a brawl, but Vega attempts a crossbody but Drew catches her. From behind Almas chop blocks the knee and hits the Hammerlock DDT. Vega holds up the title to motivate Almas. Welp, Almas has no shot now, RIGHT? 8D

NXT TakeOver: WARGAMES
November 18th, 2017
Houston, Texas

Kassius OhNo vs. Lars Sullivan
Good new hybrid big man vs. big man match, both hit hard and go to the air to knock one another off their feet. In one of the rare deal, new fat ohno is the smaller man. This is basically a long Lars showcase, pretty much just trying to get him to that next level. Ohno is smart enough to get the most out of him. They do the deal with Ohno elbow's and striking not working, it takes about 12 elbows and the rolling boot to finally knock Lars off his feet. But once he does, he keeps daring Ohno to keep kicking him in the face. He then kicks out of the back senton at 1. He counters the rolling elbow into Freak Accident for the win. **1/4

Tyler Bate, Trent7, Mark Andrews, and Wolfgang are all in the front row.

Black/Dream video package airs.

Aleister Black vs. The Velveteen Dream
Dream has Rick Rude inspired airbrushed pants on, with both his and Blacks face on it. God opening with Black using his 10 years of experience to over Dreams 3 years. He controls the pace and gets the better on the mat, constantly going to the arm. Theirs an awesome spot with Black faking out Dream with the cape'rana into the sit-down, but they do it in a way that Dream knew a dive was coming so he slides into the ring, and Black knew he knew about to fake so when he does the sitdown pose he looks directly into Dreams eyes. BUT DREAM COMES BACK WITH THE RUDE TRUST! But Black refuses to look at him. So Dream does the sitdown taunt to get Black's attention..............BUT BLACK DOES THE DREAM DROP TO HE KNEES TAUNT WHICH STARTED THE FEUD :mark: Dream manages to get control of the match when he drops Black's throat over the top rope, he then follows up with a fake dive of his own, but it's not as flashy and it comes off hilarious but in a showman kind of way. Dream keeps using Black and Rude moves during control, e.g. his does the rude awaking and even his attempt at a black mass superkick. Dream again ties him up in the ropes, but instead of doing anything he just yells at him to say his name. Black refuses and knees him in the jaw, which sparks the comeback. They trade big strikes, which shockingly Dream wins and hits the DVD bomb for two. He goes for it off the top, but Black kicks his knees out from under him and hits a sick looking running knee for two, BUT DREAM IS UP FIRST AND HITS AN INSANE LOOKING NEW VERSION OF A DDT! HOLY SHIT! But Black kicks out. The dream goes for the rainmaker, but Black gets the foot up and kicks Dream into the ropes, and now Dream is tied up in the ropes. He gets 1 kick off before the ref pulls him back, and that separation allows Dream to hit a desperation superkick. Both men are slow to get up, Dream goes to yell at him again, but Black hits the Black Mass out of nowhere. Not the amazing match, I held it as when it first aired, but still a damn good match and a breakout match for Dream. And to Black to some degree, even though he was a made man before this. ***1/4

After the Match; Black grabs a mic and sits next to dream, he says "ENJOY, INFAMY, VELVETEEN DREAM" before leaving.

That loser Finn Balor, Funaki are next to the GOAT Asuka in the front row.

NXT Woman's Championship: Nikki Cross vs. Kairi Sane vs. Peyton Royce vs. Ember Moon
I will never understand why they didn't keep Asuka in NXT till here and book Ember/Asuka III here with Moon putting her Career on the line in her hometown. But I guess, the streak was more important. This is fairly good, constant action with all for being involved with something at all times, Ember/Kairi ruled. I'll tell you what the woman of NXT have been doing a really good job of multi-person matches, and switching it up, and not doing the lazy tradition WWE style. Cross gets taken out pretty early with a powerbomb to the floor, so we get a good Ember/Sane/Peyton run until Cross crossbodies them to get back into it. She cleans house and hits Sane with the swinging neckbreaker but Peyton breaks it up, she then hits another on Moon from the top, but Moon rolls to the floor which allows Peyton to sneak in the back and hit the fisherman but Sane breaks it up. Sane Alabama slams Peyton onto Cross and hits the IN-SANE elbow but Ember breaks it up. Moon goes for the Eclipse but Peyton stops it and goes to fight Cross. BUT OUT OF NOWHERE EMBER HITS A DOUBLE ECLIPSE TO BOTH CROSS AND PEYTON AND PINS CROSS FOR THE WIN. **1/2

After the match; Regal goes to present Ember with the title. BUT DA GOAT ASUKA COMES IN AND PRESENTS HER WITH THE TITLE INSTEAD!

Kevin Owens is in the crowd wearing a UE t-shirt, Joe is in the crowd too.

NXT World Championship: Andrade 'Cien' Almas (w/Zelina Vega) vs. Drew McIntyre
Almas has finally ditched the shitty hat, and vest now he's just got a weird looking robe. Don't worry EL IDOLO FINAL FORM COMING SOON :mark: Drew doesn't even get the special championship entrance smh, what a paper champion. I forgot this is the match when Vega goes the ride or die latina trash talk while Drew was on his knees, that size difference:lmao Anyway, Almas pie faces him before the bell playing the mind games early. Almas goes to the side-headlock early trying to wear Drew down, who fights back with power. Vega tries to interfere early with a 'rana, the same rana that KO'ed Roddy but Drew catches it and puts her down as he sees Almas setting up for the suicide dive, he blocks it with a forearm and continues to maintain control until Almas sends him shoulder-first into the ring post. Decent arm works by Almas, but he never really sticks with it. Drew has a nice comeback, he hits the Celtic Cross aka the air raid crash for two. He sets up for the Claymore kick, but Almas counters it with his awesome running spinning back fist followed by an inverted DDT for two. Almas attempts an inverted Frankenstiener but Drew blocks it and hits the reverse Alabama slam for two. Almas really begins to turn it up now, he starts hitting these awesome high impact combo moves for real falls, basically just pulling everything out of the bag in the biggest match of his life but Drew keeps kicking out. Drew comes back with a nice sitdown powerbomb for two and hits the future shock DDT for another two. He goes for the air raid crash off the top but Almas counters dropping Drew face first into the top turnbuckle, he follows up with the running double knees to the back of the head for two. Almas IS NOW PISSED And grabs the belt, that allows Vega to slide in and hit the head spike rana, Almas then slides back in and hits the Hammerlock DDT but Drew kicks out again. Almas is shocked, and that allows Drew to recover and hit a sick CLAYMORE KICK. But Vega puts Almas' boot on the bottom rope for two. The crowd has now done a complete 180 and 80% of the people are now cheering Almas :mark: Drew goes for it again, but Almas ducks and Drew crotches himself onto the top rope. ALMAS HITS A SPIKE DDT OFF THE TOP AND COVERS FOR THE WIN. NEW FUCKING CHAMP! EL IDOLO! Almas had one of the best performances i've seen this entire review. ***1/4

DUSTIN RHODES & ARM ANDERSON ARE IN THE CROWD!

15abJYg.png

WarGames Match: SAnitY vs. The Undisputed Era vs. Roderick Strong & The Authors of Pain
This isn't the old wargames cage, as this one has the top open cause you know we have to get the token dive off the top spot. EY/Cole/Roddy start the match. Solid opening 5, lots of brawling and cage teases, all 3 men get a stretch on offense. UE somehow win the coin toss, or rock, paper, scissors. IDK how they determined the order :side: UE beat up Roddy and EY for 3 minutes until AoP gets released from the shark cage next :lmao Tripsgod gonna get all the use out of these shark cages. AWESOME AoP brutality for 3 minutes, they throw everyone around with no remorse and it ruled. SAnitY are out last and now the match officially begins.

WOLFE BEING THE SMARTEST MAN IN THE MATCH PULLS OUT A POLICE BATTON FRM HIS JACKET AND BEGINS BEATING AoP WITH IT! Dain then brings in weapons and we get a bunch of hardcore weapon shots. Dain has his best performance here as the wrecking ball of the match. Tons of moves where he hurts two people at one, e.g. hitting a running dropkick/senton to AoP. Hitting Fish/Kyle with a sitdown Michinoku driver. And hitting Cole/Roddy with a Samoan drop/fallaway slam. He also takes everyone out with a crossbody off the top. Everyone begins hitting big moves, an Awesome spot with AoP hitting the supercollider but they sandwich the double powerbombs into Dain who was standing in the middle of the two rings. Roddy recovers and hits a 12 move combo taking everyone out, he hits the angle slam on Dain, but Cole breaks it up with a superkick. Minutes later we get a double tower of doom spot with everyone taking a bump but Adam Cole. AoP recovers first and sets up the tables that Dain brought into the ring. But Wolfe cuts him off and hits a super german off the top crashing through both tables, Wolfe ends up cutting himself and it's nasty. While that was going on Cole manages to climb to the top, Dain recovers and kills everyone again BEFORE HITTING A FUCKING COAST TO COAST TO KYLE! Roddy awakes and heads up top, they do the super, SUPERPLEX OFF THE TOP ONTO EVERYONE with Roddy falling on top but Cole kicks out. The match ends when AoP takes Dain out with the last chapter in the middle part onto the steel. Kyle and Fish then hit Akam with Total Elimination, EY and Wolfe hit the double team neckbreaker, but Roddy takes Wolfe, Ey takes out Roddy. But Cole hits EY with a kendo stick and hits a shining wizard into a chair back into EY's face for the win. Not a bad match, but it really didn't need 33/34 minutes for a spot-fest. **3/4

NXT Episode 275
November 22nd, 2017
Houston, Texas

Sonya Deville vs. Ruby Riot
This is fine, they build the match around Sonya working the injured ankle, it gets about 6 minutes shown. Sonya's ankle work is decent, but Ruby sells the hell out of it and makes it look way worse than the ankle work made it seem. She applies the ankle lock, but Riot makes the ropes, Sonya is upset and argues to the ref which allows Riot to recover and hit the Pele kick for the win. **

Recaps of Black/Dream & Larz/Ohno

Backstage: Kayla asks Larz how he feels about his win, Lars says he feels good considering Ohno kicked him 50 times in the head. He says he told everyone since day 1, he would be the man to mess with and tonight he dominated and wants to send a message to the rest of the locker room, if they get in his way they will be destroyed. BY HIS HANDS ONLY!

Recap of the 4-Way airs.

Backstage: Kayla congratulates Ember on her win, Ember says this is a dream come true, all the hard work from the indies and here was all worth it, to call herself champion. Kayla asks what's next, Ember says she knows it's a lot harder to keep the title and she will continue to do what she does to keep it.

Recap of El Idolo/Drew.

Backsage: Kayla is with the LOSER Drew, she aks about his arm, Drew says he felt something go in his arm. His bicep/elbow area, and from experience he knows it probably isn't good, but he won't make any excuses. It was a heck of a match and he will be back for his title.

Recap of Wargames airs.

Backstage: Cole says they told everybody this is their era and their NXT. They run this place.

United Kingdom Championship: Johnny Gargano vs. Pete Dunne
Really good open minute with them feeling one another out, Gargano almost hits a superkick, which pissed off Dunne as he realizes he was 1 second away from almost losing the title so he decks him with a sweet forearm. They continue to go back and forth, but now it's more intense and hard hitting. Gargano hits a cannonball to the floor, but as he goes to roll Dunn back in, Dunne blocks and hits the release suplex onto the apron as we go to break. We return just in time for Dunne's finger work, what good timing 8D He goes for a Kimora type move with him still bending the fingers, but Gargano counters into a suplex into the corner and makes a comeback. He hits a running tope into a tornado DDT to the floor. He tries to do the slingshot into a DDT, but this time Dunne has it countered and hits an explex for two. Dunne now goes got the bitter end, but Gargano counters into another tornado DDT. He follows it up with the stretch, BUT DUNNE SPITS OUT THE MOUTHPIECE AND BITES THE FINGERS TO BREAK THE HOLD :mark: They do a double KO spot, Gargano notices the mouthpiece on the mat and hits a sick sounding superkick for two. They again trade nasty forearms but when Gargano goes for the slingshot spear, Dunne hits a forearm in mid-air and finishes him off with the bitter end for the win. Dope match, want a rematch with more time. **3/4

NXT Episode 276
November 29th, 2017
Aztec Theatre: San Antonio, Texas

This venue is tiny af, around ringside is like 2 rows of fans each :lmao but on the left, they have a whole side of fans, but it's the hard cam so they barely show it.

No Nigel this week, so it's just Mauro and clueless Percy.

Street Profits vs. Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli
This is a thing, it's fine for what it is. SP's control early being one step ahead. Heels take over when Tino knocks Ford off the apron and he hits the rails. Decent isolation, Moss does great with hit cutoffs and power moves while Tino does his generic look at me stuff. Dawkins' hot tag is cool, he's gotten a lot better than what he first was when I started this review. He has awesome working punches, the match breaks down, Ford takes out Moss with a cannonball to the floor. And they hit the Lo'Down for the win. **1/4

WWE.com EXCLUSIVE, Bate and Trent7 challenge Dunne and anyone he can find as a partner to a match.

Backstage: Christy interviews Tyler and Trent, she for their thoughts on the match. Trent says it was only a few weeks ago they saw Dunne do nothing as UE beat up one of their own, Bate says they will teach him a lesson and Mark Andrews will get it to.

Backstage: Cameraman asks Mark why he chose to tag with Dunne, he says he's only in this match for 1 reason. When they win it should make him the #1 Contender.

Kairi Sane vs. Peyton Royce (w/Billie Kay)
Good stuff here goes around 7 minutes. Peyton is fine in control she wears Sane down with the hight, weight and power advantage. I'm just happy she didn't go after the arm. Sane's comeback is also really good, she hits the interceptor spear followed by a running blockbuster and eventually ends the match with the IN-SANE Elbow for the win. **

Next Week, Ruby/Sonya in a No Holds Barred Match.

EL IDOLO BAK NEXT WEEK :mark:

Moustache Mountain vs. Mark Andrews & Pete Dunne
Good feeling out by all 4 to start, All 4 of the combinations rule, neither team can really do anything until Dunne does a spot i've never seen before. He tags Mark in behind the refs back, so when Mark tries to get into the ring Dunne tells the ref look he's coming in illegally, that distracts the ref and Trent who also saw the tag, and that distraction allows Dunne to smash him in the face with one of his forearms. Good control from Dunne and Mark, they can't get along or even get on the same page. With Dunne wanting to work the hand and back, while Mark goes after the arm and chest. They also keep tagging in just before the other does something, that allows Trent to roll to his corner and tag Bate who cleans house. Pete bland tags in just before Bate wants to hit a frankensteiner off the top, so Mark does it anyway and Dunne catches him in mid-air and turns it into a powerbomb for two. Both teams start hitting big double team moves for near falls. But, Mark goes for the SSP but Bate avoids and hits a 15-second airplane spin. BUT from behind Dunne rolls Bate up while he's dizzy for two. They go back and forth for a bit and Bate hits the Tyler Driver 97 for the win. **1/2

After the match; Mark goes to help Dunne up, but Dunne pushes him away. Mark then goes to leave but Dunne attacks him from behind and drops him with the Bitter End to end the show.

NXT Episode 277
December 6th, 2017
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

In the back, GM Regal announces Drew did get injured at TakeOver, so he's making 4 qualifying matches with the winners squaring off in a Fatal 4-Wa, with the winner getting a World Title shot against Almas at TakeOver in January. Tonight, it will be Dain vs. Trent7 and OhNo vs. Dream (Dream too got injured at TakeOver, so Regal has found a replacement)

THE NEW WORLD CHAMPION! EL IDOLO! COMES OUT TO OPEN THE SHOW! He takes a good 2 minutes walking around ringside just gloating and rubbing it in the fans faces. Vega grabs a mic and says we are all witnesses to the beginning of a historic championship reign. RESPECT THE MAN! Embrace the legend, rise for your NXT Champion. Almas takes the mic and begins yelling "I TOOOLLLD YOUU & I AM THE CHAMPION" He also speaks in Spanish so I have no idea what he says, but I'm pretty sure it was fire.

Earlier Today, Larz is talking to the NXT reporters about his qualifying match against Roddy. Lars says Roddy is a hell of a competitor and one handsome guy. He likes to talk about his family, I DON'T HAVE A FAMILY! All I Care about it getting his hands on it the NXT World title. A reporter asks what it would mean to win the world title in Philly, he says it will just mean he gets to show the world what kind of superstar he is.

#1 Contenders Qualifying Match: Trent Seven vs. Killian Dain
Not much of a real match, they're still building up Dain so he pretty much destroys Trent for 3 minutes before hitting the Vader Bomb for the win.

Backstage: The UE say they told you so, they told you they are taking NXT over and they put a stamp on things at WarGames. Not only did they survive, but they also won. Cole says he faces Black next week, and Black has run through everyone but he's not faced anyone the likes of him before. Kyle says in 2 weeks they get a shot at the Tag Titles and SAnitY. Fish says they like to talk about chaos, and they're gonna bring more than that.

No Holds Barred Match: Ruby Riot vs. Sonya Deville
This is a thing, it gets a shit load of time cause it's a blowoff feud. Weirdly laid out match, Start of the match sees Sonya going after the ankle, and they water down the ankle lock to Kurt's level like having Ruby in the ankle lock for about 4 minutes before she breaks free. But they just move along to Sonya working the mid-section for the rest of the match, even with Nigel and Mauro talking about the ankle for the rest of the match. Their version of no holds barred is like some underground street fight so, tons of shitty striking and holds they just don't break for rope breaks, no weapons or anything. Sonya chokes her out in a triangle choke when she catches Ruby coming into the ring after a dive for the win. *

Good now both these ladies can fuckoff to the main roster.

Outside the building Ember is talking to NXT reporters, she says it's a dream come true being champion and her goal is to be the best woman's champion in NXT history. The Iconics comes over and says she didn't pin Peyton, so she wants a shot. Ember says once they figure it out, get back to her and she has no problem beating them up.

Dunne/Bate - NXT TITLE REMATCH in 2 weeks.

QUEEN OF SPADES COMING SOON!

#1 Contenders Qualifying Match: Kassius OhNo vs. Johnny Gargano
It really makes no sense that Gargano gets this match, he's lost to Almas twice, lost to Fabian, and lost to Dunne. So why does he get rewarded? Ohno uses her height, power, weight, and her supreme mat wrestling to control early. Which forces Gargano to go to the speed and quick-strike offense, awesome spot with Gargano attempting the slingshot spear through the ropes but Ohno's gut catches it in mid-move and follows up with a quick elbow to take back over again. Really awesome Ohno control now, he targets the jaw and the nose, everything pinpoint and looking nasty. Gargano has a nice comeback, he begins breaking Ohno down with kicks so he can hit those slingshot moves. I love that they play up both guys knowing one another, so they have counters for counters, they also have to start busting out new moves and new sequences to set up the big strike or big move that the other wanted. Ohno begins getting more frustrated as the match goes along at not being able to put Gargano away, so he begins laying in the stikes a little harder than when the match first started, he hits some sick sounding big boots, and BUSTS OUT THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ROLLING LARIAT but Gargano again kicks out. Ohno removes the elbow pad, but Gargano hits 3 superkicks in a row and locks on the Gargano escape forcing Ohno to tap. ***1/4

Tonight: Black/Cole

Andrade 'Cien' Almas (w/Zelina Vega) vs. Fabian Aichner
Fucking dope 2-minute match, Fabian hits about 3 moves but they're all dope. 1, being a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, 2nd being his no hands springboard plancha and the 3rd a springoard tornado DDT for two. He follows uup with a powerbomb and Almas again kicks out, he stops taking Fabian lightly when he shoves him into the steps and hits the Hammerlock DDT for the win. **1/2

Oney Larcan & Danny Burch vs. The Authors of Pain (w/Paul Ellering)
Another short banger, team skinhead hit hard, but AoP hit harder. They hit the supercollider and the Last chapter on Oney for the win. **1/4

Ember Moon vs. Peyton Royce (w/Billie Kay)
This gets more time than the previous 2 matches combined, smh. It's decent. Same Iconic formula, face controls early until the other person on the floor causes' a distraction or gets involved to shift the momentum. Peyton does a bunch of stuff to fill time, Ember has a rare off night during the comeback, it seems the match gets caught as they go straight into the finish with Moon hitting the Eclipse for the win. the Only highlight was Nigel trying to get Peyton the nickname Pay-Ro like J-Lo :lmao *1/2

After the match; Kay hits the shades of Kay big boots and the Iconics beat down Ember until Nikki Cross makes the save.

Black cup boyz do some hood shit in the streets.

#1 Contenders Qualifying Match: Adam Cole vs. Aleister Black
Just under 10 and it's a good TV match to set up the feud, Cole works the head and neck to pass the time. He keeps doing the "ADAM COLE BAY BAY" taunt which keeps backfiring on him, Black makes his usual comeback before they go into trading big near falls. But, Black hits the Black Mass out of nowhere for the win. **
