The trailer makes me think it is going to suck. We will see

Upon paying closer attention to the trailer I realize this is an American remake of a film from Uruguay called La Casa Muda (literally translates to The Silent House). La Casa Muda is notorious for being one of the few "single-take" films in cinematic history, in the sense that it appears to be one long and continuous shot. While I appreciate that one for its uniqueness, I do not think this American version will be as good or will appeal to the widespread audience.

It has the hot Olson sister in it though. And I thought it looked decent as far as the trailer goes. I wouldn't go to the theater to see it, but I will give it a watch.

They're remaking this already? I haven't even been able to find the original yet, heard good things though and I'll definitely be watching that before this...

It's on the internet but there's no English subtitles so unless you speak Spanish I'd say wait until a better version comes out.

Well, didn't the American version do the single shot take too for the remake? It wouldn't be right if they didn't and last I remember, Netflix said it was single shot for the remake. I have yet to watch it but eventually I'm gonna sit down and watch it.

Neither of them are single shot takes, they're just carefully edited to appear that way. I was able to pinpoint at least 10 instances where there was some creative editing.
