Server Upgrade: EVERYONE READ

We've grown to a point that are current hosting package no longer supports the site, as a result we have to move up to the next package.

The move will take place on Tue(10/16) and there will most likely be a small amount of downtime along with issues accessing the site afterwards. All issues should be resolved after the move withing 24 hours so bear with anything that happens.

I've wanted to push this off, but at this point we are maxing out our current package and it's drastically hurting performance. Just wanted to enough notice so everyone knows about the move.

The 26th is a Friday, not a Tuesday. Just making sure that the update is happening on that Friday, or if it's actually on the Tuesday, which is the 23rd.

Thanks for the warning, Ben - ever since WCF's perennial megacrash, I've been wary of any and all server issues, so it's good to know there will be a reason for them.

If the gifs are causing you problems with the site, it's most likely on your end.

Nothing about the site will change, it's just a server upgrade. If anything, the site will load faster.

Quick question, will the sizes for avatars and sigs be upgraded? It's annoying when I find what I think is the perfect gif for my avatar, but it's too big...

No it won't, but expect to see changes made to avatar and signature rules / sizes soon.

We are still taxing the server, and Tuesday is really the earliest I can do the migration. So as a result I had to turn off features to keep the site somewhat usable until then.
