Potential New Stable on Smackdown + MATT HARDY NEWS

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is considering putting together a “SHOOTERS” stable, similar to the old Varsity Club, on Smackdown. Shelton Benjamin may return to WWE once he heals from rotator cuff surgery, and he would be part of the stable along with Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler.

Chad Gable was going to lead a shooters group in NXT, but it was dropped because Vince McMahon wasn’t a fan of the gimmick.

At least the jackets will be lit.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is reportedly interested in having Matt Hardy come back to the company. WWE has sent out feelers through intermediaries, with the word being that Triple H wants him once his contract expires in the spring.

Matt has a ton of creative control (in regards to his character) in TNA, can make his own schedule (in comparison a full time WWE schedule is brutal) and between his TNA deal, independent date and merchandise sales is doing extremely well financially.

I don't see Matt returning

Matt should stay where he's at. He's been used better over the last year in TNA than he was almost his entire WWE run.

And this Broken gimmick has him more over than he's been since V1.

I can't say Matt isn't doing well right now but nonetheless WWE is the place to be so once his TNA gimmick has run its course, I think Matt could and should return.

WWE gives no fucks about Matt Hardy unless Jeff comes with him. So that's the key

Both of these ideas are bad. WCW tried reviving the VC in 99 and that was about ten years after the original gimmick. It bombed then and I think the same would happen now.
