New GM for SD Live?

– A new report says that Nikki Bella may return to WWE television in an authority figure role on Smackdown. According to the WON, Bella will be trying to get the job of Smackdown General Manager in the new season of Total Divas, which is set to premiere on Wednesday night.

Daniel Bryan is the current GM of the brand, though there is a lot of speculation regarding his WWE status as his contract runs out next year and he may leave the company in order to wrestle on the indies. WWE will not allow Bryan to compete in the ring due to health risks. Bella has been on a hiatus while she heals up from some long-term injuries. Her run on Dancing With the Stars came to an end on Monday after she was eliminated.

Bella being part of a storyling in Total Divas does not, of course, confirm that she will get the role. But WWE being okay with such a storyline on Total Divas may be a sign that they’re interested in exploring the idea.

It's hard to say without getting a glimpse of how it would have worked, but I think she would have fit in with the land of pretend opportunities.
