I never watched WCW. We were a WWF house. I can still watch the RVD title win to this day and get goosebumps. It was an amazing moment.

RVD's title win just wasn't that special to me because it was always something that would happen eventually as soon as he signed with WWE. I think pretty much every wrestling fan on earth saw that coming.

Not really for me because I thought after they didn't give him the belt when he was white hot going at it with Austin and Angle in the early 2000's and such I was thinking he'd never get it. Cena was in full superman mode at that point so there was some uncertainty there.

Oh come on. Eddie and Benoit both won world titles in 2004 and both of them joined WWE before RVD and went a long time without actually winning the big one. Even Jericho had to put in time. RVD was always next in line behind those guys. It's just a shame he didn't take better advantage of his opportunity. He would probably still be huge today.

Yeah but that didn't mean he was going to win it just because they won it. Some guys go their whole career without winning the biggest title and it wouldn't have surprised me if he was one of those guys. I never got the feeling it was inevitable for him to become WWE champion.
