This was a storyline. It was set up to give Hogan time off and start fresh. They dropped the lay down angle and never explained it. Originally, Hogan was supposed to come back and feud with the new version of the now, but that didn't happen.

Hogan being Hogan and refusing to lose clean to somebody.

Utilizing his creative control and just being a dick.

That was not the case in this scenario. This was a Russo idea to set up for something else. Just like when Jeff Jarrett laid down for him, that was a work. Well, everyone except Double J knew about that one.

Wow, worked and buried much?

Plus, got to love how you championed guys like Hall and Nash in another thread when they were guilty of doing shit like this all the time to a much greater degree.

Yeah, Nash killed Jean-Pierre Lafitte's (who was mad over in Canada) attempt at a decent run in WWF at the time. He refused to do a damn No decision at a Canadian House Show that would have drew mad money for the rematch. But hey, he listened to HBK and demanded a Jack Knife and Clean pin fall.

So many more people could have made a better champion than Nash in WWF at that time.

God Russo in WCW sucked and blowed.

A lot of fans blame the Fingerpoke of Doom as the beginning of the end for WCW. For me, it was HH99.
