Emmalina is a running gag? Maybe.

more promotional videos, it was announced that Emmalina would debut on Raw on the December 12, 2016, episode of Raw. When those plans failed to materialize, WWE changed the tone of the promos. Emma(lina) began playfully thanking us for being patient, but the videos kept coming.

Into January, Emmalina had yet to appear despite WWE’s constant promotions of her upcoming return. However, there was no mention of her on Raw last Monday.

So what’s going on with her?

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer, WWE actually has no plans for Emma at this time.

On Twitter, a fan asked Meltzer what’s going on with Emma. He replied:

Only good thing to come out of all this waiting is all the incredible photosets she's done. Debuting her now would just be a huge waste of time given this Mania buildup is going to be all about Bayley winning the title. Just drop the promos, get Dana away from Charlotte asap and let Emma and Dana team up again like they did in NXT where they were great together.

They almost always seem to miss the mark no matter who they debut when they string it along like this...just look at those Island Promos Primo and his partner did before debuting as a new tag team for the 8th time. Lol
