Best WrestleMania First Round: WrestleMania X8 vs WrestleMania 29

These are both kinda meh ones for me tbh, I only went with 29 bc it had a more consistent card where the only thing worth noting for X8 was Hogan/Rock

29 had a lot potential I don't feel it lived up to. Meanwhile X8 was like a homecoming for me.

I was already a huge fan of the time period for WWF, but I was always a bigger WCW fan so to see so many WCW guys make their debuts on this show and then to see the nWo make their WWF returns after 6-9 years, magnificent.

I doubt anyone who watched the magic of Rock and Hogan live can deny that electricity that night.

Rock/Hogan and Arn Anderson giving Taker a spinebuster were my highlights for 18.

But I’m still taking it over 29

Its 18 for me. The main event was a let down. But if you look at the quality of the undercard it actually matches up quite well to 29's. Plus Hogan/Rock is so much more unique to me than an unwanted Cena/Rock sequel.
