This shit was just insane, they worked in so many callbacks to all the previous films without feeling forced. Literally the best kind of fan service there is bc it all fit in the story and still made me feel so happy as a fan of the MCU for years.
The time travel stuff I feel like might turn off a lot of people, and I wasn't high on it until I saw the movie but I fucking loved it. I'm sure there are some small plot holes just bc it's time travel, but I doubt it's anything they can't fix or clarify in future movies. All 2012 scenes were amazing and watching the GoTG Vol. 1 intro from a different perspective was a huge highlight The only thing I really wonder about is the 5 year time skip affecting other movies, mostly just the next Spider-Man. I mean it's not a big deal but I'm assuming the movie now takes place in like 2023 or whenever, which is just gonna be a little weird, but since the world did seem to kinda stop after the snap those five years, it will most likely make sense for not a lot to have changed.
That final battle though BRUH it was one of the greatest things I've ever seen, from Cap wielding Mjolnir to the "on your left" spot and then Cap finally saying "Avengers Assemble" in a way that not only made the wait worth it from the first Avengers movie in 2012, but completely blew me away when that was the one thing, if any, I was expecting from the movie. Yeah just inject that whole last battle straight into my fucking veins. Closing scenes were great too, I'm normally not a big fan of extended scenes after the big battles in movies, but I really enjoyed where everyone else is going to end up especially FAT Thor joining the Guardians
I've seen a lot of people complain about Cap's ending being too perfect, and I would have said that too if I just read it on paper (I personally thought Cap should have died and Tony lived before watching the movie), but the way their roles kinda reversed was so awesome and fuck it Cap deserves that after all his shit.
Also s/o to my boy Edwin Jarvis from the Agent Carter tv show becoming the first character to debut in a TV show and make his way into the movies.
There's really so much to talk about that happened in the movie, I've seen it twice now and I just know I'm gonna be watching that final battle a million times once it's out of theaters, shit was just awesome to see as a fan of the series for so long. I expect the future to be much more scaled down before they try another "saga" like this was, which I'm looking forward to as well, but with the fox properties available to use now who knows.
