Ask Cesaro how that worked out for him...
What was he supposed to happen? Get the belt right after Mania? Was he supposed to be this megastar because he swung people every once in awhile? Get a personality and don't suck on commentary, because that whole "good worker" isn't going to get him shit besides being a helluva hand who is used to make people.

Not a bad position imo, most of those types stick around longer than gimmicks and guys who are hotshotted.

Entertaining segment, two guys who are familiar that they can just go back and forth off each other for six minutes on the mic without needing every line scripted out for them.

With the right angle and build up I guess Triple H vs The Rock at WM31 would help draw for the show. I just hope its not THE main event and that they don't feel the need to make it a title match just so it can be artificially "bigger".

Yeah you totally didn't go way overboard with that.

Silly or not, the guy was pretty fucking hot when he had the whole 'King of Swing' and you knew what his deal was. Nowadays he's just Cesaro who wears a robe and a fucking towel on his head. Fact is he was in a better position (not literally I guess) prior to WrestleMania than he is now and then totally killed all his momentum since he went with Heyman.

^Besides which he is strong on the mic IMO and also has the sort of look which WWE normally digs so really ticks a lot of the boxes and like you say was hot. I wouldn't have put the world title on him, but certainly would have kept him high up the card.

Wouldn't say he was strong on the mic at all, there's a reason he's been paired with multiple managers.

Go overboard on a snarky statement? Unheard of.

He came out the next night on Raw with Paul Heyman, we marked.....we fantasy booked, and then what happened? He did absolutely nothing to make himself into anything, they were still doing CM Punk chants during his matches. Those smarky fucks from the post-Mania Raw left him with nothing but ONE night and he was back at square one....remember this other guy a post-Mania crowd popped for huge? Remember this guy Dolph Ziggler, they were chanting on how much they wanted him and they sure gave up on him after he lost that title didn't they?....one week it's "We Want Ziggler" nextweek he is paired with actual maineventers and then it's sit on your hands time. Just like Cesaro. I want him to succeed, but if he is painted with that smarkjuice, he ain't going anywhere because those fickle fucks won't help him.
