NXT World Champion: Drew McIntyre
NXT World Tag Team Champions: SAnitY
NXT Woman's Champion: Asuka
United Kingdom Champion: Pete Dunne

NXT Episode 263
August 30th, 2017
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

The show opens with SAnitY and a bunch of security laid out in the parking lot, in the far distance 3 white guys walk off :hm:

NEW NXT Champion Drew McIntyre comes out to open the show, he says all the ups/downs/bumps and bruises over the last 17 years has led him to this moment. This is his life's work, and he knows this title leads to a target on his back, hell not even a minute into his reign as champion, they're already lining up. And that's fine, it's one thing to win it, but a whole another to keep it. Bobby, Kyle, and Adam Cole. Every single person in that locker, it's Drew McIntyre's world and if you want a shot at the champ, just walk down to this ring and ask for a fight. RODDY comes out now, he says he wants to be the first to congratulate him and also be the first to agree with him, he saw what happen to him and doesn't care about them or that, all he wants is the NXT World title. Tonight he beats Roode, and after that, he wants his shot. Drew says he stepped up like a man, he just hopes Roddy is okay to get knocked out like a man.

ASUKA RETURNS NEXT WEEK :mjcry

Peyton Royce (w/Billie Kay) vs. Ruby Riot
Gets close to 10 minutes, it's fairly good. They go back and forth for the opening minutes or so, Peyton does so nice mean girls bullying, not much focus just toying and taking her time beating Ruby up. Ruby has a nice comeback, and they begin trading near falls until KAY SNEAKS IN A DIRTY BIG BOOT ON THE FLOOR AND ROLLS HER BACK IN ALLOWING Peyton to hit the fisherman suplex for the win. **1/4

pv9fDOj.gif

Backstage: Christy asks Regal about the attack earlier, but gets interrupted by Kassius, Ohno says now that's he's healthy, all he wants is another match with Hideo. Regal books, Ohno then asks for it to be NoDq and he accepts.

Heavy Machinery vs. Damien Aweel & Edwin Negron
Fun HM showcase, the double team super splash ends it, in 2 minutes.

Backstage: Regal books LARZ in a 3-1 match next week against all the partners he's beaten up. Good booking.

Roderick Strong vs. Bobby Roode
I'm kinda thinking about world title runs, as this is Roode's last match and I think Roode had the best world title run so far in NXT. He's basically Trips/Flair lite but shit, it's batting 1,000. This rules again, they have good chemistry, I thought they would lose some of the hate with Roode no longer being champ, but Roddy and Roode both keep that same energy in beating the shit out of one another, Roddy just wants to punish him with backbreakers, so he doesn't go for covers, while Roode tries to embarrass Roddy but it doesn't work out so just tries to outlast Roody and find that opening. He eventually gets it by shoving Roody into the steps and hitting the Double A spinebuster onto the floor to take over. Roode goes back into his cocky bag and begins doing backbreakers to Roddy. Sadly, Roddy's selling isn't on par to the knee selling he did in their first meet, more selling the time they've been in the ring fighting. FUCK YEAH! RODDY BUSTS OUT THE GIBSON DRIVER :mark: But he only uses it as a transition into the strong hold, but Roode gets to the ropes. They begin trading near falls until Roddy hits the angle slam followed by jumping high knee for two. Roddy tries to go for the side-walk slam onto the top turnbuckle but Roode shoves him off, so Roddy drills him with a nasty enzuigiri followed by a superplex for two. Roddy goes for the high knee again, but Roode avoids and he almost hits the ref but doesn't that allows Roode to hit the DDT. BUT THIS TIME RODDY ROLLS TO THE ROPES AND GETS HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE FOR TWO:mark: Roode begins trash talking, so RODDY DRILLS HIM WITH 2 JUMPING HIGH KNEES AND A SICK RUNNING KNEE WITH THE EXPOSED KNEE, HE HITS A MODIFIED END OF HEARTACHE. BUT HE'S NOT DONE. HE BLOWS HIM THE KISS OF DEATH AND HITS A 2ND EAN OF HEARTACHE FOR THE BIG WIN. So fucking good, best feud of the year and the best feud since Sami/KO. ***1/4

6W11Gx9.gif

After the match; Drew comes out onto the stage.....................BUT Adam, Kyle, and Bobby attack him on the stage. Roddy watches on from the ring. CAHOOTS?!?!?!?!?!

NXT Episode 264
September 6th, 2017
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Quick recap of the Ohno/Hideo feud.

Andrade "Cien" Almas (w/Zelina Vega) vs. Cezar Bononi
Showcase for the NEW Almas, he beats up this jobber and hits the Hammerlock DDT to avenge that loss.

Backstage: GM Regal says he's made sure to tell Cole, Bobby and Kyle all the attack in the PC, locker room and parking lot comes to an end.

Backstage: Christy is outside Asuka's locker room when the Dream comes over, he says he knows he said he wouldn't talk to the universe until the "ambiance" was right, but watching Brooklyn he was compelled. He saw a man who needs HIS experience, so the dream will speak soon, very soon.

Lars Sullivan vs. Jake James, Alfred Watkins, & Ricky Martinez
AWSOME LARZ SQUASH!

GOD FUCKING DAMMIT! JOSE COMES OUT AND TALKS BEFORE SUCKER PUNCHING LARZ. But Larz fights back like a good guy and leaves Jose for dead again.

At the PC, Gargano is talking to the media. He again says Vega didn't cost him the match, he lost focus. Moss and that other guy come over and make fun of Gargano loss. He then challenges one of them.

Live via video recording SAnitY are in the woods, EY says they've noticed something about the new guys. They dance a little different, at the end of their life they're gonna look back at TakeOver and rethink their decision. They don't care about where they'll be or who they'll end up being. All they care about is, CHAOS!

Zeda vs. Sonya Deville
FUCK YEAH! Zeda and dat ASS! Short Sonya showcase, she locks in a triangle choke for the win.

Back at the PC, Burch and Oney are training together against some prospects when Ruby comes over to GM Regal and asks for a 2-1 match against the Iconics. Regal says he can't do that, but he will make it a tag match, and she can find her own partner.

No Disqualification Match: Kassius OhNo vs. Hideo Itami
Hard-hitting very physical, Ohno controls in the early going but Hideo slams Ohno's head off the ring post and Ohno takes a straight flatback bump onto the steel steps giving Hideo control. They do a weird spot with Ohno throwing a chair at Hideo, and he grabs it. I guess in Ohno's mind Hideo was supposed to lose focus when he grabbed the chair, which allows him to hit a rolling elbow. But Hideo knows him too well and puts the chair up so Ohno injures his arm elbowing the chair. Sadly, I think either the arm work gets cut or they never do it, as after the break the match cuts back to the Ohno comeback. He hits his own version of the GTS, well he just swings Hideo around and drills him with an elbow, but Hideo's momentum sent him to the floor. Ohno keeps hitting him with elbows, with the "injured" elbow, but at least he sells it like he's in pain while doing so. But Hideo comes right back with a fisherman release suplex onto the ramp. Back in he hits the hesitation running dropkick with the Chair on Ohno's face, but only gets two. Hideo again loses focus and begins yelling "SHOW ME RESPECT" Which allows Ohno to recover, Hideo goes for a low blow again, but Ohno blocks it and hits him one with his own before hitting a 3rd rolling elbow for the win. **1/2

Next Week: The Iconics vs. Ruby & ???, Dunne vs. Wolfgang - UK Title

NEW WOMAN'S CHAMPION ASUKA COMES DOWN TO THE RING, She says she has been in NXT for almost 2 years, and have fought so many great superstars and loves NXT. She grew so much here and is grateful for NXT. Regal says since becoming champion she has done nothing but defend that title with honor, and calls her one of the greatest champions in WWE history. Now, it's time for her to show the WORLD! Regal announces that he's in talks with Kurt and Byan. But with that, she will have to step down as NXT champion :( Ember comes out, and ASUKA FINALLY EMBRACES HER! DAT PASSING OF THE TORCH!

All the boys and girls come from the back and give Asuka a standing ovation, and rightfully so. She carried this company as the top singles act for the past year and a half. NXT just lost it's 3rd biggest wrestler of all time. Right behind Sami and Bayley. RIP Greatest theme song in NXT history.

Tripsgod also comes out with flowers, cause, you know, he made this happen.

NXT Episode 265
September 13th, 2017
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

The Iconic Duo vs. Ruby Riot & ???
No one comes out to tag with Ruby, so it's essentially a 2-1 for a couple of minutes. BUT NIKKI CROSS COMES THROUGH THE CROWD TO WATCH? BUT THEN GETS ONTO THE APRON AND TAGS HERSELF IN. She cleans house and tags Ruby in before leaving allowing Riot to hit the back senton off the top for the win.

In the back, No Way challenges LARZ to a match.

Johnny Gargano vs. Riddick Moss (w/Tino Sabbatelli)
Shockingly, this is a really good time. Like it really has no business being this good. But it's Gargano against a larger powerful guy, so he bumps his ass off and to make Moss look like a million bucks. And to give Moss credit he does all the muscle guy power moves and holds but with aggression. Gargano also sells the back LIKE WHAT THE FUCK! Of all the matches now you want to sell. He makes a nice johnny comeback, but Moss is too big so he can't hit all his usual spots. Moss is the first to break the Gargano escape and Johnny does this amazing facial expression like maybe he can't do this singles. But he quickly breaks out of it, kicks that bum Tino in the face and hits the slingshot spear for the win. **1/4

The Street Profits vs. The Ealy Brothers
LOL @ THE EALY's still being a thing. Basic SP showcase, I'm just gonna start referring to their finisher as Down with the Browns as they just stole D'Lo's 2 finishers.

Backstage: Christy asks Regal his plans for the NXT Woman's title, he says he has some plans lined up and will get back to her.

Backstage: Christy asks Wolfgang for his mindset going into this title match, Wolfy says he's never been so ready for a match. Just pinned the 1st ever UK champion and tonight he will walk away with the UK title as his crown.

United Kingdom Championship: Wolfgang vs. Pete Dunne
Dunne immediately goes into his awesome arm and wrist and finger work, it's so good and violent. But Wolfgang counters into a cravat hold of his own, they go back and forth trading holds until Wolf uses his power to throw Dunne around. but Dunne hits a slingshot DDT onto the apron to gain control back. Just like the Hideo/Ohno match this gets super edited and gets right to Wolfgang making a comeback. He hits the deadlift apron suplex and goes for the senton bomb, but Dunne avoids and tries to lock in the cross arm breaker to the injured arm but Wolf fights it off, they begin trading big strikes until Dunne hits the big elbow and hits the bitter end for the win. **1/4

After the match; Cole, Kyle, and Fish storm the ring, they circle Dunne. AND DUNNE DECKS KYLE, WHICH LEADS TO THEM ATTACKING HIM. Wolfgang makes the save which allows Dunne to roll to the floor. THEN WE GET THE GIF!!!!

7L3NvM8.gif

Cole drops Wolfy with a shining wizard and they all stand tall to end the show.

Johnny Gargano vs. Tino Sabbatelli (w/Riddick Moss)
This again had no business being good, but Gargano does everything he can to make this bitch look great. He bumps and sells his ass of once again, they book the match and have Tino dominate 95% of the match, but he makes the mistake of pumping himself up after hitting an impressive slam by letting Johny up, he begins yelling "he was the weak link" which allows Gargano to hit a superkick, and locks in the stretch for the win. **

Backstage: RODDY IS BACK! He tells Regal he feels he's done enough to get another world title match, and Regal agrees so he books Roddy/Drew in two weeks for the title :mark:

In a pre-tape, Sonya Deville says you ever wonder why she and Asuka have never been in the same ring together? That's because Asuka knew she would beat her and would have been champion, and now with Asuka is gone. That title is as good as hers.

Lacey Evans vs. Bianca Belair
FUCK YEAH! THEY COME OUT THE BOX WITH HATE AND INTENSITY! They skip all the feeling out and go right into punching and punking the other out, Belair hits Beth's double arm slam, for two, someone should really tell her to make that 1 of her finishes along with the 450. They go back and forth trading moves and strikes, until Belair hotshots Lacey throat first onto the top rope and hits one sick hair whip follows by a reverse powerbomb for the win. **1/2

Alester Black comes down to the ring, to talk for the first time. He says 15 years ago he started a journey that led him here to NXT. In those 15 years he traveled the world and experienced a lot, and he put those experiences on his skin in scars. Simply because he wanted to forget and didn't want to be remembered, from the heart on his throat to the devil on his back. But his journey in NXT is far from done, and he now knows what he as to do.......................BUT THE VELVETEEN DREAM'S MUSIC HITS AND OUT COMES THE DREAM :mark: Dream says everything that fades to black must come into the light, here we have Alester Black. The man who for 15 years walked through darkness only to be blinded by your Velveteen Dream. And with all his blinding light, he still doesn't see it. Where are your scars? The dream doesn't see scars he sees a hurt man, a man in pain, and if he couldn't tell he can see the lies on his skin. But his biggest problem is, not feeling but fear. He seems afraid to show emotion and is scared of the light. And he knows he has a heart, but in the wrong place. BLACK THEN HITS THE BLACK MASS KICKING THE MIC OUT OF THE DREAMS HAND AND DOES THE SITDOWN TAUNT, BUT DREAM DROPS TO HIS KNEES AND SLIDES OUT OF THE RING! :mark:

arNTKhb.gif
JFFQblV.gif

No Way Jose vs. Lars Sullivan
Larz squash.

SHOCK THE SYSTEM DEBUTS! :mark:

Mustache Mountain vs. Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly (w/Adam Cole)
UK guys control early, but Kyle distracts Trent as he's about to dive to the floor, which allows Fish to attack him from behind giving his team the advantage. Good control from Redragon, lots of MMA takedowns and strikes. They don't pick a body part, more just beat up Trent for a while. Bate has a nice hot tag, he and Kyle have a pretty dope back and forth, the match breaks down, Trent hits a suicide drive wiping Fish out, and Kyle locks in a front guillotine but Bate tries to power out, but from behind Fish kicks him in the knee and they do the kick to the head, brainbuster spot but Bate's foot reaches the ropes. Trent gets his own hot tag, but the numbers catch up to them. Cole drills Bate on the floor with a superkick, and they hit double roundhouse kicks followed by TOTAL ELIMINATION on Trent for the win. **1/2

After the match; Drew runs out but Future Shock bail through the crowd. BUT SANITY COME THROUGH THE CURTAINS AND EVERYONE BRAWLS TO END THE SHOW.

NXT Episode 267
September 27th, 2017
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

GM Regal opens the show, he announces a fatal 4 way at TakeOver Houston to crown a NEW woman's champion.

SAnitY comes through the crowd, EY has a mic and says you guys want to make your mark, but they are the group that wrote the book on making a mark. The only thing for sure is change, and tonight Adam Cole, I'm going to take you to the edge of sanity.

Backstage: Christy is with Oney, she asks what his thoughts going into his match against LARZ. Oney says he doesn't like Lars and didn't like what he did against Jose, SCREW THAT! Let's see what he can do to him.

Lars Sullivan vs. Oney Lorcan
Awesome Larz showcase, but it's not completely one-sided as Oney makes sure to get some of his shit in. Awesome spot with Oney trying a no hands plancha over the top, but Lars catches him in mid-air and slams him on the apron. THE ONEY SLAPS AND UPPERCUTS HAVE NO EFFECTS BECAUSE LARZ COMES BACK WITH A GROSS LARIAT TURING ONEY INSIDE OUT. He then hits a side slam for the win. **1/2

9Oeab7V.gif

After the match, Larz goes for another side slam, but Danny Burch runs down and saves Oney.

Backstage: Kayla asks Ruby about her thoughts on the Iconics asking for a rematch against her and Cross, Ruby cuts her off and says they're not friends and has no problems fighting the iconic's, and if Cross wants to get involved she can, but just stay out of her way.

Heavy Machinery vs. Demitrius Bronson & Patrick Scott
Showcase for the heavy ones. Double splash ends it.

Earlier today at the PC, GM Regal is talking to the media when he spots Gargano leaving the building. Regal calls him over and books him vs. Almas in 2 weeks :mark:

Earlier today at the PC, Christy asks Roddy about his preparation for this world title match next week. Roddy says he's training the way he always does, like this, is his last match. Drew knows that, and saw it when he looked him in the eyes, it rattled him a little bit. And he wants to talk about how he's going to knock me out. But he knows, I will keep getting back up. I fear nothing, I've worked my life for this. And the outcome will be different.

Liv Morgan vs. Vanessa Borne
The blind leading the blind, it's not good. Lots of basic stuff, Liv hits a new version of the codebreaker for the win.

Recap of Dream/Black from last week airs.

Earlier Today, Black is training at the PC. A reporter asks him for his thoughts on the Dream. Black says in this age of individuality, there is always that one that thinks he's the most unique and special. But left to his own devices he tries to antagonize the heard. But the truth is, they all want recognition. But I refuse to acknowledge a child that holds his breath to get what he wants or throws a tantrum to get attention. By being bizarre Patrick thinks he can get my attention. He is wrong.

Fabian Aichner vs. Kassius OhNo
Good Ohno showcase, elbows, kicks, punches all on point, and Fabian has a good showing too. He hits this awesome leaping to the top rope no hands plancha like Taka use to do. He does a fantastic job of mixing highflying and showing off his power game by throwing Ohno around, who, well, is way larger than him. Fabian makes the mistake of going for a moonsault which misses allowing Ohno to make a comeback, he finishes the match with the rolling big boot for the win. **1/2

Z0Z4jYG.gif

Backstage: Some new geek interviews Drew, Drew says Roddy is the only guy that stepped up. And this is his only shot, Roddy is good and would be the champion if HE wasn't here.

SHOCK THE SYSTEM~!

Cole gets on the mic, he says how did this place survive without them. Ladies and Gentleman, he can feel something in the air, focus, close your eyes and feel this moment. What you feel is change, what you feel is a shock to the system. WE ARE UNTOUCHABLE! WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE! WE ARE UNDISPUTED!

Adam Cole (w/Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) vs. Eric Young (w/SAnitY)

Goes about 5 minutes so it's nothing to get hyped about, lots of Cole shortcuts and cheating, he works the neck for a bit, it goes nowhere before EY makes a comeback. Fish and Kyle try to get involved again, which leads to a big brawl on the floor. EY then hits a crossbody taking out everyone, what allows Cole to hit a shining wizard when EY rolls back in for the win.

NXT Episode 268
October 4th, 2017

Ruby Riot vs. The Iconic Duo
Same deal as the last time, Iconics isolate and control for a long ass period of time, its fine, not much to write home about. Cross eventually comes down to ringside and gets on the apron. She gets the hot tag and cleans house Riot hits the Pele kick for the win.

At the PC Christy asks Lars why he's so enraged and asks for his thoughts on Burch challenging him, Lars says he's always in control of everything he does in and out of the ring, and his opponents should all be afraid.

Earlier Today, Vega is walking the streets when the NXT reports all run up on her with questions. He asks what her thoughts are on the Gargano/Almas rematch, Vega says she knows exactly how to play on Gargano's heartstrings, and they will beat him again CLEAN! And he has his sights on the NXT World championship.

SAnitY/Undisputed Era ~ 6-Man Tag Match in two weeks.

Lio Rush also makes his debut, he's supposed to be facing Aleister Black, but the Dream comes out through the crowd and attacks Lio. He beats him down before hitting the purple rainmaker. Black comes into the ring, but Dream bails to the floor. HE THEN TELLS AT BLACK TO SAY HIS NAME AND ACKNOWLEDGE HIM! But Black refuses to even look at him, so Dream leaves pissed.

Kairi Sane vs. Aliyah
Solid Sane showcase, goes about 3 minutes. It's the best Aliaya has looked as she's forced to work heel. Sane has a nice comeback and hits the elbow drop for the win.

Next Week: Liv/Peyton/Cross - Winner gets to be in the Four-Way at TakeOver & Almas/Gargano Rematch.

NXT World Championship: Roderick Strong vs. Drew McIntyre
I've always liked this pairing, they had some really good matches in Evolve back in 15/16. Both guys hit hard and it rules, they don't have the traditional feeling out, they just go right into beating the shit out of one another. Neither man can really get an advantage for long periods of times early, but the pace is mainly controlled by Drew, that is until Roddy drops him with a sick backbreaker onto the steps to take over. Roddy's back work is Roddy's back work, lots of backbreakers, chops, combo moves and holds. Drew has a great comeback, he uses the power and height advantage just to throw Roddy around with desperation power moves. Kinda weird Drew never really gets to make that big comeback, they go right into both guys hitting big moves for near falls. The finish is great as it gets to show Roddy is in desperation mode so he starts throwing out big bombs, but Drew refuses to stay down. He hits the big headbutt and follows with the air raid crash from off the top, but Roddy gets hit boot on the bottom rope. Drew sets up for the big kick, but Roddy hits 3 big running knees and hits the sick kick but now it's Drew who kicks out. Drew smartly rolls to the floor and catches Roddy doing something he's never done before and that's the running apron kick, which his catches and POWERBOMBS RODDY INTO THE POST! He rolls him back in and hits the Future Shock DDT, but he sees Roddy face and Roddy has that awesome facial expression is, i'm gonna kick out so you better put me down. So Drew finishes him off with the Claymore Kick to retain. ***1/4

HusoeTz.gif

After the match; Drew and Roddy shake hands, Roddy them leaves up the ramp..............BUT THE UNDISPUTED ERA COME OUT AND TALK TO RODDY! Drew looks puzzled, as Roddy walks off.

NXT Episode 269
October 11th, 2017

Triple Threat Qualifying Match: Peyton Royce (w/Billie Kay) vs. Liv Morgan vs. Nikki Cross
This is a thing, it's not bad, but like I don't care about any of this woman. During the match, the UE come out with Fat ass Taynara Conti, they talk her into going to ringside and pulls Cross off of a pin cover, that allows Peyton to hit the spinning leg lariat followed by the fisherman buster for the win.

Lio Rush vs. The Velveteen Dream
Good stuff here, Lio uses does his awesome super fast spot shit, and bumps his ass off for Dream. It's a shame they had to give him a mic on RAW cause all I hear in my head is his 6-year-old girl voice as he wrestles. Dream hits the DVD Bomb followed by the purple rainmaker for the win.

After the match; DREAM DOES THE BLACK SITDOWN TAUNT IN THE RING :mark:

Lars Sullivan vs. Danny Burch
Another really good LARZ showcase, I like Burch he's not as good or violent as Oney, but he does hold his own. Lars hits the Freak Accident for the win.

The Street Profits vs. Damien Smith & Markos Espada-Quick
Solid SP showcase, Down with the Brown combo ends it.

Next Week: Ember/Sonya/Riot - Qualifier Match.

Johnny Gargano vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas (w/Zelina Vega)
I love Nigel man, which is crazy cause I use to hate him as the ROH announcer, but since he debuted in the WWE he off rip became the best commentator in the business. Muro asks Percy what "Johhny Wrestling" means, and Percy being the idiot he is, is like he took it from someone else and he can't go down that road, thankfully, Nigel saves it by cutting him off saying this man lives and breathes wrestling from 8 years old, he's studied the art of wrestling. God bless him. Good feeling out by these two, I love that they have some of the other stuff scouted so they build up the sequences, e.g. Almes goes to for the Tranquilo pose, but Gargano fakes him out with a superkick so Almas drops to the mat, which Gargano wants so he attempts the Gargano stretch but Almas rolls to the floor for a breather. Gargano attempts some arm work but it quickly gets shut down, when Almas hits an inverted DDT onto the apron. They do their formula of neither man able to gain the upper hand for long periods of time, so what we get is 20 minutes of awesome back and forth counters, with them learning on the fly new counters followed by big moves, strikes, and near-falls. This also benefits the match, as they don't have to sell a body part just sell the effects of the match. Late in the match Almas shoves the ref into the ropes crotching Gargano on the top rope, he goes for the Hammerlock DDT but Gargano shoves him off and hits his finishing stretch of the lawn dart, and the stretch. BUT VEGA TAKES OFF HER JACKET AND IS WEARING A DIY T-shirt, Johnny notices but goes right back to the stretch but that brief distraction allows Almas to reach the ropes, he follows up with a superkick, but tries to get too flashy with the around the world into the stretch, but Almas throws him face first into the middle turnbuckle, and follows up with the double knees to the back of the head TWICE! Johnny is out, so Almas finishes him off with the Hammerlock DDT for the win. 2-0. AWESOME MATCH! I remember this was the match, that got me to jump on the "EL IDOLO" Wagon. ***1/2

Triple Threat Qualifying Match: Sonya Deville vs. Ember Moon vs. Ruby Riot
Ruby and Ember do a good job carrying this, their interactions are the only true highlight. Sonya is pretty much just Shayna/Ronda lite, lite, like If Cola was Coke Zero and flat with no fizz that would be Sonya's fighter gimmick. I did like that they kept all 3 in the mix for the majority, and when it was 1-1 the bump that made it that was believable to keep that person down for longer than 20 seconds. Awesome bit of storytelling, Ruby hits a crossbody to the floor, but the ankle hits the steel ramp so when she rolls Ember back in and hits the Pele kick, she's too hurt to follow up that allows Sonya to sneak up from behind and lock in the ankle lock. BUT AS SHE HAS THE ANKLE LOCK APPLIES MOON COMES FROM OFF THE TOP AND HITS SONYA WITH THE ECLIPSE BUT SONYA ROLLS TO THE FLOOR AND MOON COVERS AN INJURED RUBY FOR THE WIN. **1/4

Earlier in the week, the UE talk to Roddy outside the PC. They hand him a t-shirt, but Roddy hands it back and leaves.

Backstage: Christy asks Regal how he's gonna determine the 4th woman in the 4-way for the vacant title at Houston. He books a Battle Royal for next week.

Raul Mendoza vs. Aleister Black
AS SOON AS THE BELL RINGS! Dream comes out and puts on Black's vest which distracts him long enough for Raul to get the jump on him, Raul does a couple of decent high-risk spots, nothing we haven't seen before, and I think everyone that's done them has done them better. Black strikes his way back into it, before hitting the Black Mass for the win.

After the match, Black still refuses to look at Dream, so Dream just leaves with his vest.

In the back, Christy is sitting down with NXT Champion Drew McIntyre. She asks about his journey again. Drew says it's mental, and it really was his dream, his end goal was this title and worked his butt off to get to this spot. He talks again about his first run and how it failed, he pretty much cuts the same promo he's cut for the past 2 months. He says during his last few days of his first run he felt the fire burning out, and his girlfriend/now wife told him, and he told her everything will be alright and now he's back and now world champ. BUT FUCK ALL THAT! VEGA INTERRUPTS! She says he and Almas have a lot in common, Almas was on the downward spiral too, until she came along. Drew needed to get fired and fall flat on his face tho, she asks why Drew has been avoiding Almas. Drew says he's been a bit busy, and maybe she missed it, but he said he welcomes all challenges all she as to do it ask Regal for the match. Vega says they both know, the champ he the power. Drew says if Almas wants the match, he should do it FACE TO FACE!

Kassius OhNo vs. Cezar Bononi
Decent OhNo showcase, Cezar has the basics down but outside of that, he's just a guy. Ohno hits the rolling elbow for the win.

The Undisputed Era vs. SAnitY (w/Nikki Cross)
Pretty solid TV match, but a huge dip in quality from the high-level MOTYC we've gotten the past 2 weeks. TV break really fucks the flow and I think this got edited the shit out of. Sanity control early but it's meh, same for the UE isolation on EY. They wear EY down to fill time before the big Dain hot tag, he cleans house and the match breaks down, Cole gets trapped in a 4-1................BUT AoP MAKE THEIR RETURN AND DESTROY SANITY FOR THE DQ. Makes no sense for AoP to save Cole, just attack everyone post-match.

Backstage: GM Regal adds Cross to the Battle Royal tonight, because of the fuckery in her match. He then books AoP/Sanity for the tag titles next week with, the 3rd guy of Sanity being banned at ringside.

Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan vs. Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli
FUCK THIS MATCH THE NFL REJECTS WIN! SUCK DICK!

Woman's Battle Royal
I'm not going over all the names and eliminations, Cross wins so she's in the TakeOver Match.

Earlier in the week, Drew talks to the media when Vega comes over and asks why hasn't Almas gotten his contract yet. Drew says all Almas has to do it look in him the eyes like a man, and he'll accept.

Aleister Black comes out for a match.....................BUT THE DREAM ATTACKS HIM ON THE RAMP! He ties Black up against the ropes and forces Black to look at him, he yells at Black to say his name but he refuses so Dream slaps him. Black manages to escape, he goes for the Black Mass but the Dream bails to the floor. I love this feud.

Andrade "Cien" Almas (w/Zelina Vega) vs. Roderick Strong
FUCK YEAH! SAN ANTONIO REMATCH! Good shit by 2 of the top 5 best wrestlers on NXT now. This gets 9 minutes so they skip all the feeling out and get rights to the shits. Same formula as the Gargano match tons of nasty strikes, big power moves and them both being on different paths since the match in January, so they have to come up with new counters for some of the old stuff. I love that the big moves continue to get bigger for near falls, Almas counters the Gibson Driver into the 'rana, he follows up with the double knees but only gets two. Roddy escapes the Hammerlock DDT, but ALMAS WINS THE FOREARM FIGHT! But Roddy comes right back with a high knee, he runs off a 6 move combo BUT VEGA 'RANA'S RODDY INTO THE STEPS KO'ING HIM WHICH ALLOWS Almas to hit the hammerlock DDT for the win. ***

After the match; Almas and Vega come up to the commentary booth, they challenge Drew to meet them face to face next week. Roddy is still in the ring when the UE comes down to the ring, Cole hands Roddy one of the armbands and they leave as Roddy thinks it over. Don't worry he's only 6 months slow.
