NXT Episode 168
October 21st, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Asuka vs. Billie Kay
Billie plays the default heel, she's decent she doesn't let Asuka breather or taunt but theirs only so much the green Aussie can do before Asuka kicks her chest in and locks in the Asuka Lock for the win.

Tonight: Rhyno/Corbin II

Live via his phone, Breeze says just because he won the Dusty classic doesn' mean that gives him the right to win the battle royal and become #1 contender. And if I'm not #1 contender, then you're not #1 contender and if he wants to do something come find me and "I'll cut a few pieces of bacon" off you.

Enzo Amore & Big Cass (w/Carmella) vs. Dash & Dawson
WE'RE HERE! This gets about 3 minutes and totally rules, my kids are pissed at Enzo embarrassing them last week to they immediately go after Enzo knee. It's super brutal and shit, Cass cheap shots Dawson forcing him to break the Indian deathlock, he knocks Cass off the apron but when he goes back to Enzo, Enzo small packages him for the win.

After the match; They attack Enzo and lay him out, Cass tries to make the save but the numbers are too much for him to overcome. And he gets laid out after a Shatter Machine.

Martin Stone AKA Dany Burch comes out for his match........................SOME AWESOME COUNTRY ROCK MUSIC HITS AND JAMES FUCKING STORM COMES DOWN TO THE RING!

GTqa2Tr.gif

Danny Burch vs. James Storm
So yeah, James is pretty washed by this point. Eight Second Ride ends it. The best part was the brown kids losing their shit.

Balor/Crews - NXT World Title in 2 weeks.

Video airs of a NEW Apollo video, cause the first one clearly made him a heel. This one is more personal, and a lot more sympathetic. Part II next week.

Alexa Bliss (w/Blake & Murphy) vs. Peyton Royce
Gonna be honest I have no idea what happened in this, cause dem asses :obama

Bliss congratulates Bayley and says she's done SO much with so little. She's a role model and inspiration, but that's about to stop. Because she's what everybody strives to be. And she was made to be champion.

Baron Corbin vs. Rhyno
I liked this a little more than the Unstoppable match, Corbin is more battle-tested now then he was so he takes the breather when he feels Rhyno in control and waits for the opening to shove Rhyno into the steps to take over. Corbin works Rhyno's previously broken neck with holds and shit, it goes on a bit long for my liking with no much really happening in between. Rhyno's comeback is pretty meh. He hits the Gore, but Corbs kicks out. He goes for a 2nd, but Corbin catches him coming in and counters into the end of days for the win. **

Backstage: Joe says desperation is a very funny thing, Breeze is the epitome of a desperate man. Once again he had his shot, and he one las took it, and he couldn't handle it. He then follows up with the audacity to call him out. Well, pull that selfie stick back out and look at it, cause next week you will never look the same again.

NXT Episode 169
October 28th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Tonight: Enzo/Cass vs. Dash/Dawson REMATCH & Joe/Breeze

Emma (w/Dana Brooke) vs. Shazza
Shazze is another Aussie thot, she's pretty much what Bliss was when she debuted the smiles, the short skirt. Really awesome Emma squash, everything is tight and looks brutal she ends up winning with the Emma lock.

WWE.com Exclusive, James Storm says to hear the fans say to him "He deserves to be here" means a lot, and if anyone doesn't like well, sorry about their damn luck.

Jason Jordan & Chad Gable vs. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa
HOLY SHIT! HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT THIS?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Phenomenal mat sequence between Gable and Ciampa to start, they do the test of strength spots that Bryan used to do, team Angle gets the better on the mat so team PWG takes over with speed and double-team combos. Both teams feel one another out, Gable is so good man he really doesn't get his credit. He starts feeling himself as usual and that allows team PWG to sneak and Gargano hits the slingshot through the ropes spear to give them the advantage. Team PWG use big strikes and fast double teams along with experience to maintain control, and it's great. Awesome Jordan hot tag his energy and facial expression when taking down the straps is the best, the match breaks down they go for Grand Amplitude. Gargano pulls Gable off the apron allowing his team to hit double teams but only for two, Jordan fight out of a double suplex and dispossess of Gargano, before tagging in Gable to hit Grand Amplitude for the win. Awesome stuff. Best Tag match of the year. ***1/4

Backstage: Devin interviews Bayley, she asks for a response to all of Bliss' comments. She says he doesn't know where Alexa Bliss is coming from and says she seems mad because she's a role model. She loves that kids look up to her and she's proud to inspire people as champion. She says Alexa's changed this year since she started hanging out with the boys, but she's stayed the same. She's stayed true to herself and she's NXT Women's Champion and she'll stay there.

Kay Lee Ray vs. Nia Jax
SQUASH! At least Nia has better attire this week all black instead of this weird blue genie with bronze scribbles.

Enzo, Cass, and Mella all come out for the match, WHEN DASH AND DAWSON ATTACK THEM ON THE RAMP! They throw Enzo off the ramp and throw Cass into the LED board on the apron before punching away at it. In the ring, Dawson locks in the Indian Deathlock and Dash comes off the middle rope with the big stomp breaking his leg. YES!!!!!

Backstage: Tom Phillips is with BBM, she says Regal loved her idea and challenges her to a 6 person match against her boys and her.

Part II of the "Who is the Crews" stuff airs, he talks about his Brooklyn debut on his birthday.

Samoa Joe vs. Tyler Breeze
Breeze does the standard heel thing, rile and piss off the big man then stall a bunch, he suckers Joe into the cat and mouse chase around the ring and attacking him as he gets back in. He gets too cocky and does the taunt on the ropes, but doesn't see Joe getting to his feet he lights him up with the corner rapid strikes and Breeze again goes to the floor and I guess he doesn't watch tape as he doesn't see the Joe dive to the floor. Breeze takes over with a dropkick, but his heat is pretty meh and Joe kinda phones this one in. He makes a comeback counters Breeze's Oklahoma roll into the choke for the win. **1/4

Backstage: Devin is with NXT champion Finn, she asks about his upcoming title match. He says he's excited as Crews is the real deal. He says he's waited 15 years to be champion, and one-day Crews will be champion it just won't be next week.

NXT Episode 170
November 4th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Tonight: Crews/Finn - NXT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

Asuka vs. Cameron
Pretty good showcase for Asuka and Cameron doesn't completely stink the joint up. Asuka lock ends it.

Recap of my kids breaking Cass's leg.

Backstage: Tom asks Carmella for a medical update on Cass, she says he only has a sprained MCL. Dash and Dawson come up and Scott asks if that's it. They've reserved hospital beds for those two Gs, and Dawson says you can't teach that. Carmella says they better watch their backs because they'll be sorry once her boys are back. Dawson says they're sorry they didn't do this sooner, and after they win the titles next week, they'll refer to them as the absolute best tag team on this planet. "Badaboom, Baddest guys in the room"

Earlier Today, Jason Jordan and Chad Gable cut a promo. JJ says he feels like they gained people's respect at Takeover, but they're still not where they need to be. They're still not champions. Gable says they're still going up, the way he's pointing. They have to focus on energy on becoming the best tag team in the world, and the rest takes care of itself. They're the World's, Greatest Tag..........Jason stops and says they talked about that, they can't be that. Jason says they should challenge the greatest tag team in NXT history, and Gable says they can't wrestle themselves. Jason says he wants The Ascension.

Bull Dempsey vs. Angelo Dawkins (w/Sawyer Fulton)
GOD DAMMIT! BULL IS STILL HERE AND HE'S GOT NEW MUSIC! Same ol' Bull routine, it's pretty bad.

In the locker room, Crews is preparing for his match when he stands up and sees the title in Finn's locker. Crews nods his head before leaving. What kind of champ just leaves his belt around, tripsgod would never.

Backstage: Tom is with Bayley, he asks if she's found any partners and income the HYPE BROS!

Liv Morgan vs. Eva Marie
Eva works the arm cause she's the 3rd best woman's wrestler in NXT now, Liv doesn't sell it and makes a comeback with dropkicks until Eva kicks her in the face and hits a weird running flatliner while Liv was on her knees.

Backstage: Tom asks Emma if she's scared of Asuka, she says no and she respects her but she doesn't like her smiling in her face like that. Dana calls Asuka childish for patting her on the head, and challenges her to a rematch ONE-DAY! Emma says she's gonna have to wait in line.

NXT World Championship: Apollo Crews vs. Finn Balor
They debut the blackout, with a giant spotlight in the ring for the introductions. It's pretty cool. Crews comes out using his strength and athleticism which throws Finn off who doesn't have an answer for it. He does find these little openings to get his shots in but they're short-lived as Crews has an answer for everything, so Finn has to resort to his big match experience and instincts to help him. This is also hurt by the two commercial breaks, 1 in the early going before Crews takes over and the 2nd mid-match once Balor hits a dive to the floor, so we miss most of his control period. They have a fun finishing 5 minutes, with both men throwing big strikes, Crews goes for the standing moonsault but Finn gets the knees up and hits 1916 for two. He hits his finishing sequence, but Crews avoids the CDG then both end up KO'ing one another with big boots and Corbin runs out and attacks both men for the DQ. **1/2

Corbin beats up both men until Joe makes the save. Finn gets back to his feet AND JOE LARIATS HIM! YEEEEEEEEEES!!!!! He beats him up and hits the Muscle Buster. Joe then walks around with the NXT championship before dropping it on Finn to end the show

NXT Episode 171
November 11th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Tye Dillinger/Baron Corbin is set to happen, but Crews attacks Corbin during his entrance. They have a solid pull apart before Corbin bails to the back.

Bayley & The Hype Bros vs. Alexa Bliss, Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy
The Birth of the "AYYYYY WE WANT SOME BAYLEY" chants happens which is the Best thing this crowd has ever contributed to this product. This is mostly about furthering the Bliss/Bayley stuff than it is about the teams. Pretty simple match, Bliss isn't on Bayley's level and finds out rather early on, so she tags about and it pretty much becomes a standard tag match between the men. Heels isolate Ryder and it's decent enough, MoJo's hot tag is prob the worse in the tag division. The match breaks down, Bayley knocks Bliss off the apron and she ends up stealing Bayley's title and leaving. Bayley then hits Murphy with a Hugplex and chases after Bliss allowing the Brows to hit Hype Ryder for the win. **

UGH The ASScension accepts the Jordan and Gables' challenge.

Backstage: Nia Jax' and Eva Marie TALK!

Backstage: Apollo says Corbin has his attention and tonight was just a glimpse, and when he gets his hands on Corbin he will break him.

Deonna vs. Nia Jax
SQUASH!

Next Week: Nia/Mella

Backstage: Bliss is taking pictures with Bayley's title, she drops it when she sees Bayley coming. Bayley picks it up but bumps into Nia in the hallway. But from behind, Bliss attacks her from behind and leaves. Nia picks up the title and looks at it before handing it back to Bayley and walking off.

NXT Tag Team Championships: Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder vs. The Vaudevillians
My kids make this work, Dash bumps around for VV early but Dawson shows his amazingness early as he uses an illegal tag to distract English allowing Dawson to go to the eyes and pull him down by the neck allowing Dash to tag out. Dawson also falls victim to English arm holds but he suckers English to the apron, and he gets distracted by Dash allowing Dawson to chopblock the knee. Usual awesome legwork, tons of boots, punches and pulling of the knee before slamming it to the mat and locking in holds. English's selling here is fantastic, but he would have to be a real piece of shit to not sell 5 minutes of violent knee work. Dash goes for the knee wrap around the ringpost, but English pulls him into the post himself and hobbles over to tag Gotch in. Gotch cleans house but foolishly tags English back in, so my kids pick off Gotch and take him out on the floor before doing the Deathlock/Stomp combo breaking the leg, Dawson then locks in a reverse figure four and English taps. WE GO HARD ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT! ***

Backstage: Dawson says for 12 years they said they were gonna do it and they did it since day 1 this is what they fought for. Dash says and we didn't have to change a thing, we're still plain, simple and direct.

Next Week: Jordan/Gable vs. Ascension & Bliss/Bayley - Woman's title

Samoa Joe comes out for the "WHY? JOE WHY?" segment, he says as he sat in the back and people kept asking him why? We are defined by the choices that they make and the actions put behind them. The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic was announced and Finn asked him to be his partner, and he made a choice and put action behind it when he threw Finn on his back and carried him through the best NXT had to offer and they won it all. And he looked at him amidst celebration and asked him to make the right choice to give him an NXT Title shot. Much to Finn's credit, he made the right choice, but he put NO action behind it. He let Regal walk in, in front of him and put him in a battle royal for a shot that Finn already gave him. Him in a battle royal is insulting BECAUSE HE'S SAMOA JOE, AND THE SECOND HE STEPPED FOOT IN NXT, HE WAS OWED AND HE IS ENTITLED TO AN NXT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH! Finn comes out but refs all come out and get between them, Finn says he used to trust him and he's gonna kick his ass. Joe says GOOD CHOICES!!! He shoves a ref into Finn, and sucker punches him and chokes him out.

NXT Episode 172
November 18th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Carmella vs. Nia Jax
Mella does her best to survive and throw shitty forearms before Nia takes over, she works the bearhug before hitting the Leg drop brother-brother for the win.

Backstage: BBM are standing by, Bliss says her hands feel just fine from carrying that title and slapping Bayley around, but it's her ears that hurt. If she has to hear about the Iron Man match one more time, she'll be really blissed off. Bayley earned her respect. Good for her. She wants the title, not respect because it's what she deserves. She's not happy to be here, she's beautiful, strong, and takes what she wants. Times are changing, the other Four Horsewomen left Bayley here where she belongs. A referee comes over and says per Regal, Blake & Murphy are banned from ringside.

The Ascension vs. Jason Jordan & Chad Gable
I still don't get the love for the Ascension but they again get a monster pop, it's Bayley/2014 Sami level. It makes no sense to me. Team JJCG now has proper matching attire and not those hideous grey, silver, red ones. Conor uses his fatness to stop Gable and Jordan from being able to take him down and embarrass him on the mat so they fall into their trap of brawling and it backfires. And I finally get it, the "cha" that Conner yells after every strike is what is over not them, it's the same thing that got Curtis Axel over. Damn these fans are so simple and stupid. They isolate the smaller Gable and it's good, Ascension has improved so much since their awful run they now have proper double teams and better looking big man punches. Gable uses his speed to avoid some stuff and gets the Jordan hot tag, and it still rules. The match breaks down, and they're able to drop Viktor with the Grand Amplitude for the win. **3/4

Bayley/Bliss video package airs.

Backstage: Tom Phillips is with Bayley, she asks about Bliss' comments. She says becoming champion wasn't an easy road and keeping it is just as hard. But if Alexa Bliss thinks it's easy just to steal it from her, she has another thing coming. She'll get the wrestling lesson of her life tonight.

Mary Kate vs. Emma
Emma showcase, it's not as brutal as the match against Shazza but this is fine. Emma lock ends it.

WWE.com Exclusive, Baron Corbin says he'd like to say costing Crews the title wasn't personal, but it was. He just doesn't like him. And odds are, he would have lost that match anyway, because he's destined to be a failure. If he wants to go, he's challenging him to face him at Takeover London. Dreams aren't for the real world, and he'll wake up in the same pathetic reality he lives in every day.

VV/My Kids - Rematch next week.

Corey Hollis & John Skyler vs. Dash & Dawson
Fantasic showcase for the champs, knee work brutal af as usual. Dawson also piefaces the shit out of one of them, it's almost as disrespectful as the one Corbin gave Bull in mid-sentence. Rich dubs my kids style as the "NO FLIPS, JUST FIST" style so Rich is good in my books forever. Ahahahahahahahahahahaha Skyler gets the hot tag but as soon as he enters the ring he runs into Shatter Machine and Dawson covers for the win. Brilliant. **1/2

Backstage: Tom is with Asuka and asks about her masks, but Dana comes over and says she earned her respect. , but something's bothering her, like when he went at patted her on HER head. It's time she proves naysayers wrong and she's challenging her to a rematch. Asuka says yes and leaves. Emma comes over and asks if she bought it and Dana says yes.

Finn/Joe at TakeOver: London is announces

Earlier Today, Joe says he's not in the NXT arena because Regal said he doesn't want him here this week as he fears Finn will try and get some revenge. Joe says he knows the truth he's not there for Finn's safety but he will be in 7 days to sign the contract. Then he'll take what's rightfully his, the NXT World championship.

NXT Woman's Championship: Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley
Bliss can't hang with big match Bayley, so whenever Bliss seems like she's in control she really isn't. Bayley has an answer for pretty much everything but Bayley leaves herself open when entering the ring and Bliss snaps her arm over the ropes e.g Sasha at Brooklyn, e.g Bayley doing the same to Sasha for revenge at TakeOver, it's also the same hand Bayley broke back in July/August. Bliss' arm work is super basic and house showey, Bayley's selling is good she sells way more here than I thought with the meh work done. Bliss has a could of nice stiff forearms and slaps before Bayley makes a comeback. Bayley to Belly out of nowhere ends it. **

EVA MARIE COMES OUT! And they BOOOOOOOO the shit out of here, it's great. She says she had to come out here and let everyone know that the inevitable is happening. She says to be quiet, dorks. Eva says she has Bayley for the title next week.

"AAYYYYYYYYYY WE WANT SOME BAYLEY" to end the show.

NXT Episode 173
November 25th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Michael Cole is in the ring subbing for GM Regal who just had neck surgery, he says Regal didn't want to book it but the real higher-ups overruled him so TONIGHT, IT WILL BE BAYLEY VS. EVA MARIE FOR THE NXT WOMAN'S CHAMPIONSHIP! He says but for right now he's here to moderate the contract signing between Finn and Joe, Finn comes out first and says Samoa Joe taught him that friends in this business are few and far between, but he's not entitled to this title or anything in NXT, and he'll stick his foot down his throat. Joe then comes out, he doesn't even look Finn in the eyes as he signs the contract and leaves immediately :mark: Finn is mad, but he then signs too. He leaves AND JOE ATTACKS FINN ON THE STAGE! FUCK YEAH! They brawl back to the ring, and Finn gets the better as refs all come out and hold Finn back in the ring. Which allows Joe to sneak back in and CHOKE FINN OUT! I love this feud.

NXT Tag Team Championships: The Vaudevillians vs. Dash & Dawson
This is more of a match than the title switch, but also a lot shorter. Gotch starts the match which is rare as it's usually English that starts the knee, so I guess his knee isn't fully healed yet. My kids bust out their best old school Arn/Tully bumping making VV look good until Dawson catches English with an arm breaker giving them control. Sadly most of the work gets cut due to the break, but I'm guessing it's great for obvious reasons. Gotch has a nice hot tag and does his manly thing until Dawson sneaks in a lariat, Shatter Machine gets blocked into a roll-up for two, VV go for their finisher but Dash cuts it off but English rolls up Dawson for another two. Dash then blind tags in and they hit Shatter Machine for the win. **1/2

AFTER THE MATCH, ENZO AND CASS MAKE THEIR RETURN. ALL 4 BRAWL IN THE RING UNTIL Dash and Dawson retreat to the back. TAG WRESTLING HERE!!!!!

Backstage: Eva is with Tom in GM Regal's office, he asks why they are here. Eva says as Regal os off recovering she needed a bigger place to get ready for her match "Miss you Mr. Regal" Tom then asks what makes this match inevitable? Eva says to get real. She's the hottest, literally, prospect in a long time. Bayley is a great champion and a swell girl, but it's time for a real woman to become champion. And she has the amazing support of the WWE Universe. Thank you, Total Divas. What's better than that is friendship AND SHE BRINGS ON HER NEW GOOD FRIEND NIA JAX.

IT'S HAPPENING!!!! :mark:

Asuka and Dana both come out for their match, when Dana grabs a mic. She says she hopes Asuka has the smiling out of her system because, in two seconds, she'll smack that smile off her face. Emma attacks her from behind, but Asuka fights back but Dana distracts her so Emma can put on the Emma Lock. Dana shouts that they break their toys.

Backstage: Tom is with Bayley, she brings up Eva stacking the odds now. Bayley says she knows that to some people, Eva Marie is the perfect champion. She's pretty, she's the star of a reality show, and she's totally got WWE Corporate on her side. But the one difference is that she's a wrestler and Eva isn't. She's underestimating her and she'll prove once again why she's NXT Women's Champion.

Apollo Crews vs. Jesse Sorensen
SQUASH! Crews then accepts Corbin's challenge to a match at TakeOver London.

NEXT WEEK: JOE VS. CIAMPA

WWE Senior official Charles Robinson comes out to help officiate the main event, to ensure no fuckery from the floor. They should have brought back Earl Hebner or GOAT Nick Patrick imo. But Baby Flair works too if they're gonna play into The Authority's pocket stuff with Eva.

NXT Woman's Championship Match: Eva Marie (w/Nia Jax) vs. Bayley
If Sasha/Bayley was the peak of the woman's division in terms of wrestling, this is the peak of good vs. evil, crowd favorite vs. industry plant in this review. This only gets like 7 minutes but its arguably the hottest 7 minutes in NXT history, Bayley outwrestles and outclasses Eva on the mat with Eva having to take cheap shots to take over. But she gets too cocky and Bayley hits a flash Bayley to belly, but Nia pulls the first ref out................THAT DISTRACTION ALLOWS EVA RO ROLL BAYLEY UP AND CHARLES COUNTS TO TWO. Charles then turns his attention to the hurt ref on the floor allowing Nia to attack Bayley in the ring, Eva follows up with a backsplash for another awesome near fall. Eva does good enough job during her control until Bayley fights back, BUT ROBINSON STOPS HER FROM RUNNING INTO THE CORNER. That allows Eva to hit Sliced Bread #2 for two. That would have been a perfect spot to do the foot on the ropes stuff, but oh well. Eva argues with Charles about the count so Bayley shoves Eva into him knocking him out. Nia then gets involved, by pulling her to the floor but Bayley recovers and pulls her off the apron. She then hits a super Bayley to Belly off the top and the original ref counts the three. BIG MATCH BAYLEY STRIKES AGAIN! She really is the face of NXT now. LOLFinn. Awesome job by everyone involved in this.. ***

After the match; Nia attacks Bayley from behind and drops the big leg, brother.

NXT Episode 174
December 2nd, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Baron Corbin vs. Tye Dillinger
Pretty dope Corbin extended squash, he hits all his stuff and Tye has a small flurry of offense before getting caught in a Catatonic reversed into the end of dayz for the win.

Backstage: Some new guy interviews Crews, the new guy announces Crews/Finn vs. Joe/Corbin for next week and asks if he's concerned with Finn's health following the contract signing from last week. Crews says he is, but not with Finn it's about if he can control himself without ripping apart Corbin and leaving nothing for TakeOver.

Backstage: Another new fucking guy interviews Ciampa, he asks about his thoughts on Joe's new attitude. Ciampa says he's known Joe for many years and he's always been a loner and a dangerous man. But something's changed in his eyes, attacking Finn Balor. If there's one thing more dangerous, it's a man with nothing to lose. He has no title shot in two weeks and he knows nobody thinks he can beat Samoa Joe, but he does. He believes it. And when he does, everything changes.

Nia Jax vs. Blue Pants
SQUASH!

Earlier Today, Tom sat down with the NXT tag team champions. Tom asks them about their tactics and the consequences. Dash says these titles are the consequences. Tom brings up Enzo and Cass and Dawson says they cheap-shotted them after a successful title defense. They have no respect for the catchphrase kings, Dash says they do nothing but talk the talk. They've done nothing to make them respect them. Tom announces them vs. Enzo/Cass at London, and Dash asks why. They haven't beaten them or won a contender's match since they won these titles. Dawson says if they want a shot, they've got it, but they have a message for Enzo and Cass. Big Cass has another knee and that flight's gonna be a long one in coach when he's got another broken leg, and his carry on, Enzo Amore, is stuck in the overhead bin. Dash says they're walking out champions, and those boys will be lucky to walk out at all.

The amazing 8bit TLC commercial airs :mark:

Adam Rose vs. James Storm
This happens it's not good, Strom ends up winning after the last call superkick.

Clips air of Sami's winning the NXT title @ TakeOver: R-Evolution.

The Vaudevillians vs. Jason Jordan & Chad Gable
This smurf Gable is so smooth man, the way he picked poor Gotch apart on the mat and his transitions between holds on the mat WOW! This is one of those "it should be competitive, but it's really not" VV do get a fair bit of offense but it plays out like Jordan and Gable have passed them by, the whole division felt like that. Like it's been dominated by Ascension, LDragons, B&M, and VV for so long, that they all got fat and lazy and are now being exposed by GREATS the likes of Alpha and the Revival" VV work heel cause they're gimmick can only get far and now with this new hot team here they're the ones getting the cheers. But it exposes VV as just average guys especially on their heat, super basic and blah. JJ again has his awesome hot tag and they hit Grand Amplitude for the win. **1/4

After the match, Jordan and Gable offer the hand but VV walk-off cause they know they can't hang.

Backstage: New guy #1 is with Dana and Emma, he asks about last weeks attack. Dana says last week was their little wake-up call to Ms. Asuka. They're not scared, Asuka was wrong, and they won't run away either. Emma says Asuka messed with the wrong girls and last week was a warning. Next time she gets her hands on Asuka, you don't even want to know. She tells Dana to stay back here and cool off she's got a match to prepare for.

Emma vs. Liv Morgan
Liv is super green and is not good at all, she does the super ratchet Mella knockoff gimmick. But, Emma has gotten so much better in these short squash matches. Super mean in her beating, everything looks like it hurts sad how it all ends in a few months. Emma locks ends it. *3/4

As Emma is celebrating a video on the tron appears of Asuka kicking a punching bag, she says "SEE...YOU..IN...LONDON"

Backstage: New guy #1 is with Bayley, he brings up all her title victory recently and talks about Nia's attack. She says Nia Jax made her intentions clear, and everybody knows what she's gone through to get this championship. She's willing to accept any challenge head on. Nia comes over and stares her down before walking off. She then comes back on AND THROWS BAYLEY THROUGH A DOOR!

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Samoa Joe
This is way better than I remembered it being, I'm always gonna say this Joe is no longer Joe, but he can occasionally turn back the clock and give a performance of Joe of the past. He did it in the Corbin match and he does it here, all his strikes look and sound nasty and to Ciampa's credit, his strikes are on par. Joe busts out the holds early trying to break down Ciampa but Ciampa is a fighter so they begin stiffing the fuck out of one another with chops, slaps and forearms it's super violent. He then works Joe's arms but JOE FUCKING KICKS HIS HEAD IN HOLY SHIT! He seems to be out and weakened enough for Joe to run through all his stuff before hitting the Muscle Buster and choking him out for the win. ***

NXT Woman's Champion: Bayley

NXT Episode 175
December 9th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady (w/Carmella) vs. Corey Hollis & John Skyler
The real G's come out super serious, no catchphrases and fun one-liners, Cass destroys these jobbers before tagging in Enzo for the rocket launcher for the win.

After the match; Enzo grabs a mic and says that's how they put food on the table. Dawson and Dash, he'll be damned if they interfere with him feeding his family. Big Cass is his day one A-1. They've been doing this longer than any team in NXT history. This is his family, and they take out his tag team partner and jeopardize his future, they jeopardize his future too. The only people that determine their future are the people in this ring. Let him be clear, they can walk it like they talk it, blindfolded. They know who they are and where they're going. Cass says they tried to take him out and take away everything they've been working for. They've fought too hard for too long to let them get in the way of what they want. At NXT TakeOver London, they WILL! get retribution. They WILL! leave them laying. And they WILL! walk out the NXT Tag Team Champions.

Backstage: Tom is with Emma and Dana, Dana says she's calmed down from last week and Asuka won't. Emma asks why Asuka's had the red carpet since day one because they've never had that. This revolution everyone's talking about couldn't have started without the Emmalution. She paved the way before anyone had heard of Bayley, Sasha, Charlotte, or Asuka. At Takeover, the Emmalution is the solution. Dana says just because they can, they might take a closer look at Asuka's match because they're in control.

Asuka vs. Deonna Purrazzo
Asuka toys with her early, but once Emma and Dana come out to watch, Asuka kills her with a high kick and the ref stops it. Asuka wins via death.

Backstage: The Hype bros say stuff
Backstage: BBM debut their Halloween nightmare on elm street attire, Bliss runs them down for being losers to motivate them.

The Hype Bros vs. Blake & Murphy (w/Alexa Bliss)
This gets time and is really bad, it's pretty much the exact same match as the 6 person just without super over Bayley to save it. Zyder gets isolated and it's super boring and dull and drags a bunch, MoJo really shouldn't be the hot tag, but he really isn't good enough to be the guy isolated during a match. The bros end up winning after the Hype Ryder connects on Blake. *1/2

Backstage: Corbin and Joe are talking, Joe says they not gonna pretend they like each other or get along, but tonight isn't about them it's about Finn and Crews. Corbin says Crews is a nobody rookie and deserves nothing here in NXT. Joe says Finn betrayed their friendship when he couldn't even give him the 1 thing he asked for. Corbin says they're gonna put a beating on them so bad, they will be lucky to make it to London.

Bayley vs. Peyton Royce
Peyton is looking and acting a lot more heelish here, her 12 head is on full show. She should never slick her hair all the way back it looks god awful. This is a pretty solid the "guy" vs. young up incoming talent looking for her breakout moment. This isn't the moment but it's her best showing to date even though it's essentially a Bayley showcase. Peyton has some nice knees and uses her legs as weapons, thigh meat looking ripe. Bayley makes a comeback and hits the Bayley-to-belly out of nowhere for the win. **1/4

After the match; Nia Jax and Eva Marie come out onto the stage. Eva says somehow Bayley escaped with the title two weeks ago. Nia takes the mic and says she doesn't need her to talk for her and says Bayley's been lucky that she didn't get here sooner, because if she did she would have never been champion if she did. She's been destined for greatness since day one and Bayley is looking at the next Woman's Champion.

Backstage: Crews goes up to Finn and asks if he's alright and if his mind is right, as he hasn't returned his calls. Finn says not to worry about his mind, all they have to do is give Joe and Corbin a little taste of what to come. Crews says that fine, he then picks up the title and says once they get done taking care of business in London they have some unfinished business and puts the title on Finn's shoulder before leaving.

clips air of Sami/Cena from RAW, the night Sami hurt himself lifting his arms in the air :mjcry

Apollo Crews & Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin & Samoa Joe
This gets around 8 minutes show, it's alright real safe and house showy. Heels play mind games early where they both avoid their rivals and try to soften the others. Crews ends up getting isolated and it's fine, Finn has a good hot tag, he and Joe have a fun exchange at the end. Crews and Corbin end up fighting on the floor, but Corbin in his last ditch of effort he shoves Finn off the top and Joe hits Finn with a DVD and he puts on The Choke and Finn passes out. Welp. **

NXT TakeOver: London
December 16th, 2015
The SSE Arena: London, England

The show opens with tripsgod doing his little babyface "WE ARE NXT" promo

Asuka vs. Emma (w/Dana Brooke)
They have a really good counter wrestling exchange to start, Emma wants no part of it and keeps trying to brawl but Auska doesn't allow it and keeps targetting the arm. A Dana distraction allows Emma to cheap shot her on the floor and to take over, Emma busts out her new found awesome squash match mean streak and now she gets her own back by going after her arms. Emma gets stiff with kicks to the back and a couple of solid straight punches to the back of the head. Asuka has some cool mini-comebacks, but Emma has an answer and gets a little meaner in her control. Asuka's speed keeps being the thing to turn the tide and once she's back up and moving, Emma can't hang with her striking during the comeback. Some real good near-falls towards the end with Emma getting desperate with the roll-ups, she also hits this awesome butterfly suplex into the corner setting up the Emmasplash for two. She tries the Emma lock but Asuka counters into an ankle lock, but Emma makes it to her feet and she hits a German followed by a head kick for two. Emma backs herself and Asuka into the ref as Asuka tries the Asuka lock, knocking him out. Dana then throws a belt in but the ref recovers before she can use it, Emma paints like she wants the match DQ'ed but then rolls her up for two. Asuka then rolls it back into the Asuka lock, but Dana distracts the ref so he doesn't see the tap. So Asuka breaks the hold and finishes her off with the Death via head kick shot for the win. ***

Johnny Saint is in the crowd.

Enzo, Cass, and Mella come out and do their bit. Enzo says Dawson and Dash can be assured that there will be pieces of them left in this ring when this match is over. They got a fight, but the difference between them is if they had £1 for every time they got knocked down and didn't get back up HE'D HAVE ZERO POUNDS. Cass promises them that they will not walk out the same way they walked in, and they will walk out the NXT Tag Team Champions and prove to everybody here and around the world that there's only one word to describe them. S.A.W.F.T!

NXT World Tag Team Championships: Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady (w/Carmella) vs. Dash & Dawson
This is the first match that made me take notice of my kids, they still not my kids it was Jordan/Gable, Enzo/Cass and then them. But in due time that would all change. The crowd is super hot with the Enzo chants then they ruin it with the "Which one's Dash?, Which is Dawson" see that's why I don't claim this piece of shit Country. That being said, the "BIG CASS" chant to the tune of Hey Jude was fucking great. Champs use their standard formula of trying to isolate Enzo early but he uses his speed to stay out of their reach and get Cass in to inflict punishment. They both bump around like crazy, mostly Dash as he's the one they target but they weather the storm before he does the "Enzo bump to the ropes" you know the one, the one that KO'ed him in their debut main roster match. Anyway, he takes the bump on the arm and now the champs go to work, it's not on the level with their legwork but it's really good and Enzo is a super good seller, he doesn't get enough credit. Cass has a fun hot tag but they take out his knee again FUCK YEAH! Dash then locks in the reverse Figure-Four, Enzo tries to make the save but Dawson murders him with an inside-out Lariat. Cass also makes the ropes to break the hold. They go for the Death Lock/Stomp ending but Enzo shoves Dawson off the top. THEY THEN HIT THE ROCKET LAUNCHER BUT DAWSON PULLS THE REF OUT! He then hides behind Mella and suckers Cass in before shoving him into the ring post, back in they hit a Supper Shatter Machine off the top on Enzo for the win. AWESOME MATCH! And I think they top it at the RoadBlock PPV. ***1/4

Baron Corbin vs. Apollo Crews
Yo, Corbin's old theme goes so hard man. This is kinda weird all Corbin really has is the height advantage and maybe the "killer right hand" but outside of that, Crews has him in every other category. Their styles also don't really mesh well, Corbin slams Crew's head off the steps to give him control, Bas Corbs busts out his B1 trash talking "yelling out, Crews should have stayed in ROH" and to my knowledge I don't think Crews was ever in ROH :lmao Crews still seems like a heel to me and those videos about him crying about his mom spending the money she doesn't have title belts for him doesn't change it, so the crowd spends the whole match shitting on Corbin rather than cheering or feeling sympathy for Crews. Crews makes a comeback and uses his speed and athletism, but Corbin hits the end of dayz out of nowhere and covers for the win. Corbin is also the first man to pin Crews in NXT, not that it means anything. *3/4

SAMI ZAYN RETURNS NEXT WEEK AKA TONIGHT ON THE LONDON DARK MATCHES!

Earlier Today: Greg asks Nia what her strategy for tonight's match is, it's SIMPLE! BUT PAUSES WHEN SHE SEES Asuka looking at her. Nia walks over but Asuka walks off, Nia then says she will do what she always does. Destroy whatever is in her path.

NXT Woman's Championship: Nia Jax vs. Bayley
The crowd is back to being super hot with the singing chants, Bayley goes on the offensive early but it doesn't last before Nia takes over with her generic big person offense and Bayley bumps well for all of it, she really goes above and beyond to make all the ragdoll holds and slam look vicious. Bayley goes to the legs to break Nia down, before going for flying elbows off the middle rope but it doesn't work before Nia takes over. So, Bayley resorts to holds to break her down. She tries a dragon sleeper, triangle choke but nothing works. And Nia has all of Bayley's stuff scouted as she's been here for 2 years now, but Bayley can't do the same it's kinda like the Joe/Corbin match from Brooklyn. Nia hits a Samoan drop, and the Legdrop but makes her first mistake of the match and gets cocky by only putting the boot on the chest which allows Bayley to be the first to kick out. Nia now goes to the arm, and hits three running legdrops and makes her 2nd mistake of the match by only putting her arms on the shoulders during the count instead of fully covering her and again Bayley kicks out. Nia continues to destroy Bayley for another minute, but OUT OF DESPERATION SHE LOCKS IN A FRONT GUILLOTINE SHADES OF BENOIT IN THE 2004 RUMBLE! But Nia powers out. Bayley then locks it in again but again Nia powers out, she takes too long to follow up which allows Bayley to lock it in for a 3rd time. SHE FINALLY GETS NIA DOWN TO THE MAT ON HER BACK, BEFORE IN A SEATED POSITION AND PUTS ALL OF HER ENERGY INTO IT AND PULLS IT BACK FORCING NIA TO TAP. ***

This is arguably Bayley's best performance to date, the Sasha matches are classics but that's because they have history and Sasha is great. The Eva match was like lightning in a bottle, and it's when everything just magically falls into place plus it wasn't that long. This has Bayley (the face of NXT now) carry someone who is fairly green and just done a bunch of squash matches for a month for 13 minutes. This is why she's the ace and face of NXT now.

Video Package for the main event airs.

Finn is Jack the Ripper Demon tonight.

NXT World Championship: Samoa Joe vs. "The Demon" Finn Bálor
FUCK THEM BOTH FOR WEARING RED AND BLACK, but I put most of that on Joe. He knows Finn is primary red/black when in Demon mode, he could have at least rocked the yellow or green joins smh. Finn comes out hot and jumps Joe, but commentary plays it off more of Finn in Demon mode than Finn being pissed Joe has choked him out 3 or 4 weeks in a row and now he can get his hands on Joe without the sneak attacks. Finn goes for the CDG on the steps to the floor, but Joe rolls out of the way and catches Finn coming in with his STO to the floor to get his first bit of offense in. This is also one of Joe's turn back the clock performances, but he turns it to 2008 so he's not fully amazing like in the Ciampa match, but his striking and bully offense and combo moves are all A-1. Finn doesn't really sell much, and I know he can but Joe doesn't really target anything long enough to really warrant selling apart from trying to punch Finn's head off for 10 minutes. Joe busting out the powerbomb, to the Boston crab to crossface brought back some good memories. Finn counters the short arm clothesline into a DDT to spark a comeback, Finn hits all of his stuff and the double stomp to the back but only gets two, what's the difference between the double stomp and Coup de Grace? Like why didn't the announces make a bigger deal out of it, anyway they have some good reverses and near falls towards the end, Finn has the choke scouted and uses Joe's own momentum as he tries to drop to the mat and rolls out and hits a jumping double stomp, Finn recovers and hits his finishing sequence followed, but Joe is up and tries a super Muscle-buster but Finn shoves him off and hits the Coup de Grace for the win. ***

After the match; Joe gets helped to the back, Finn also collapses in the corner and doctors come in and check on him during celebrations.

Really solid show, nothing really stands out as amazing or MOTY but just a fun 2 hours of time minus the shitty Crews/Corbin match. Take that out this might be the show of the year.

NXT Episode 176
December 23rd, 2015
The SSE Arena: London, England

The Vaudevillians vs. The Hype Bros vs. Blake & Murphy (w/Alexa Bliss) vs. Jason Jordan & Chad Gable
At least they got the match booked correctly with it being a 4 way, Alpha are super over and it rules, and to no shocker, this match is pretty much built around them. We get another awesome Gable schooling Gotch on the mat, he does the 2006 Bryan counters out of hammerlocks and it fucking rules. The crowd pretty much boooo's whenever Jordan or Gable isn't in, which is great. They also debut the "Gable, Gable, Gable, GABLE! Jordan, Jordan, Jordan, JORDAN!" chants. Bliss distracts the ref allowing Murphy to kick Gable in the face as he's doing the upside-down armbar to Blake, all the teams have a brief heat segment on Gable to fill time until the AWESOME Jordan hot tag, the match breaks down with everyone getting their stuff in until Alpha hit Grand Amplitude on Blake for the win. **3/4

Recap of Asuka/Emma, we then cut to Emma and Dana in the trainer's room. Emma is being looked at as Dana is ranting, she wishes Asuka was here and Asuka shows up. Dana is scared to look at her so, she does the old Emma taunt. Asuka leaves and Dana says it's time for them to get serious. Playtime is ova.

Backstage: Tye is looking in the mirror, he says everyone wants to know what it's like to be a perfect 10 and tonight Sami will find out why everyday Dillinger is a 10.

WWE Exclusive, Corbin says he told you nobody gets up from the End of dayz, and Crews put up a hell of a fight. But he's now declaring himself #1 Contender. Watch ya back.

Bull Dempsey vs. Elias Samson
Bull is down to 299 and 1/4 lbs, Elias has the early groundwork for his gimmick down but Sadly his wrestling is bad and this is not a good "re-debut" match. Plus Bull is bad. Bad flying elbow wins for Drifter.

WWE Exclusive, Dash says Enzo and Cass put up one hell of a fight, Dawson says but it wasn't their night and they proved why they are the very best tag team alive. CHEERS THE TITLES!

Tye Dillinger vs. SAMI ZAYN
Oh how his missed his music, the weird dancing and ginger faced beard :mark: NXT just gained their "GUY" back, he may have been surpassed by Bayley as the face of NXT, but he's still the face of the men not that Demon loser corporate champion. Booked so well and it's a total Sami match, he should run through Tye and end it in under 3 put instead he plays up the ring rust and Tye goes to the arm early to see how healthy the arm is. Tye gets a shit load of offense in, to the point it's like Sami is washed and this bum has passed him by too. But as the match furthers Sami gets his groove back and runs through his big comeback stuff before hitting the Helluva Kick for the win. **1/2

After the match; Sami gets on the mic and says he's been waiting to say this for seven months, and that's "HE'S BACK" He says there seems to be a trend happening when he's accomplished his dreams, be it winning the NXT Title or going to Raw, it's turned into a nightmare, but TONIGHT the trend is broken. He says impressive that 10,000 people sold out the Wemberly Arena and more and more great things like this will happen with NXT in 2016. One Love Me-Bretherin ~ Sami

This is also the last show of the year, as next weeks show is a best of and with NXT being washed they are no longer doing the 1-off big match, so it's just a full hour of clips. UGH!

giphy.gif

1. BAYLEY

Overall: A real up and down year, but miles better than 2014. The woman showed out and pretty much carried NXT for the first few months outside Big Kev's antics, all of them that had a major role from the 4 Horsewoman, to Emma/Dana, to Bliss going from adorable baby to bitchy heel, hell even Blue Pants had a role. The tag division was pretty meh and it was super gimmick heavy until THE GOAT TEAMS FORMED and showed that ain't gonna cut it anymore and moving forward, it's in a much better place with My kids, Alpha, and DIY for 2016. Now time for the "main title" this took a big dip, of course, the injury to Sami hurt this more than anything, but I'm not sure he would have been in NXT for the rest of the year as pretty much all the 2 cornerstones Neville, and Owens got called up. Hideo's injury hurt too on the low. Finn is a decent champ, but he never feels like the guy. NXT also lacked that big heel once Kev left in August, and tbf he was really the only the heel well outside Corbin. Thankfully, they turned Joe heel.

Not even reading these anymore.

Motherfuckers can't even be arsed to pick up the slack in my absence. :ortonout
