NXT Episode 160
August 19th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

GM Regal comes down to the ring and introduces Sasha and Bayley for a contract signing. Bayley thanks the fans because if not for them, she wouldn't even be here. This is the biggest match of her life. She's been in this position before and had this title match and every time, she's let it slip right through her fingers. But NOT this time, she can feel it. This time is different, and she thinks all of the people can feel it. And she thinks Sasha Banks feels it too. She signs the contract. Sasha says this is such a big moment for Bayley. The fans LOVE her, there's a reason why NXT's at Brooklyn and not here because it's the biggest show in NXT history and the best part of that is that Bayley gets to be in the ring with HER. "SASHA'S RATCHET" chant breaks out and Sasha says no she's not, she's the NXT Woman's champion and she's the baddest diva in the WWE. It's not that Bayleywaley isn't good, but she's just not her. Everybody knows that. Sasha then says at TakeOver she's gonna cement her name in history as the greatest woman's champion ever, NXT or WWE she'll find out why she's the BOSS! She stamps the contract. Bayley says she saw what Sasha does in these, and she'll fight her now. Sasha says it's not that she's scared. Becky and Charlotte were threats, BAYLEY'S NOT. There's a reason they're on Raw and Smackdown, and Bayley's not. Because she's a loser, she's pathetic, and she thinks she's some role model. There's one dressed just like her, but she's a real role model. She'll teach all these little girls that there are no happy endings. She's facing the best, the NXT Women's Champion and she doesn't have time to fight tonight, because she's just not worth it. Sasha leaves, and Bayley has this AMAZING hurt facial expression. BUT INSTEAD BAYLEY ATTACKS HER ON THE RAMP! FUCK YEAH! They have this awesome fight on the ramp until refs pull Bayley off and Sasha looks scared clutching her title. AWESOME!

Tyler comes out holding a Jushin Liger mask.

Rob Ryzin vs. Tyler Breeze
SQUASH!

After the match; Breeze puts the Liger mask on the jobber, he sits him up and says it's great to meet Jushin Thunder Liger. He's heard good things, but he's not impressed. But he's looking forward to facing him this Saturday, and he wants to give them a preview. Breeze drops him with the beauty shot and counts to 3.

Enzo Amore, Collin Casady & The Hype Bros (w/Carmella) vs. Jobber 1, Jobber 2, Jobber 3 & MEXICAN RADITZ :mark:
During this 1 of the commentators announces Enzo/Cass/Bros vs. Dash/Dawson/Jordan/Gable on a Brooklyn Pre-show/post show. Which WOW! How did I not remember that Dream team of AA/Revival, also AA are heel? AND WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T TRIPS HAVE THAT TEAM DO THE SHOWCASE MATCH HERE INSTEAD OF THESE 4 FUCKS UGH! NXT STAYS TAKING L's. Anyway, while this was going on, cause we all know the outcome and I found Mexican Raditz's wiki page his finishing move is a 450 which he calls the Spirit Bomb and a Liftingsingle underhook DDT that he calls the Final Flash BRUH! :lmaoThe guys with names win.

Backstage: My kids along with my nephews are watching this nonsense on TV when Devin comes over and asks if they're impressed by what they just saw. Dawson laughs and asks why they'd be impressed by them beating four jamokes off the street. Gable says that's a nice word. Dash says they only impressive thing about the Hype Bros is them standing after they broke them with the Shatter Machine. Jordan says their streak is impressive. Gable says Enzo and Cass won't have the homecoming they want when they light them up. So sick. Because they're ready, willing, and Jordan gets them all to say GABLE :mark:

I NEED A TO COME UP WITH A TEAM NAME ASAP!

Steve Cutler vs. Samoa Joe
JOE KILLS HIM!

After the match; As Joe walks up the ramp, Corbin jumps him from behind. They fight back into the ring and Corbin drops Joe with the end of dayz. I love this 2 weeks feud. It's what the Bull feud was supposed to be, but you know Bull is fucking awful.

Speaking of Bull, for some reason he's making his return next week. How much weight could he have lost in 3 months?

Angelo Dawkins & Sawyer Fulton vs. Blake & Murphy (w/Alexa Bliss)
Standard showcase for the champs, I'm glad this is coming to an end.

After the match; VV come out on to the stage, the begin talking but Bliss is sick of this nonsense so she slaps them both. They try to talk again and she again slaps them both. They just stand their like losers as B&M mock them.

Kevin Owens comes out with a ladder and sets it up in the ring. He says on Saturday night, it's the biggest Takeover special yet, from Brooklyn, New York. (crowd boo's and even does a BROOKLYN SUCKS chants) So, Kevin says he has to address that first. Do they know how disgusting that is? Are they too stupid to realize how hypocritical they're all being? Week in and week out, they'll chant for him or "FIGHT OWENS FIGHT", unless he lays a finger on Sami Zayn. Then, they'll boo. Or uh, if someone even mentions the name John Cena, they boo, but if he talks about beating John Cena, they cheer. Which is ironic, because they're the John Cena of fans. There's nothing genuine from them, EVER. They claim to love NXT and want everybody in NXT to succeed, but when they talk about NXT selling out a 13,000 seat arena which only sold out because he's in the man event, THEY BOO. THEY WANT NXT TO GROW, BUT THEY BOO BECAUSE IT'S NOT THEIRS ANYMORE? That's exactly why every time he HAS to come to Full Sail, he feels sick to his damn stomach, because he's performing for a bunch of ungrateful and undeserving pieces of trash.

THAT'S IT MVP RACE OVER, IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE!

Anyway, he continues on by saying beating their little flavor of the month Finn Balor in front of a crowd that actually deserves to see that match is gonna make him feel better. And as far as he's concerned, he needs to understand something. All Japan was was a fluke. He shouldn't have beaten him and it's not going to happen again. In Brooklyn, the Kevin Owens he faces that night is someone he hasn't encountered before. He has no idea what's coming. He needs the NXT Title so he can come back here and shove it in everyone's face. It won't be WALK Owens WALK or LOSE Owens Lose. It's gonna be Destroy Owens Destroy and Climb Owens Climb. When he climbs up the ladder and says when he's up here, it's not going to be an epic battle with Finn on the other side as they reach. The fact is that when he's up here, Finn will be down on the mat with a trainer, doctor, and stretcher as he reclaims what's always been his. Lights go out, and Finn's music hits, he's sitting on the top turnbuckle when the lights come on. Owens climbs down and they fight. Finn gets the better but Owens avoids a ladder shot and backs off up the ramp. Finn climbs the ladder with the title and says he's going to kick his ass and shut his mouth.

*AWESOME go home show in terms of promos, essentially Owens.

NXT TakeOver Brooklyn
August 22nd, 2015
Barclays Center: Brooklyn, New York

Triple H is standing in the middle of the ring, the whole arena is pitch black but he has this huge ass spotlight on him. He says it started with a whisper until you screamed it at the top of your lungs. We gained momentum, and you made us unstoppable. We had a vision for change, you made it a revolution. We told you "we are the future" Until you told us the "Future is now" he then does the BOSS TRIPS NXT POSE!

HOLY SHIT THAT WAS CORNY!

Breeze has models model his Summer 2015 collection, the models are dressed as buildings in NYC e.g. Empire State and the Statue of Liberty.

Tyler Breeze vs. Jushin "Thunder" Liger
Good game of cocky 1 upmanship to start, Liger has the experience and shows it as he toys with Breeze. HE EVEN TAKES A SELFIE ON BREEZES PHONE :mark: He tries to end it early with the Liger bomb but Breeze pulls at the mask to distract him and he follows up with a supermodel kick to take over. He works the head and it's pretty good, Tyler has completely lost that aggressive edge he used to do in matches and is now just another wrestler sadly, he does bust out new stuff from at times. Liger makes a nice comeback off the running rolling kick in the corner, Breeze gets the knees up off a splash and connects with a crucifix pin for two. Breeze gets pissed at the ref touching him after a corner 5 count which allows Liger to drill him with a palm strike, he follows with a senton to the floor and hits the Running LigerBomb for the win. Solid stuff. **3/4

Kevin Nash, X-Pac & Scott Hall are sitting in the front row.

Backstage: Bayley, Becky, and Charlotte all hug in the back.

NIA JAXXX's, SHE'S NOT LIKE MOST GIRLS!

Everyone comes out to the ring, Bliss taunts them at not being able to find someone to back them. She goes to slap them, but MOTHERFUCKING BLUE PANTS COMES OUT!

NXT Tag Team Championships: The Vaudevillians (w/Blue Pants) vs. Blake & Murphy (w/Alexa Bliss)
BBM wearing iron man inspired colors ruled on the low, VV are wearing blue which also is kind of cool. This is fine I guess, neither team is amazing, everything is just solid you. It's one of those matches, everything is tight, they all hit their marks but it doesn't grab you. They tell a solid story with the Blue Pants showing threw the champs off guard, to the challenger's control in the early going but Blake pulls English off the apron as he was distracted with Murphy to give the champs an advantage now. They work the head with holds and cut the ring in half basic heel stuff. Match picks up a ton when Gotch gets the hot tag, he has these sweet running forearms and knees as the match breaks down. The champs have some miscommunications and bump for one another, that allows English to her a Swanton for an awesome near fall. Blue Pants stops a Bliss interference allows VV to hit the Whirling Dervish for the win. **1/2

Earlier today Finn, Neville and Xesaro all arrived together in an Escalade Truck

Rick Rubin is sitting in the front row.

Tye Dillinger vs. Apollo Crews
This is bad, it's pretty clear they have no idea what to do with him so they've booked him as a happy to go lucky, just happy to be here babyface. Pretty much the same stuff he's doing on RAW 4 years later. Which is crazy, cause when you look at his vignettes and look at him with that big tooth white smile, crazy in shape smaller Bobby Lashy build and some of the stuff he can do he's obviously a heel. If anyone should be doing a 10 gimmick it's Crews. This gets 4 minutes so it's pretty much the standard NXT TV match, Crews gets too cocky early and Tye catches him with a dropkick as Crews was going for a springboard, he works the head as he did in the Soloman match two weeks ago, but it backfires on him and Crews hits a press slam followed by a standing moonsault for the win. *3/4

Backstage: GM William Regal announces the first ever "Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic" it starts September 2nd, and ends at TakeOver on October 7th.

Mandy Rose and the others from Tough Enough are here.

Baron Corbin vs. Samoa Joe
Awesome struggle to start, Joe being the vet knows all the tricks so he tries to get Corbin to open himself up for the choke and he does but because it's early in the match, Corbin is able to escape. Joe gets a brief control period but Corbin ends it when he catches Joe trying to go for the flying forearm with a forearm of his own. Rich and Graves bring up a wonderful story about how Joe has been doing this for 15 years so, theirs a ton of tape on him. But as for Corbin, he has about 11 months of tape but most of his matches are 1 to 2 minutes so Joe hasn't seen everything Corbin is capable of and with that being said Corbin locks in a heel hook that catches Joe off-guard, he even drills him with a superkick but Joe comes right back with the corner spinkick. And transition into throwing huge bombs, JOE BUSTS OUT A SICK LOOKING SPINNING BACKFIST! He goes for the Muscle Buster but Corbin fights down and hits a modified impaler DDT for two. Good part of the story is Joe not having answers for all of Corbin's move, but he has the End of Days scouted as he knows that's Corbin's big move so he keeps avoiding it. Corbin drops him Tree Spinebuster, but Joe kicks up and switches Corbin's hips spinning him into the choke forcing him to pass out. Awesome shit, they did a good amount for 10 minutes and leaves me wanting more. ***

Ric Flair, SGT Slaughter & KANNA are in the front row.

2/3's of Team B.A.D Are in the crowd.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley comes down to the ring to put herself over as the person who created the Divas' Revolution.

Sasha gets the first real big entrance for someone not named Finn, she comes out in the Escalade that Finn, Neville, and Cesaro all arrived in. So that was nice of her to allow her driver to pick them up like that :side: She also has 4 security with her, they all look like Virgil if he was on roids and was about 2 feet taller. I will say this, this is the peak of Sasha's run as NXT champ, her attitude her presence, attire all of it. I compare it to HBK from WM 14 kinda where you can see someone is at the top of their game.

NXT Woman's Championship Match: Bayley vs. Sasha Banks
Bayley comes out the aggressor as she feels it's her time so she doesn't fall for Sasha's trash talk, and mind games she mixes up brawling and Lucha throws, and it's pretty awesome. They play off the story of them not only being in the ring together so many times, but they joined NXT around the same time so the simple of transitions and moves, don't work or gets counted so they have to bide their time and find an opening. Sashas finds it first but kicking Bayley's knee out sending her to the floor. Sasha is probably the best during control periods in NXT, and it's no different here. Constant taunting, talking shit and trying to fuck with Bayley during a hold. Sasha notices that Bayley has the knees in the corner scouted, so she ends up doing over the top rope. Bayley has these awesome brief comebacks, but the most important one ends when Sasha catches her arm and hangs it up on the ropes, she begins working the hand and it FUCKING RULES! Awesome spot she pins the hand between the steps and ringpost and kicks the steps into it. SASHA DOES A FUCKING FLIP DIVE OVER THE REF! Sasha starts feeling herself some and goes for the Eddie Lucha run up the ropes into an armdrag but Bayley shoves her off the top. That brief moment of separation allows Bayley to recover enough to make a comeback. Sasha counters the Bayley to Belly, but Bayley can't get a lift off due to the hand, so Sasha counters and gets out of a German with a Divorce Court, AND STOMPS ON THE HAND IN THE BANK STATEMENT BUT BAYLEY ROLLS OVER INTO HER OWN OUT OF DESPERATION. BAYLEY TO BELLY FOLLOWS BUT ONLY FOR TWO. FUCKING AMAZING MINUTE OF ACTION! Bayley tries a super Bayley to belly off the top, but Sasha fights it off so Bayley comes back and tries a 'Rana but Sasha shoves her off and Bayley almost spikes herself headfirst. FUCK! They again fight up top, and THIS TIME BAYLEY CONNECTS WITH A REVERSE RANA AND IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWS UP WITH THE BAYLEY TO BELLY FOR THE WIN. ****

Amazing match, such a feel-good ending and it's crazy with me doing this review seeing these two from when they first started to being awful jobbers to now being arguably the two best wrestlers in NXT. I have no doubts that this is the best Woman's match in NXT history, I'll prob have to see if Sasha/Charlotte from HIAC '16 still holds up as I have that as my favorite woman's match of all time.

Bayley celebrates with the title, with Becky and Charlotte running out to congratulate her. Sasha comes in for the embrace too. They all start crying and doing their little hand gestures.

HQwKec4.gif

Seth Rollins' and his Nazi thot are sitting in the crowd.

I guess before the show started Triple H announced an NXT UK tour, I can't remember why I missed it, but I did.

Ladder Match for the NXT World Championship: Kevin Owens vs. "The Demon" Finn Bálor
This is fine but kinda like whatever, you know. Like they're prob was never gonna top the Woman's match, and Ladder matches have been done to death now so their's nothing we haven't seen before. I also don't want to completely shit on them, cause taking bumps on and off ladders is not an easy thing to do, the crowd is somewhat burnt out of the last match so they lose focus and do the Brooklyn thing and chant for other people, and try to get themselves over. A major flaw is this being 22 minutes. So their's a ton of filler before the ladder is even introduced, and lots of laying after a big spot. But with that being said, Owens shines in this with his past Ladder wars from ROH and PWG so he takes a ton of nasty bumps and is able to guide Finn through this, to my knowledge this is Finn's first ladder match. They do a cool deal with Owens grabbing Finn's leg as he's climbing the ladder and drops him with a pop-up powerbomb, Owens begins to climb but Finn knows him off. They essentially MURDER THE APRON POWERBOMB spot as Finn is able to recover once taking it, and go 5 more minutes. Owens sets one ladder up between the middle turnbuckle and other ladder and drags Finn up to the top for a Ki-Krusher move, but Finn fights him off and dumps him onto the 2nd ladder, Finn follows up with a CDG from the top of the ladder before climbing it again and pulling down the title for the win. **1/2

NXT Episode 161
August 26th, 2015
Barclays Center: Brooklyn, New York

This is the first ever NXT Post TakeOver show where they tape the matches before the show at the same venue, and then add a bunch of highlights and post-match stuff to it. It's an hour and a half episode this week.

Enzo Amore, Big Cass & The Hype Bros vs. Team American Revival (Dash, Dawson, Jordan & Gable)
Enzo/Cass pop here is ridiculous, it's louder than anything on takeover lauder than Bayley's title win, Anything, I remember at this time being made puzzled at why NXT chose VV over Enzo/Cas to not only have the tag title match instead of the more over hometown boys. It's one of those things I'll never get, but whatever. Another thing I thought was weird was having this 8 men double tag match. Why not just have a 4-way tag match, it could be single fall or elimination. But again I can't change the past, just yet :side: This is a blast for what it was, Team AR isolate Enzo, but 70% gets cut due to the network break, so fuck them. But what we see is awesome Revival double teams, Jordan throwing him around and Gable outwrestling him and embarrassing him so it ruled. Cass goes on his run during the hot tag, oh what could have been, the match breaks down and everyone starts hitting moves. Cass drops Gable with a black hole slam, and finish him off with the rocket launcher for the win. **1/2

Backstage: Regal is going over the Dusty Rhoades tag team classic when Neville comes over and asks if a spot is open. Regal says for all Neville has done for NXT he'll find a spot for him.

WWE.con exclusive, Finn says he proved that Tokyo wasn't a fluke, and he proved to KO he deserves to be champion. Brooklyn saw a new side of him and NXT, the future is now, this is only the beginning.

Backstage: Devin is with Becky and Charlotte, she asks them about tonight 4-way. Charlotte says ever since Dana debuted she's been on a mission to prove she is the most dominant Diva and on this mission, she found an Evil Emma. Becky says normally she likes lapdogs but not ones from Australia as she finds them a little "ROUGH" SMH! Charlotte says she's here to prove she's the best, and Becky says the same.

Eva Marie vs. Carmella
God bless both girls they try, they really do. Like they try chain wrestling and to their credit, it's not atrocious, so these Brooklyn morans chant you can't wrestle. And pretty much just BOOOOOO Eva for the full 5 minutes, they pretty much never gave this a chance. Eva works her arm holds for time, and even mocks the S.A.W.F.T catchphrase before Mella makes a comeback, she snaps off a pretty sweet 'rana but a chin-breaker puts a stop to that and Eva finishes her off with Slice Bread #2 for the win. *1/2

Breeze send in a promo via his phone, he says Liger won, but is he really the winner? when he gets to walk around looking like this while he has to wear a mask still. Breeze says he has to go, as he has to talk to Mr. Regal about something that would really put him on the map.

Backstage: Dana and Emma are talking when, Devin comes over and Emma say tonight, Charlotte will find out the difference between looking dominant and being dominant, and Becky Lynch is the joke, once again. Dana pats Devin on the head again.

WWE.com Exclusive, Bayley says she's dreamt about this forever but it doesn't compare and she still can't wrap her head around it. She says having her 4hourse woman celebrate after meant so much and she's upset that they're up there and hopes they don't leave her.

Devin is with William Regal. He says the opening match is set, but Corbin comes in. He says he doesn't play well with others, but he wants in this tournament and wants to win it. Regal says he has somebody else like him who wants in, so he's going to put him with that person, Rhino, a team. Next week, they can be in the opening match against the most dominant team in NXT history, The Ascension. UGH!

BULL-FIT!

Elias Samson vs. Bull Dempsey
YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! ELIAS IS NOW IN ELIAS ATTIRE AND IS COMING OUT WITH A GUITAR! IT'S HAPPENING :mark: Bull is still super fat, and is down to 304lbs, the hilarious thing is he gets 0 pop and even tries to do that hometown go up to the fans stuff but it's a dud :lmao Bull is pretty much the exact same wrestler he was before the gimmick change so this sucks, Elias also isn't really good yet. Bull now uses his fat as a joke and hits a sitdown splash for the win. *

WWE.com Exclusive, Samoa Joe says the fans got him through one of the toughest tests of his life and hopes this message sent everyone in the back, Samoa Joe is here and means absolute business. This isn't a game. He came here to make statements, and he makes them with his fists. He beat up one of the biggest and baddest animals and he'll do it until he gets what he wants, and that's the championship.

"I'M NOT LIKE MOST GIRLS"

Fatal 4 Way Match: Emma vs. Dana Brooke vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte
This is another thing I don't get, why not just have the "friends" team up, why are they fighting particularly when nothing is on the line. Especially if they're just gonna have Emma and Dana team up for the whole match, outside a suckerkick WTF! JUST GIVE ME THE FUCKING TAG. Or give me one last Charlotte/Becky 1off on NXT before they head to the main roster for good. This is really ad though, Dana is so bad and I guess being around her made Emma terrible too, lots of sloppy moments, them getting caught waiting for the next spot. Mostly on the Dana and Emma's side. They isolate Becky in the ring and keep knocking Charlotte off the apron so yeah. She eventually gets back in and they go to the finish with the ref accidentally counts three when Emma hits Becky with the Emmamite Sandwich. The ref clearly knew what he was doing. thank you, Drake, for saving us. *

After the match; The Submission Sisters beat up poor Emma for winning cleanly, and Dana for well, being Dana.

NXT Episode 162
September 2nd, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

First Round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: The Ascension vs. Rhyno & Baron Corbin
For some ungodly reason, the Ascension gets a monster pop. I hate Florida. This is short and straight to the point, the Ascension isolates Corbin with their pandering offense for a bit before Team Rhynorbin takes over. tons of stomps and punches. Before fat ass Connor gets the hot tag, the match breaks down Corbin pulls Victor out before they can do the Fall of man deal and that allows Rhyno to hit the gore for the win. *3/4

Backstage: Devin is with Soloman and Neville, she asks Neville why he wanted to take part in this with him being on the main roster. He says Dusty is partly the reason why he is who he is today, Soloman says it's an honor to be in this but to be Neville's partner feels good. He says he's calling their shot and they're gonna win the whole thing. BANG!

Alexa Bliss vs. Blue Pants
This is pretty much an extended Bliss showcase, it's her best showing as a heel to date, she's super pissed that this bum ass blue pants nobody took the gold away from her boys and it's time to send her away. So she has some fun stomps, to the back of the head and stuff like that before the Blue comeback but Bliss kicks her legs out and hits twisted Bliss for the win. *3/4

Backstage: GM William Regal is with Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, IT'S HAPPENING! He talks to them, but Breeze busts in and demands to be put in the Dusty classic, he says he wants Regal to find him a partner. Regal thinks it over, and says next week, Tyler will team with said partner will face these two. Regal announces his partner as Bull Dempsey.

Martin Stone vs. Apolo Crews
Decent Crews showcase, he does his spotty stuff before hitting the standing Moonsault for the win.

Backstage: Devin is with Jason Jordan and Chad Gable, Jordan says just because Neville is Crowe's partner, people are now calling them the underdogs. people think they're history, but they're going to make history instead when they beat them. Gable says history is written by the winners, and that's them. Neville is flying a little close to the Sun and they'll see to it that he falls and fails, and people will forget Crowe even existed. Their American Dream is turning into a nightmare when they run into the boy that is always ready, willing, and he gets Jordan to say GABLE! Gable says he finally said it, and it's on camera, buddy.

Backstage: Devin is with NXT champion Finn Balor, talks about him defending his title on the NXT Texas tour. Finn says he can't wait, Devin announces he's in the Dusty Classic and brings in his partner SAMOA JOE! Joe comes over and says he understands the NXT title is very important to him, but so is the Dusty Classic. He asks if Finn is ready and they shake hands.

Eva Marie vs. Billie Kay
Eva match, she tries but isn't very good but at least she's better than Billie. Slice Bread #2 ends it.

First Round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Jason Jordan & Chad Gable vs. Soloman Crowe & Neville
AA vs. Neville ruled as it's them all trying to outdo one another on the mat, and Jordan just trying to throw Neville around but Neville "defines" gravity and keeps landing on his feet. The two singles guys mesh well, as they stay out of one another well and control Jordan for a bit. But he busts out a nice German on Solo to give his team control, they work the mid-section and even add a fun little comedy spot, with Gable waving the red towel in front of Solo's face daring Jordan to come charging in like a bull and he hits his awesome shoulder blocks. AA working this cocky heel thing is so weird maybe because, I don't remember this and all their interactions don't come off cocky, their dynamic is I nerdy amazing amateur wrestler getting on the nerves of the cocky power/explosive jock. But they have this awesome chemistry, so they can't hate the other. Anyway, their control is fine but it's missing something, Neville's hot tag rules and the match breaks down and the match picks up a ton. Jordan has these awesome feats of strengths catching Neville and Soloman in mid-air before hitting a suplex, the match ends when Solo tags himself in looking for the glory, but it backfires and AA hit Grand Amplitude for the win. **3/4

Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Carmella vs. Peyton Royce
Billie got her name last week, and Peyton got it this week so it's only a matter of time. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! They treat this as Peyton's debut, cause Rich calls this her debut lolno, graves beings up Peyton's past in Australia like we haven't seen this broad struggle and job on TV for months. Anyway, they do stuff neither girl really has much offense so they just trade the basics before Mella locks in the Modified figure-four headscissors for the win. *1/4

Backstage: Finn is getting ready for his match when Joe asks if he's ready. Finn says he'd better be because the Dragons are no joke and he's ready to win the tournament for Dusty. Joe says it sounds like he's ready, and puts the title on Finn's shoulder. FORESHADOWING!

Clips air of Enzo/Cass and Dash/Dawson all advancing in their first-round matches during house shows.

First Round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Tyler Breeze & Bull Dempsey vs. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa
Rather good time, it's pretty much about the indy guys and Breeze wanting nothing to do with Bull so he tries to work the match himself, but it keeps backfiring so he tags Bull back in to try to clean up his mess. It works the first few times but Johnny Wrestling drills him in the head and takes over. They wear him down with headlocks and holds to pass the time but it gets cut due to the break, the match ends when Bull accidentally knocks Tyler off the apron which allows Johnny to sunset flips Bull and Tomato follows with a jackknife pin for the upset win. I don't think Gargano and Ciampa even signed at this point, so for them to come in an essentially get a showcase and even the win is pretty huge. **

After the match; Breeze attacks Bull only losing 2lbs in 2 weeks, also for being a giant fuckup.

Backstage: Devin interviews Dana Brooke, Dana says something is bothering her and it's not that she hasn't patted her on the head lately, or that Carmella calls herself the hottest chick in the ring, child, please. It's that she had to watch Bayley, who she's beaten, become the new NXT Women's Champion. She wants it to be known that she should be champion and she's the best, so she has to be champion to do that. People don't think she takes it seriously. She's declined the Arnold Classic Spain to compete here because playtime is over.

Billie Kay vs. Dana Brooke
BRUH! They're still treating this as her debut when she had a match last week using this name, god fucking dammit. The Blind leading the Blind, it's like watching two blueberries having sex, I would rather have the runs. Dana wins I don't care.

Bayley hangs out with that mark Izzy.

First Round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: The Lucha Dragons vs. Samoa Joe & Finn Balor
This from Providence, Ri during one of the pointless Superstars or Main Event D level preshow shows. Cause Todd Phillips and Jimmy Uso are on commentary for this. This is a ton of fun, it gets 10 minutes, it's not mindblowing or amazing but everyone is solid and they all hit their stuff clean. Finn/Cara shockingly have a good exchange to start, and it's mat wrestling which neither guy excels at. The Dragons target Finn's ribs, and it's frigging awesome where were these guys when they were champions? They hit these awesome double teams, and Cara has these awesome right hands. WTF!?!?! Joe's hot tag is great he runs through all his best stuff and kills Kalisto with combo's man, I wish Singles Kalisto was still in NXT. So many dream matches, the match breaks down and Joe hits Kalisto with the Muscle Buster, and Finn tags himself in and hits Coup de Grace for the win. **3/4

NXT Episode 164
September 16th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

It's supposed to be Tyler Breeze vs. Adam Rose, Rose comes out in glasses and plain black trunks cause his main roster run has completely failed and he's on his last string. He says the WWE Universe took a big poop on the Adam Rose party, so he's doing the same to them. NO FUN ALLOWED! Bull Dempsey comes out now, he says when Breeze attacked him last week it was no accident and it won't be an accident what he does to him right now. Bull is super over tonight, Bull asks to have the ring so he can beat him up, and Rose refuses and slaps Bull, so Bull beats him up and chases Breeze out.

Danny Burch vs. Tye Dillinger
Martin Stone is Danny Burch, he's just one to get the random name change and act like this is a debut even though he's wearing the same attire he's been wearing. Solid Tye showcase, he does a bunch of stuff that is not 10 worthy but because 10 is corny the crowd is now fully behind him. He wins with a Running inverted overdrive. *1/2

Backstage: Corbin and Rhyno talk to a camera, Rhyno says he and Corbin are not worried about these kids who shocked the world and busted the bracket, but what he's more worried about is what they do to them inside that ring. Corbin says this is a team built on respect. He doesn't know who these guys are or where they came from. They're not looking past them, they're looking through them.

ASUKA NEXT WEEK!!!!

Apolo Crews vs. Solomon Crowe
This is a blast, and if it was given more time it would have been a breakout match for both men, Crews comes out flashy and he looks like a guy that should be a 10 gimmick. His deadlift into a German was awesome, but Soloman caught him coming in during the baseball slide to the floor and hangs him up in the ring skirt before attacking him blindly like a hockey fight :mark: Sadly, Soloman's control is short lived and only really a sleeper move before Apolo makes a comeback, he hits the standing Moonsault for the win. **1/2

Backstage: Ciampa and Gargano talk to a camera, Johnny says nobody's given him a chance his entire life, but you only get one life and they showed the world that they belonged when they won. They weren't shocked. Ciampa says he feels insulted that people are looking past him, them being here is not an accident and tonight they take one step closer to winning the Dusty Classic.

Backstage: Devin is with Dana and Emma, Emma says they know things are going on at NXT. The champ is back, new women are here, and they're missing out on all the fun. Dana says they're shaking some things up and showing these newbies who is in charge. Playtime is over.

THE BOSS ARRIVES AT THE BUILDING!

Clips air of The Hype Bros and the Vaudevillians all winning their first-round matches.

Next Week: Dash/Dawson vs. VV in a 2nd round match during the Texas tour.

Second Round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Rhyno & Baron Corbin vs. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa
AWESOME Opening minute between Rhyno and Ciampa, it's crazy how smaller Ciampa uses to be compared to how he is now. Team PWG use their speed to frustrate Team Animal, so they hit a bunch of dives, quick tags, double teams and stick and moves but Corbin catches Ciampa with Deep6 to take over, Solid big man stuff from the Animals, J.Wrestling has a great hot tag he does all his flashy offense and uses the speed to again keep Corbin off balance, the match breaks down and Gargano leapfrogs the Gore but gets caught in the end of dayz for the win. **1/2

Backstage: Devin is with VV, they talk about how amazing it would be to win the Dusty classic and do so while being champion. BBM come over and invoke their rematch clause.

Bayley comes out and does a big championship celebration, she goes into the crowd hands the title to kids to hold before coming back and getting that Mark Izzy to do her pose with her in the ring.

Bayley vs. Sarah Dobson
Good showcase for the new champ, Bayley to Belly ends it.

She grabs a mic, but Sasha's music immediately hits, she says Bayley is probably wondering why she's here. She came here to congratulate her, not belittle or berate her. Ever since Takeover, she's only heard how they stole the show. and had the match of the year, but that it's the greatest women's match this company has ever seen. And that's all great for everyone except her. SHE CAME HERE TO BE THE BEST! And for three seconds, Bayley was better, but she's still not her and now she has even a bigger point to prove. Bayley says she does too and asks when she wants her rematch. Sasha says she has a point to prove, that she's the best female wrestler in this company. She has to send a message, she wants to beat her again and again and again and again until everybody realizes the fairy tale doesn't have a happy ending. GM Regal comes out and books the rematch at the next TakeOver in a 30 Minute Iron-Woman Match, oh and it's the MAIN EVENT!

NXT Episode 165
September 23rd, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

A clip airs from the Billie/Eva match 3 weeks ago when Eva forgot to kick out after a suplex, so poor Drake younger had to stop the count in mid-count and wait for Eva to kick out, I don't know why I didn't add it in. Anyway, Eva cuts one of those talking box promos she thanks the ref for not caving in, to the pressure from their biased fanbase and doing the right thing by seeing her shoulders come up before three.

Eva Marie vs. Carmella
Again they both try really hard, but the crowd gives them mostly Eva no chance. To the point, a fucking "SUPER DRAGON" and an "ALL BOTCH EVERYTHING" chant starts. Eva again is pinned, but the ref stops before three and sees her toe touch the ropes. She winds up sending Carmella out to the floor, and Carmella hits the ramp hard and is counted out. *

Video Package of the Bayley/Sasha stuff from last week airs.

Bull Dempsey vs. Tyler Breeze
Breeze bumps around and really tries to make Bull look good, but fat white Taz who doesn't throw suplex or good working strikes just isn't and Breeze throws him off the top and covers using the ropes for leverage for the win. I think this might be the end of the BullSHIT!

Clips air from the NXT tour around Texas.

GM William Regal is in the ring and introduces NXT's newest signee "KANA" even though the video packages all have her named Asuka, good job Trips. DAT THEME MUSIC :mark: even if it's V.1 without the lyrics, but that beat goes so hard. She does the KETA to Hideo tron change, cause all Japanese people are the same. She picks up a mic and says she's happy to be here in NXT. Dream come true. She wants to be Women Champion. And signs the contract, Regal signs it too which means we must be getting a Regal/Auska match :mark: Sadly, Dana and Emma come out, Regal says this is incredibly rude, and they wave at Asuka. Emma gets the mic and says hello, Asuka or whatever her name is. She says their names are Emma and Dana. And they're NXT's welcoming committee, so welcome. Emma says if she plans to survive in this locker room, she has to understand that they're in charge here. Dana says they ran Charlotte and Becky right out of NXT, so if she doesn't play nice, she'll be over before her career has even started. And she needs to get out of their ring because PLAYTIME IS OVER! Asuka actually leaves but then smiles at the top of the stage.

Backstage: A camera tells Breeze that Regal has booked him versus Apolo for TakeOver. He asks if he's supposed to be excited. Crews comes over and says he's excited and says he'll see him next week. He won't let Tyler step around him and says he's just messing with him and says to take care of himself. I'm 90% sure Crews is a heel.

Clips air of my Kids beating the bum ass Tag Team Champions in a none-title match, but it advances them in the Dusty Classic. They face the winners of Joe/Finn vs. Enzo/Cass in the Sami-Finals at TakeOver.

NXT Tag Team Championships: Blake & Murphy (w/Alexa Bliss) vs. The Vaudevillians
Bliss interferes about a minute in so Blue Pants chases her to the back making it 2on2. This gets 8 minutes or so, it's pretty much the same match as the Brooklyn one. B&M are thrown off without their leader so VV control in the early going, and again English gets distracted by Blake allowing Buddy to do Roddy's backdrop on the apron to takeover. Gotch has a nice hot tag, he does his manly offense of forearms and other strikes, he sets Blake up for English to hit the Swanton but he gets the knees up and Murphy hits Sasha's double knees off the middle rope for two. They send Murphy to the floor and hit Blake with Whirling Dervish to retain. **

NXT Episode 166
September 30th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Dusty Classic update, Jordan and Gable beat the Hype Bros to advance to the Semi-Finals. And will face Rhyno/Corbin at TakeOver.

Second Round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Enzo Amore & Colin Casady (w/Carmella) vs. Samoa Joe & Finn Balor
The winner goes on to face my kids in the Semi-Finals at TakeOver. OhNoz Finn debuts the leather jacket, so it's almost time for him to be popping his collar like it's 2005 or whatever year that song came out. Real good Joe/Cass opening with both going for the knockdown attempt but it doesn't work so Joe uses his striking advantage to try to breakdown Cass who comes back with a monster shoulderblock knocking Joe out of the ring. As they fight on the floor, both Enzo and Finn hit stereo dives. Back from break, we miss the entire heat segment on Enzo UGH! And they go right into the Cass hot tag, and it's pretty awesome. He drills both Joe and Finn with big boots and hits the empire state elbow but only gets two. He follows it with a side slam and they hit the rocket launcher but Joe rolls through it and Finn blind tags in again, he kicks Cass off the apron and finish Enzo off with the Muscle Bustler/Coup de Grace combo for the win. Man, this needed more time, or two at least be shown is full for fuck sake. Stop putting commercials in meaningful matches. **1/2

Backstage: Johnny says they went from the highest high to the lowest low. They might have surpassed a lot of people's expectations, but not their expectations for themselves and says they're not done here together. Johnny says he has Apollo tonight, someone they know well. Tyler Breeze comes over and says any friend of Apollo's is probably an enemy of his, and if Mr. Regal lets him, Ciampa has an opponent for tonight. He leaves and Ciampa says he'll kick that boy's teeth down his throat.

Johnny Gargano vs. Apollo Crews
Another really good showing by both here, Gargano gets into his awesome flashy babyface offense and Crews struggles against someone quicker and more flashier than him. It's more of a Gargano showcase than it is Crews, he wears him down with different holds like a front headlock or a modified octopus. But Crews finds his opening and mounts a comeback before hitting the standing Moonsault for the win. **1/4

GM Regal is with Dana and Emma in his office, he says he brought them here to show them something. But first, he announces Dana vs, Auska at TakeOver, he then shows them footage of Auska's striking a punching bag. They both look frightened and petrified by it.

SHE'S NOT LIKE MOST GIRLS!

Dana Brooke & Emma vs. Billie Kay & Peyton Royce
Pretty cool that it's the present mean thots vs. the future ones, Peyton and Billie are in matching orange and pink attire, it's super bright. JESUS! They play off Emma and Dana being scared still of what they just saw from Auska so the IIcons take advantage early, but it goes nowhere and the Evil one's take over. Bunch of hot bodylocks and stomps before Peyton gets the hot tag, Dana wins with the Dana Valley Bomb. *1/2

Backstage: Devin is with Jordan & Gable, Jordan gets her to call him JJ. THAT'S SICK ~ Gable :lmao She asks how they're gonna overcome their odds and beat Rhyno and Corbin to advance. Gable says it was her bad saying they're against the odds. He wrestled in the Olympics. She shouldn't act like she doesn't know that when she does. YEAH! JJ says Rhino and Corbin have to overcome THEM! Because they're that good, and it's onto the finals. Gable says it's so sick because they've won a lot of tournament finals and it doesn't matter of if Dash & Dawson (Jordan say NOT likely) or Finn/Joe they will be Ready, willing, and AND THE REVIVAL COMES IN. Dawson says he could have sworn he just heard them say "Not Likely" when saying their names, and Dash says they owe them for losing in Brooklyn. They all argue over each other with JJ and Dash arguing about catching things, as Dawson and Gable argue about who has a better towel :lmao

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Tyler Breeze
Solid couple of minutes, Breeze comes aggressive which backfires as he falls right in Ciampa's game so he loses that battle but regains momentum with a spinning neckbreaker. He targets the neck with a front headlock but Ciampa fights out a couple of times before making the big comeback, he kills him with a high knee and running lariat but only gets two, he sets him up for a move off the top but Breeze cuts him off and hits a dropkick out of mid-air. He then follows up with the FUCKING UNPRITTIER for the win. **

NXT TakeOver: RESPECT!
October 7th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Semi-Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Finn Balor & Samoa Joe vs. Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder
This starts out great with Joe bull rushing a poor unexpected Dash and beats the tar out of him, before allowing Finn to come in and it's arguably the best Finn has looked in months all his high spots look clean, his striking and being the sparkplug for his team all ruled. But he starts getting too flashy and cocky trying to take out both of my kids, that the numbers catch up to him and Dawson clips the knee. Awesome legwork by the Dash and Dawson as it's what they excel at as we're gonna find out in the next couple of months/a year. Super brutal stomps and twisting of the knee, along with holds and the occasional using the ring ropes/post to further hurt the knee. And again to Finn's credit, his selling during the work ruled, he hobbles around and grabs it the whole time and the simple things like yelling in pain sounded realistic. They do this awesome tease spot, where Finn is just about to tag out but Dash goes under the ring so Joe doesn't see him coming and pops out of the other side pulling him off the apron before Finn can make the tag, they have a couple more false hope tag spots but nothing compares to that. Joe eventually makes the hot tag and cleans house, he has Dash up for the Muscle Buster, but Finn begs for the hot tag and eventually tags himself back in for the glory. So Joe hits the Buster and Finn follows with Coup de Grace with the bad leg for the win. Without question this is the best tag match to date in NXT which is sad, it took 9 months for NXT to produce one MOTYC tag match. The crowd being hot for this helped out a bunch too. ***1/4

Backstage: Sasha Banks is getting ready for her match.

Semi-Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Jason Jordan & Chad Gable vs. Rhyno & Baron Corbin
Jordan/Gable now have matching attire, it's ugly af fuck like top 5 cheapest attires i've ever seen but still, it means they're fully committed. I think in that breaking ground doc they said they ordered the sweat suits or proper attire for this but it didn't arrive on time. This is supposedly two heel teams but the hot crowd is behind Jordan and Gable, so then end up playing the faces by default and in the long run, it ends up benefitting them. Jordan and Gable try their formula of outwrestling you which took them this far, but now there in against two vicious animals that put a stop to all that stuff with a punch to the face or a power move. Awesome heat segment on Gable, out he busts out this awesome sympathetic babyface selling as he just gets his ass beat for like 3 minutes, JORDAN ALSO DEBUTS HIS HOT TAG STUFF WHICH FUCKIN RULED AND ONLY GETS BETTER IN TIME! He does those "freaky strong moves" which is only a shock to commentary as their blueberries cause he's not a small man. But fuckit. The match breaks down, and Gable hits the Doug Williams rolling German on Corbin for two, Rhyno then hits a Gore on Jordan BUT CORBIN COUNTERS A TORNADO DDT INTO THE END OF DAYS FOR THE WIN. Tag Wrestling is almost here :mark: ***

kuKKaez.gif

It's now Finn/Joe vs. Corbin/Rhyno in the finals, which is such a Dusty thing to have two super teams meet in the finals of a tag team tournament. But I will say this, Alpha and Revival came out of this tournament way better than they did coming in, so their's that.

Dana Brooke (w/Emma) vs. Asuka
Auska's theme now has the lyrics, I still have no idea what is being said, but god damn that shit still goes hard af. Real good debut for Asuka here, she pretty much puts on a striking display early on and even does Dana's taunts better than she does, but Emma traps her ankle in the ring apron which allows Dana to snap her neck in between the ropes. Dana's offense isn't really much outside a body scissors and her shitting handstand boot choke which is on the same level of her CUNT KICK of stupid. Asuka's comeback ruled as she beats the shit out of Dana before locking in a crossface chicken wing aka the Asuka lock for the win. **1/2

After the match; Dana tries to argue with the ref so Auska kicks her head in.

Nia Jax's NEXT WEEK!

Tyler Breeze vs. Apollo Crews
I have no idea why this is here outside, Breeze is still on his goodbye tour by putting over the new guys and giving them the rub to become the "future" of NXT. Another awesome showing by Tyler. Crews continue to be this flashy cocky heel doing delayed vertical suplexes and just bull rushing Tyler over on the floor. Tyler bumps off everything and he tries to go into his bag that's kept him relevant in NXT for about 2 years now, but nothing works against this physical specimen so he ends up throwing him hard into the LED board on the apron to take over, Crews takes a pretty gross bump off that, Breeze works the back but Crews selling is pretty meh and inconsistent. They finish hot tho, with Breeze having a counter to the standing moonsault so Crews busts out the new finish of a running blue thunder bomb for the win, Sami gotta feel some type of way. He's spent the past year and a half getting that over as a false finish now to have some big black man just take it and use it as his finish. **1/2

4An01G6.gif

Hideo and Funaki are sitting in the front row.

Backstage: Bayley is looking nervous as she prepares for her match.

Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament: Baron Corbin & Rhyno vs. Samoa Joe & Finn Balor
Kinda weird opening between Finn and Rhyno, Rhyno plays it like a face where he doesn't go after the knee and he breaks clean a bunch like he and Finn didn't have a feud over the summer smh. Corbin goes right at the knee, so Finn tags out and we get more Joe/Corbin goodness. Team Animal isolate Joe for a bit, its solid lots of striking and holds as they target his lower back and kidneys. Finn makes the hot tag, he goes some flying around but jams it on a landing but fights through it until Rhyno clips it on the apron and the Animals target it now. It's not as good as my kids, but it's passable. Joe's hot tag is fun as he cleans house but Rhyno drills him with a gore for two. Finn then takes out Corbin allowing Joe to hit Rhyno with a muscle buster, Joe finally TAGS Finn in who follows up with Coup de Grace for the win. ***

After the match; the Rhodes family present Finn and Joe the Dusty trophy and flowers.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and Lita are all in the front row to watch the main event.

BACKSTAGE MAIN EVENT WALKS~!

UGH! The crowd who have pretty much been awesome all night, and been the best crowd of any show i've watched all year try to ruin it with the pre-match "MAIN EVENT", "WOMAN'S WRESTLING" & "YOU DESERVE IT" chants, then as soon as the bell rings they chant "THIS IS AWESOME" c'mon.

30 Minute Ironman Match for the NXT Woman's Championship: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley
After about 3 years Saxton finally says something useful on commentary, he says Bayley is wearing the Ironman colors for inspiration for this match, while Sasha is wearing the pink/yellow it's the colors she wore when she first broke into NXT. First 5 minutes of so is a really good feeling out process, they take it to the mat before logically trying quick pins and roll-ups, it's not the smoothest of transitions but it really puts over their desperation of wanting that first fall and to work ahead. Sasha takes a nasty bump on her head/neck/shoulder during one of the exchanges, thankfully it doesn't seem to affect her after. Bayley falls for the playing nice stuff, so she kicks it into a new gear and takes over with some fast-paced but big moves stuff and it throws Sasha off. So, she has to get desperate and poke Bayley in the eyes behind the refs back and rolling her up for the first fall. 1-0, Sasha. They continue to go back and forth with Bayley having an answer for everything Sasha throws at her and ends up hitting a Bayley-to-belly for the three. 1-1.

Bayley follows up and again tries to do the baseball slide through the ropes, but Sasha has it scouted this time and swings her into the steel steps to finally take control of the match after 13 minutes. Sasha is amazing during this, as she has finally stopped the tweener/respect stuff and gotten back to what got her to the top. She keeps throwing Bayley in the steps right in front of Izzy and even trash talks the kid :mark: She then throws Bayley into the tron and RIPS THE HEADBAND OF IZZY'S HEAD AND SHE STARTS CRYING YEEEEEES! NEW MVP :mark: Bayley ends up getting DQ'ed and that puts Sasha up 2-0. She targets the back and again it's really good, but in an amazing bit of storytelling, Sasha is too focused on hurting Bayley instead of trying to get pins, which backfires and Bayley ends up rolling her up to even the falls. 2-2.

bqimX53.gif
ryVVMO6.gif
86jLrip.gif

Sasha goes for the double knees to the back, but Bayley moves and Sasha hurts her knees on the mat which sparks a Bayley comeback. They end up fighting over the tree of woe position with both hitting a move, Bayley with a springboard elbow and Sasha with the double knee. The lowers begin chanting "BETTER THAN RAW" and just you wait, you idiots. BUT FUCK THEM! Bayley gets revenge by targeting Sasha's hand/arm as Sasha did to her at Takeover, she slams it a bunch on the steel steps before using it to leap off and hit a flying clothesline on the floor, but Sasha kicks her into the steps looking for another countout. BUT THEN SASHA TRIES A SUICIDE DIVE BUT BAYLEY CATCHES HER AND HITS THE BAYLEY-TO-BELLY ON THE FLOOR! HOLY SHIT! She rolls her back in but only gets a two count. 5 minutes left, they again fight up top and BAYLEY HITS A SUPER BAYLEY-TO-BELLY BUT HER MOMENTUM AND BAYLEY TRYING TO COVER ROLLS HER UP TOO FAR THAT SASHA'S FEET TOUCH THE ROPES! Again they fight up top, and Sasha blocks to super back spike 'rana and lands on her feet, she then hits Bayley with her own hugplex but Bayley kicks and out, and Sasha immediately locks in the Bank Statment with a minute and a half left. Sasha can't fully lock it due to the hurt hand which allows Bayley to rip at the fingers to break the hold. Sasha again goes for it but Bayley reverses it into a nasty hold of her own and she begins kicking at Sasha head until she quits with 2 seconds left. 3-2, Bayley the match then ends. WOW! IMO not only did they match the Brooklyn match but they overtook it here. Amazing job by both these ladies. What a way for Sasha to go out and this also confirms Bayley is the face of NXT, not that leather jacket loser. ****1/4

3s5X7QF.gif
KFI6P28.gif
aF7uUHf.gif

After the match; the entire roster comes out on the stage. Sasha breaks down crying as Steph presents her with flowers. Hunter then gives Bayley flowers in the ring. Totally unneeded. Could have just had Bayley had her moment for 5 minutes and if they wanted to do 1 last goodbye between them that would have been fine this time.

NXT Episode 167
October 14th, 2015
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida

Bayley comes down to the ring, she says last week NXT made history. And she's not just talking about her match, the whole show was about RESPECT! From the Dusty classic who helped make her and Sasha, being in the Main Event was something the both of them dreamt about. She says they started something special and something real. WE WANT WOMAN'S WRESTLING TO BE RESPECTED! And says the division here looks like the future has been validated. BBM make their way down to the ring, Bliss says what Bayley accomplished last week was incredible. She was in total awe and nobody deserves to be champ more than Bayley right now. She's truly an incredible champion and she's right, the future for the women here really has no limit and she's so excited to share it with her. She raises her arm AND THEN ALEXA TAKES THE TITLE AND MAKES THE BOYS STAND IN BAYLEY'S WAY. Bliss says they won't be sharing this, she didn't write letters to herself when she was 10. She wants this too, and people like her aren't supposed to be champion. She tosses the title back and says it'll be even easier when she takes it for real.

TakeOver exclusive; Regal congratulates both Joe and Finn on their win. Joe says tagging with Finn during this has been an honor, and he hates to spring this on him right now. He says he could have done these various different ways, but he came here for 1 reason the NXT World title. Finn says he's a fighting champion and he can have the match. Regal says everyone deserves a shot and books a #1 Contender Battle Royal next week AKA Tonight. Joe says he undefeated and he deserves the shot. Regal says the Battle Royal stands. Joe leaves in disgust.

Breaking Ground teaser airs. They should bring that back.

Backstage: Tye says 22 men will compete and there can only be 1 winner, and there is only 1 perfect 10.

Backstage: Crews says since day 1 he's said he wants to be champion and this is his shot.

Backstage: Rhyno says in his mind he's already won the battle royal, and it's only a matter of time till he becomes the face of a new revolution.

LOL SOME LOSER IN THE CROWD HAS A "NXT is NXO" sign :lmao

The Vaudevillians vs. Angelo Dawkins & Sawyer Fulton
A basic showcase for the paper champs.

Backstage: Devin is with Dash & Dawson, she asks if they are impressed with the tag wins tonight. Dawson says that wasn't impressive, what was impressive was them pinning the champs in the Dusty classic to advance and by their match (round it up, divide it and carry it over) That makes them the #1 Contenders. Dawson calls them the rightful owners of the titles, he says Enzo and Cass are first tho, and says they're plain, simple, and direct. Ask them, how they doin', when they're done.

TakeOver Exclusive, Dana and Emma are in the trainer's room when Auka comes over and pats Dana on the head. She stares Emma down before leaving. Dana is concussed so she thinks she beat Auska :lmao

Evie vs. Nia Jax
Evie is using V.1 of Rich Homie Swan's "can you handle it" theme. SHE'S NOT LIKE MOST GIRLS~! So this is bad, Nia I think is supposed to be this big badass Karma lite, but instead, she just looks happy and super green, her attire also doesn't do her any favors. Nia has the basics like bearhugs and clotheslines before hitting a modified rock bottom spinebuster for the win. Bad.

Bayley/Sasha recap.

Backstage: Breeze says if anyone deserves a shot at the title it's him.

Backstage: Corbin says when it's all said and done he will be left standing ALL HAIL!

Eva Marie is in Paris, she says she's so sad she not with them but after all her hard grueling matches she needed a little "ME" time. But, she misses them and will see everyone soon.

#1 Contenders Battle Royal for the NXT World Championship
:lmao during Joe's entrance someone does the Shmoney dance to Joe's music. According to Wrestling Wiki, this went 37:40 :lmao:lmao:lmao This is the standard WWE battle Royal tons of punches, resting up against the ropes and shit. My kids along with Rhyno and Corbin all go after Joe for revenge so that's pretty cool for some continuation. Breeze and Bull team up to try to get rid of Gargano is another fine story even if Breeze turned on Bull-Fit but hey. Crews throws out Cutler, Burch, Samson, and Gargano before the break. When we turn, Cass boots Moss out, but my kids then dump to the floor. BUT THEN ENZO SINGLE HANDEDLY-THROWS THEM BOTH OUT. Bull then throws him and Tye out. Rhyno tosses Bull out as Corbin tosses Mojo out. We get a nice sequence with Breeze trying to survive the double team of Blake/Murphy. Corbin throws Ryder out, THEN TURNS ON RHYNO AND THROWS HIM OUT! FUCK YEAH! NO FRIENDSHIP IN THE ANIMAL KINGDOM! During the break Joe eliminated Ciampa, he then throws B&M out. We're down to Joe, Corbin, Breeze, and Crews. Joe/Breeze rules as Breeze can play the babyface and Joe kills him before easily tossing him out. Joe then sets Corbin up for the Muscle Buster but Corbin escapes and throws him to the apron. BUT BREEZE PULLS JOE OFF THE APRON ELIMINATING HIM! And the fucking crowd is chanting "THANK YOU TYLER" BRUH! Corbin/Crews is decent for about a minute, it doesn't really leave me wanting more or hoping for a one-off. Crews survives a bunch before hitting Corbin with kicks and clotheslining him over the top for the win.
