1999 PWI MOTY: Royal Rumble - “I Quit” Match for the WWF Championship: Mankind (c) vs The Rock
The video package that plays before this is great, it shows all the fucked up shit Mick Foley has done during his career, so why would he ever say I quit 8D Rock gives a great pre-match interview with Doc Hendrix. Cole is calling this with King instead of JR bc this was when he was out with Bell’s Palsy, but these Attitude Era theme songs tho :mark: Rock wrestling this in a jumpsuit instead of trunks lol We start with some really good brawling, they play up the gimmick by having Mankind ask Rock if he quits with a microphone, but Rock says to kiss his ass, so Mankind hits him with the mic a few times :mark: We end up outside the ring like two minutes in, steps have already been used as a weapon, and Rock takes Cole’s mic and talks shit to the announcers :lmao Back in the ring, Mankind takes out Socko and locks in the Mandible Claw, but he can’t quit bc he’s asleep now so Mankind takes the mic and says he’s gonna split open Rock’s eyebrow :lmao They’re in the crowd now, and Mankind tries to Cactus Clothesline him over the barricade, but Rock hits a powerslam over it instead :mark: Rock takes the ring bell and hammer and rings it right on Mankind’s ears as he sings “Bells will be ringing” into the mic :mark: Rock tries to hit a Rock Bottom on the Spanish announce table, but it gives away first :lmao They continue seeing how much of the arena they can brawl in as they go up the ramp, and Rock hits a DDT on the top of the stage. Rock brings a ladder into play for them to fuck each other up with more. They use the ladder to climb up the staging area by where some fans are, and Rock ends up hitting him off the ledge onto some electrical stuff that according to Cole shuts the lights off most of the arena. Shane McMahon comes out trying to get Rock to chill, but Rock says “That sum bitch is gonna say I quit” :mark: Rock continues to beat the fuck out of Mankind, they make their way back to the ring, and Rock handcuffs Mankind so his hands are behind his back. Mankind is able to fight back with low blows and bites since he can’t use his arms lol very creative offense. Mankind has been busted open at this point, and Rock easily takes control back since the handcuffs are still on, and hits a People’s Elbow on a chair on Mankind’s face, but Foley says he’ll have to kill him to get him to quit, so Rock just hits Mankind in the head unprotected way too many times. This is harder to watch than the Hell in a Cell match knowing what we now do about concussions tbh Anyway, Rock finally asks Mankind if he quits and plays this hilarious recording of Foley screaming it from an interview, so Rock wins. Yeah this was kinda overrated, it was still good, but I’ve seen better “I Quit” matches for sure, it’s just remembered mostly for the chair shots and Rock’s genius idea of playing a recording to win the most prestigious championship in wrestling.

WON MOTY: Super Power Series - Day 15 - Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship: Mitsuharu Misawa (c) vs Kenta Kobashi
Kobashi grew out a beard for the rematch :mark: The crowd sounds just as hot, if not more, than the ‘98 match. The opening has a pretty slow pace with some nice technical work by both men with Kobashi getting the better of most by utilizing his strength. They do a great job mixing in some strikes and teasing some suplexes, but it hasn’t broken down enough yet, so both guys continue with the technical stuff. The pace picks up and we get some Misawa elbows :mark: These things are so stiff no wonder Kobashi let them finish him the first match. I could watch these two exchange strikes all day tbh. As it gets more violent, they progressively throw in some bigger moves too, and Kobashi ends up hitting a powerslam on the floor as Misawa came off the apron :mark: They brawl on the apron until Kobashi sends Misawa arm first into the rail, hitting his face on it too :mark: Kobashi keeps working Misawa’s elbow throwing arm for a bit, really good stuff. Really cool spot where Kobashi goes for a Dragon suplex, but it gets blocked so it locks in an armbar so smoothly and the crowd reacts as if that could have ended before Misawa barely gets to the ropes. Kobashi is able to stuff Misawa’s comebacks with some stiff suplexes until he tries to hit a vertical suplex from the apron to the floor, but MISAWA LANDS ON HIS FEET AND BACK SUPLEXES HIM OFF THE APRON :mark: Misawa follows this up with an elbow suicida and missile dropkick back in the ring so he’s in full control now, but still remembers to sell the arm a little. He is able to hit a Tiger Driver, but not fully bc of the arm so he can’t capitalize :mark: He goes for a Tiger Driver off the apron like last time, but Kobashi is able to back body drop him onto the apron instead and hits a sick half nelson suplex on the floor. Kobashi hits a few big moves including a nice moonsault for a two count. He misses a lariat, but instead hits one to the back of Misawa’s head instead :mark: Kobashi’s nose is bleeding a little now as he does a little Burning Hammer tease before saying fuck it and hits a Burning Lariat that sends Misawa off the top rope for a two count. Outside the ring, Kobashi tries to powerbomb Misawa on the uncovered part, but Misawa counters with a hurricanrana into the rail :mark: Both guys actively try and finish the other now, hitting bigger moves, but most are able to be countered, so they have to resort to moves that didn’t work in the first match. Misawa ends up hitting a Tiger Driver right on Kobashi’s neck that got a really close two count to a huge pop. Kobashi is able to hit a sleeper suplex of his own that was a pretty nasty bump for Misawa, and then hits the Burning Lariat for another great near fall. Kobashi gets caught with one too many elbows finally, and Misawa wins after hitting Emerald Flosion :mark::mark::mark: Another great match without a single spot repeated from the first, they somehow wrestled similar styles, but made it a completely different match. It’s had to decide which is better honestly.

WON FOTY: UFC 22: Only One Can Be Champion - UFC Middleweight Championship: Frank Shamrock (c) vs Tito Ortiz
This is actually the current UFC Light Heavyweight Championship being defended, it was just known as Middleweight at the time. So we actually have 5 minute rounds now, and the first one is really fun. Ortiz gets the better of him, but both guys look miles better than the other fighters I’ve seen so far. Ortiz hits some nice ground and pound, but Shamrock is pretty good from his guard, so Ortiz can’t get a lot going. Ortiz is able to hit some nice strikes and another takedown in the last minute so he easily had to have won that round. Second round was more of the same until the end of the round where the last 5 seconds were kinda lit as Shamrock went for a guillotine, but Ortiz was able to fight out. Ortiz is still on top most of the time in round 3, but he’s looking a little tired as Shamrock still seems fine, easily maintaining full guard and landing a few decent strikes on the bottom, but he has a cut above his eye. They stand up with 2 minutes or so left and we get a great striking exchange for a few seconds until Ortiz ends up back on top again. The announcers mention Ken Shamrock off “pursuing other endeavors” lol Ortiz has probably won the first three rounds, but he’s getting visibly tired, so Shamrock starts pushing it on their feet during round four, but Ortiz is still able to take him down, but just lays on him at this point bc he’s so tired. Shamrock manages to reverse it, both end up on their feet and he just fucking kills Ortiz with strikes, goes for a guillotine, but settles for some hammer punches to the side of the head that Ortiz doesn’t defend at all so Big John McCarthy calls it with 10 seconds left in the round. Lol I feel like Shamrock was just like fuck this guy he can’t finish me and waited that out.

WON WMOTY: Unforgiven - Kennel from Hell Match for the WWF Hardcore Championship: Al Snow (c) vs Big Boss Man
So this is happening bc Boss Man kidnapped Al Snow’s dog, Pepper, and then cooked and fed the dog to Snow, so logically they must have a Hell in a Cell match only the ring has a regular cage around it and between the two cages are “rabid” dogs. YAY! King’s commentary pretending not to be scared of dogs is hilarious as JR tries to explain that how you win the match is escaping first the cage, then the Cell where the dogs are. Snow comes out with a bag of weapons, and Boss Man has his nightstick. They start brawling outside of the ring, and Snow ends up locking Boss man between the cages as they bring the dogs out. BRUH this commentary is phenomenal, a dog already pissed by the ring. They fight on the cage for a bit as the dogs just bark. Boss Man is in the ring and Snow isn’t so Snow could easily leave, but I guess he’s the one that wanted the match so he wouldn’t want to. Boss Man hits a suplex off the cage into the ring as the crowd starts chanting boring. Snow blades for this match after Boss man hits him with a cookie sheet :lmao Boss man takes some pliers to try and cut his way out the top of the cage to avoid the dogs :lmao GENIUS! He gets part of the top open, but Snow breaks a baseball bat over him, but Boss Man uses the pliers on Snow’s ear :mark: Boss Man gets some powder, but Snow hits it into his face, and then hits him with a pipe so Boss Man is bleeding too. Snow tries to get one of the dogs to bite Boss man’s hand but they don’t do shit :lmao Boss Man hits Snow with the weakest shot ever with a shovel, but then hits him super hard in the back of the head to make up for it :lmao Boss Man handcuffs Snow to the turnbuckle and King asks where those came from and JR says “Probably out of your bag” :mark: Boss Man taunts Snow as he starts to climb out, but Snow breaks off the handcuffs WHAT and crotches Boss Man on the top rope. Snow then pulls out Head and that wakes up the crowd who were completely dead, and hits Boss Man with it then climbs out and threw the door as Boss Man tries to climb up to the top of the Cell, but Snow wins. lol Boss Man then sells being afraid of the dog as he leaves, but there's just piss and shit everywhere :lmao

Tito Ortiz gassed out badly, became a cardio freak afterwards and damn if Frank Shamrock wasn't the first real hybrid fighter in MMA at this point. Kind of sucks he acts like a Shamrock and burns bridges or he would be pushed as such by the big leagues today.

Crazy to think in that I Quit Match that Foley was only supposed to take 2 chair shots and ended up taking 11.

2000 WON MOTY: Jucio Final - Mask vs Mask Match: Atlantis vs Villano III
There’s a shit ton of people here and they're hot af so that should be really fun. Atlantis gets Villano’s manager sent out, which is good bc I didn’t know his name to list him in the title. They start with some typical lucha libre technical work, but I really can’t stress enough how hot this crowd is, I wouldn’t be surprised if they may overrate the match a bit if they keep this up. They get more violent pretty quickly and Villano starts to rip off part of Atlantis’s mask, but the ref warns him that he’d be DQ’d. Villano hits a suicide dive onto the floor. Atlantis is bleeding pretty decently now, IDK if that’s rare or not for 2000 CMLL. They bring out a guy to check on the cut and replay the dive which was a little weak ngl, so I’m guessing blading may be rare. Oh shit I think Villano is bleeding too from where they hit heads on that dive. Villano gets a nice roll-up but the ref counts so slow :lmao You can’t get good false finishes on roll-ups with counts this slow smh these would be way better with a normal fuckin’ ref. Villano’s strikes are really violent, and he does a great surfboard stretch, before locking in a camel clutch, but Atlantis is able to fight out and lock in a bow and arrow stretch :mark: I love that submission. Villano does some more submissions I’d give my SVR CAWs, and does a good job stuffing the Atlantis comeback attempts until Atlantis is finally able to hit a dive out of the ring from the top rope. Back in the ring, Villano is able to lock in an Octopus Stretch so smoothly :mark: But Atlantis is able to fight out, and they do this weird spot that I guess is just a lucha thing, but then they alternate a few nice near falls from pinning combinations. They do some better flippy Lucha spots now, but then Villano says fuck that and just hits a clothesline :mark: The crowd is super hot as Atlantis locks on a backbreaker rack, but can’t finish it bc he sells his blood loss. Atlantis is then able to lock it in again and this time Villano gives up and THE REF FUCKING JUMPS BACK AND FALLS ON HIS ASS TO CALL IT :lmao Yeah I was right about the crowd and spectacle of this supposedly being one of the biggest mask vs mask matches in awhile overrating this as it didn’t stand up to most of the previous MOTYs, but it was still definitely enjoyable for what it was. They make a huge deal about Villano unmasking, he even brings his kid in and everything for it. He gives a really great heartfelt promo that I understood enough of from my 3 years of high school spanish and bitches in the crowd are CRYING as he unmasks :lmao probably bc he’s lowkey kinda ugly. He gives Atlantis his mask as they show ends, pretty cool moment.

PWI MOTY: WrestleMania 2000 - Triangle Ladder Match for the WWF World Tag Team Championship: The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley) (c) vs Edge & Christian vs The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt Hardy)
I had this on VHS as a kid so I already know everything that happens. LOL at it being MOTY as I can name so many 2000 WWF matches that were better, but I’m still excited af. Jeff goes under all three ladders on his way to the ring smh should have only went under two then it would have canceled out. Obviously this just starts out with all three teams brawling, pairing off, and it’s all pretty basic, but good shit. The Dudleyz especially are brutal af, with Jeff selling like crazy for Bubba. The first ladders get involved as the crowd chants for tables. The Hardyz and and E&C try to do Poetry in Motion on each Dudley, it works on Bubba, but D-Von slams the ladder on Christian’s face. Jeff goes for a 450 Splash on Bubba on a ladder, but Bubba moves :mark: Bubba then hits a fuckin’ Senton on top of a ladder that Jeff was under as Edge slams a ladder on top of ANOTHER ladder that Matt was under, and now it’s D-Von’s turn to leg drop a ladder on Edge’s face. Bubba then takes a ladder, puts it on his head and SPINS AROUND HITTING EVERYONE BEST FUCKIN SPOT EVER :mark: Christian dives off the ladder out of the ring to take out Bubba and Matt and that gets “holy shit” chants lol 2000 was a simpler time. Another good spot with Edge spearing Jeff off the ladder from the top turnbuckle. We then alternate guys attempting to get the belts with Matt hitting a sit-out crucifix bomb on Edge, D-Von then slams Matt down, but Christian hits him with another ladder, then Bubba comes in, sets up a second and third ladder, and hits a cutter on Christian off of them :mark: The Hardyz then hit stereo dives on Bubba off ladders. E&C then hit a double suplex off a ladder on to D-Von. E&C and the Hardyz end up on ladders, but Christian hits a facebuster on Jeff and Edge hits a Russian Legsweep on Matt so all four men are down. The crowd chants for tables and Bubba starts reacting :mark: All six men are on a ladder now, Jeff and Christian’s gets tipped over and they miss the ropes completely and land hard as shit on the stage as Matt and Edge fall into the ropes. The Dudleyz take out Edge with a 3D, but instead of going for the belts they GET THE TABLES :mark: “Tables, and ladders, and broken bodies along the way” I love you JR :mark: The Dudleyz set a table on top of two ladders making a kind of scaffold to get the belts, but the Hardyz make their way back in to stop them. The Dudley’z set up two more tables in the ring, and Bubba sets one up in front of the Spanish announce table. D-Von goes to dive on Jeff who’s on a table as Bubba Powerbombs Matt through the one outside, Jeff moves, but Matt can’t avoid the Powerbomb :mark: Jeff goes to come off the barricade onto Bubba, but Bubba just throws a fucking ladder at his face :mark: Bubba then sets up a super tall ladder on the ramp, and gets another table set up in front of it, but Christian hits him with the ring bell, so he ends up laying on the table. Jeff then takes off his shirt, and climbs up to the ladder and hits a Swanton off the top onto Bubba and the table as JR screams DON’T DO IT JEFF :mark: Back in the ring, Matt takes out D-Von with a Twist of Fate. Matt and Christian go for the belts, end up on the table the Dudleyz set on top of the ladders, but Edge makes his way up behind Matt and sends up off through another table that just explodes and Edge and Christian then grab the belts :mark: This was just a spotfest, but it was a fucking great spotfest, but I think the TLC matches they have later are better as they perfect the formula a bit better, but this being the first of any matches like this deserves some recognition for being as fun as it is, great match to rewatch when you’re a kid and only own a few wrestling VHS tapes for sure.

WON FOTY: Pride Grand Prix 2000 - Finals - Openweight Quarter-finals: Kazushi Sakuraba vs Royce Gracie
They bring out Antonio Inoki pre-fight, and Gracie looks way too serious as Sakuraba is having some fun. We’ve got an unlimited amount of 15 minute rounds for this one, so there has to be a winner, no judges. Sakuraba tries to lock on an armbar through the ropes, and there’s no breaks bc there’s apparently no rules. The ref gets them into the ring thankfully bc it was boring, not bc any rules were being broken I guess. Gracie tries to work his wrestling and submission game, but Sakuraba does a good job avoiding most of his stuff, but can’t land anything flush either. Gracie rides Sakuraba’s back most of the first round, but they were pretty even which is why neither guy can capitalize so far. Finally at the end of the round, Sakuraba almost locks in a knee bar, but Gracie survives the end of the round. Round 2 is more of the same really, Sakuraba seems like he’s just waiting for Gracie to get gassed since there’s no time limit and he’s able to block most of Gracie’s stuff. They show Eric Clapton in the crowd :mark: The ref tries to break them, but Gracie is like fuck that you said no rules so I don’t have to break :lmao The both stop fighting and basically take a break bc they’re discussing the rules or I guess the lack thereof, but I guess Gracie wins bc there’s no break. Round 2 is boring af until Sakuraba starts fucking with Gracie’s gi and you can tell he’s getting pissed off :lmao They exchange a few strikes, which doesn’t last long but is pretty fun. Gracie goes for a guillotine, but the round ends before he can get it locked in. In round 3, Sakuraba accidently knees Gracie in the dick and gets a yellow card WAIT I thought there were no rules :side: We finally get some fun strike exchanges as Sakuraba is trying to start doing stuff now. Sakuraba really pushes the pace while standing in the third round, and Gracie’s leg gets hurt. The fourth round (so it’s been 45 minutes so far) is fun for the most part, Sakuraba tries to murder Gracie at one point with a kick to the head while Gracie was on the ground, but it missed. Sakuraba is really in control of this one the more it stays on their feet. Round four was more fun, but still nothing super interesting has happened after an hour. Sakuraba ends up on top in round 5 and hits some nice ground and pound including a double karate chop to the face :mark: Gracie lands a few shots from the bottom, but SAKURABA FLIPS HIM UPSIDE DOWN WITH HIS GI AND PUNCHES HIM IN THE FACE :mark: The round ends right as Sakuraba hits a stomp right to Gracie’s face. Gracie goes all out at the beginning of the 6th round, but gets taken down pretty quick, and we’re back to Sakuraba being on top like last round. They stand back up, and Gracie’s leg gets fucking killed with kicks and he gets caught with some shots so Sakuraba ends up back on top. Sakuraba lets him back up and just destroys him with kickboxing now bc Gracie is too tired for takedowns at this point. Gracie is able to stop it by clinching in the ropes for a bit, but Sakuraba is able to knock him down with a leg kick this time. Sakuraba continues winning on his feet, hitting some nice shots. Sakuraba goes for some flying knee that would have been sick at one point, but the round ends as he ends up missing it. Gracie isn’t able to continue for the next round though and throws in the towel. Wow that lasted 90 fucking minutes and lol that Gracie was the one that wanted the no time limit fight and he still couldn’t win.

WON WMOTY: King of the Ring - Hardcore Evening Gown Match for the WWF Hardcore Championship: Pat Patterson (c) vs Gerald Brisco
Bruh this video package they show prior to the match :lmao Brisco comes out with a 2x4, black wig, and black dress to Hogan’s “Real American” theme song HOLY SHIT :lmao Patterson comes out with a shopping cart of pillows and shit and is having entirely too much fun with this. Patterson tries to convince Brisco to just pin him for the belt, so they hug, but then Patterson just hits him with a low blow, and then Patterson somehow gets a banana and shoves it in his face. Patterson then takes out a tampon WHAT BRUH I’M DONE! They start brawling now as the crowd is booing so loud. Brisco hits a bronco buster. FINALLY Crash Holly comes down with a ref bc the 24/7 rule is still a thing, he strips both of them down to bra and panties, hits Patterson on the head with a trash can, and then wins the belt back. UGH

Granted they were pretty revolutionary at the time, I'll give them that.

2001 PWI MOTY: WrestleMania X-Seven - Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match for the WWF World Tag Team Championship: The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley) (c) vs Edge & Christian vs The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt Hardy)
We start with just some tornado style brawling early, but Edge and Christian both bring a ladder in early to get that involved. E&C put Matt in the tree of woe and then just both start stomping on his dick :lmao The Hardyz hit poetry in motion on Edge as he was climbing the ladder :mark: They then hit tandem offense off ladders onto Christian, but the Dudleyz take them out and hit the WHASSSUPPP Dive on Edge. D-VON GET THE TABLES :mark: Bubba then powerbombs Jeff threw a table that Edge was set up on in the ring. The Dudleyz set up four tables, double stacked outside. Three ladders are now set up in the ring, so all six men start climbing up. The two side ladders end up falling until Bubba and Edge are left, but they knock each other down as well so all six men out out. Edge goes for the belts, but Spike Dudley comes out of nowhere, hits a Dudley Dog on Edge off the ladder, then one on Christian threw a table outside the ring :mark: So now Rhyno comes out, and just fucking takes out everyone helping E&C, hitting a Gore on Matt threw a table. Rhyno tries to help Edge get the belts, but now Lita has to come out since everyone else got involved, really cool spot where she hits a hurricanrana on Rhyno, then Spike hits him with a chair which causes him to hit the ladder Edge was on so it tips over :mark: The Dudleyz hit a Dudley Device on Rhyno, Lita comes in and kills Spike with a chair shot, takes off her top for some reason that I won’t complain about, but then gets hit with a 3D so all the extras are done now :mark: E&C come in and hit a fucking conchairto on Bubba :mark: Outside the ring, Jeff hits a Swanton off a huge ladder onto Spike and Rhyno :mark: Christian and D-Von now go for the belts, but Matt moves the ladder so they’re hanging there, both men end up falling, so Jeff tries to walk across the top of some ladders to get to them, but that doesn’t work so he just climbs normal :lmao He ends up hanging from the belts allowing Edge to hit a spear on him off a ladder :mark: Best spot of the match for sure. Bubba and Matt fight over the belts now, but Rhyno comes back in and sends them flying out of the ring threw four tables :mark: Rhyno then puts Christian on his shoulders and helps him climb up so he can grab the belts.

WON FOTY: UFC 31: Locked and Loaded - UFC Heavyweight Championship: Randy Couture (c) vs Pedro Rizzo
The first round was really fun, some good clinch stuff from both men, then Couture ends up on top and has some nice ground and pound. Rizzo has a pretty nasty cut on his head, as that fight was probably pretty close to being stopped towards the end of the round. Rizzo catches Couture with a nice body kick that takes down Couture, but he can’t really capitalize. Rizzo easily wins round 2, killing Couture with strikes, especially some leg kicks. Round 3 is more even, but John McCarthy calls time to check on Couture’s nose bc it’s all fucked up. When it starts back up, Couture is able to take down Rizzo. Nothing really happens the rest of this round, both guys are kinda catching their breath it looks like. CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS! Round 4 is really fun, Rizzo looks great while standing, but a little more than halfway through Couture is able to take him down to side control, and has control for the rest of the round. Rounds 1 and 2 were easily split, but 3 and 4 were really close, so round 5 is super important scoring-wise. Neither guy can get much going in it though, Couture is able to dodge most of Rizzo’s strikes, but his takedowns get stuffed as well. Rizzo knocks Couture down, but with only 5 seconds left, so we end on a high note. The two fighters embrace each other as the judges give it to Randy Couture unanimously. Buffer didn’t announce the scores, but I bet the judges all had it at 3 rounds to 2 for Couture bc it was a super close fight.

WON MOTY: Super Powers Series - Day 10 - Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship: Genichiro Tenryu (c) vs Keiji Mutoh
Mutoh quickly gets the best of Tenryu, really fun opening minute or so. They slow it down to a normal big match pace now, but Mutoh’s unorthodox offense keeps everything pretty fresh. Mutoh goes for a back handspring elbow, but gets kicked right in the back of the head instead :mark: They have some more back and forth until Tenryu hits a suplex from the apron to the floor :mark: As Tenryu tries to get back in though, Mutoh hits a dragon screw on his leg pulling him back down to the floor :mark: Mutoh then works the leg, hitting diving dropkicks to it. He even hits a diving double foot stomp on it, right before locking in a Figure-4. Tenryu is able to get out by rolling over, so he starts working over Mutoh’s leg as well with kicks and a dragon screw, then locks in his own Figure-4. Mutoh gets to the ropes, but Tenryu is able to lock on a Texas Cloverleaf instead. Tenryu then hits a spider german followed by a back elbow off the top rope for a two count. Spider German <3 Mutoh fights back and goes for a Shining Wizard, but it was blocked and Tenryu instead hits a Brainbuster for a close two count. Tenryu hits some super stiff strikes in the corner before hitting a nice top rope hurricanrana for another two. Mutoh is able to fight back again, hits a brutal Shining Wizard, but Tenryu kicks out, so Mutoh hits another one, but TENRYU KICKS OUT AGAIN so Mutoh has to hit a backbreaker/moonsault combo instead for the win.

WON WMOTY: Unforgiven - WCW Tag Team Championship: The Brothers of Destruction (Kane & The Undertaker) (c) vs KroniK (Brian Adams & Bryan Clark) (w/ Steven Richards)
‘Taker saying “Let’s roll brother” to Kane in the pre-match interview :lmao They start off brawling outside of the ring for a bit, before Undertaker and Adams pair off in the ring. I think all four men in the match are at least 30 pounds overweight. Clark/Kane is actually okay brawling for the most part, but the rest is shitty with everyone moving in slow motion. BRUH Mike Chioda just yelled at Bryan Clark to “get your ass out of the ring” :lmao Taker is like 2 feet off on connecting with these strikes. They all end up brawling out of the ring again, which was pretty shitty as well. Kane can’t even lift his leg up all the way for a big boot during his hot tag smh. Undertaker goes for a chokeslam, but Richards interferes, and Undertaker yells at someone as Adams comes back in and he just yells “FUCK” really loud bc someone fucked something up :lmao Undertaker takes out Clark with a chokeslam after Kane hit Adams with a shitty flying clothesline. After the match, Richards comes in with a chair, but Kane hits a chokeslam on him.

PWI MOTY: WrestleMania X8 - Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs The Rock
The crowd is already crazy hot for Hogan before Rock even comes out. The crowd is pretty split, maybe more on Hogan’s side tbh. Two seconds in, Hogan throws Rock back and the crowd pops so loud that Hogan can’t help but smile. They work a typical 80s Hogan match with Rock bumping like crazy for him, and the crowd is just crazy loud. It’s really slow-paced bc they give the crowd time to react to every move which is fine bc the crowd is better than Hogan’s ring work for sure. At least half of Hogan’s offense is just straight punches to the face. Rock does the weakest Thesz Press ever where he missed half the punches that followed, but then he sells a suplex like he died :lmao Hogan keeps up wrestling dirty, but the crowd just loves it. Rock has barely got any offense in, but anytime he does the crowd boos so loud lol They brawl outside the ring, Rock tries to use a chair, but referee Mike Chioda stops him, so Hogan hits him with a clothesline. Back in the ring, Hogan sends Rock into Chioda, so he’s down. Rock is able to lock in the Sharpshooter, Hogan gets to the ropes, but since the ref is down Rock doesn’t break, so now Hogan taps, but still no ref, so both men got screwed kinda lol Hogan catches Rock with a low blow then hits a Rock Bottom for a slow af two count. Hogan takes off his belt and starts whipping the fuck out of Rock’s back with it. Rock is able to hit a DDT, and then uses Hogan’s own belt to whip him now. Rock hits a Rock Bottom for two, and then Hogan starts Hulking up to the biggest pop of the match :mark: He does the finger wag, big boot and leg drop combo but then Rock kicks out at two :mark: He goes for another one, but this time Rock moves out of the way and hits two Rock Bottoms, followed by a nip-up and the People’s Elbow for the win. After the match, Hogan offers his hand to Rock and they share a hand shake. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall then come down and attack Hogan I guess bc he shook Rock’s hand or lost or something, but Rock comes down to make the save which obviously the crowd loves. Hogan and Rock take out the nWo, and taunt for like 5 more minutes. They really should have bumped “Real American” though.

WON FOTY: Pride 21: Demolition - Don Frye vs Yoshihiro Takayama
Frye is over as shit with the Tom Selleck Mustache :mark: They just start off TEEING OFF ON EACH OTHER LIKE NONSTOP PUNCHES HOLY SHIT :mark: Takayama is able to take Frye down, then hits a sick knee to the face and they just start trading punches again :mark: Both guys have some cuts now and the crowd is hot af. Frye is able to rock Takayama in the corner with some solid punches, but Takayama gets in some good knees as well. The ref has them stop for a second bc Takayama’s eye is swollen af. They start back up and just keep teeing off on each other until Takayama fucks up and Frye ends up on top in the full mount. The ref calls it after a few unprotected punches hit. Short, but really fun to watch. Takayama’s eyes both look swollen shut.

WON WMOTY: Monday Night Raw - Mixed Tag Team Match: Bradshaw & Trish Stratus vs Christopher Nowinski & Jackie Gayda
Bradshaw is the Hardcore champion and Trish looks hot af, but these entrances couldn’t have happened during a commercial break lol JR acknowledges how green Nowinski and Jackie are lol he knows how bad this is about to be. Nowinski wants to do a 3 point stance tackle drill, but chickens out and tags in Jackie so the girls come in. They really fuck up something, so Jackie just starts choking Trish :lmao Nowinski gets tagged back in and tries to murder Trish with elbow drops, but Bradshaw comes in and hits a Fallaway Slam so he tags back in Jackie. Bradshaw starts chasing Nowinski around the ring as Trish obviously locks in a headlock on Jackie so she can explain to her the finish. The guys end up running out through the crowd as we get some really shitty ring work inside from the girls. Trish goes for a diving bulldog, but Jackie doesn’t fall in time so that was a terrible botch :lmao Trish wins after that as JR says “Mercifully it’s over” about a 4 minute match and even King admits he’s seen better catfights :lmao

WON MOTY: No Mercy - WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals: Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle vs Edge & Rey Mysterio
So per GM Stephanie McMahon’s rules, if Benoit and Angle come to blows with each other then they will both be suspended without pay. So this is really great, Angle starts off toying with Mysterio, but Mysterio uses his quickness to counter and get under Angle’s skin. Edge/Angle is fun as well while it lasts and then Benoit/Edge is fuckin GREAT as they continue with a slow building pace. Angle gets involved on the apron, so the next time Edge gets sent towards him he Spears him off the apron :mark: Angle/Benoit work over Edge for a bit, doing a really good job isolating him from Mysterio. Edge is able to catch Benoit on the top rope for a superplex allowing Mysterio to come in with a great hot tag, taking out both men. Real cool spot where Mysterio hits a springboard leg drop to Benoit who was draped across the middle rope. Benoit is able to counter into the Crossface though, but Edge is able to break it up. Mysterio goes for a 619, but Benoit catches him only for Edge to hit a missile dropkick sending Mysterio on top of Benoit for a two count :mark: Angle comes in out of nowhere to hit a top rope belly-to-belly suplex on Mysterio, but Benoit is only able to get a two count still. Angle gets tagged in and really starts working over Mysterio now, but he just can’t finish him. Bruh Angle is just launching Mysterio across the ring with these suplexes. Mysterio fights back, sending Benoit into the ring post, and he’s able to tag in Edge who’s able to take out both men with a nice hot tag. All four men end up in the ring, and Edge/Mysterio hit some nice double team combos. Benoit tries to break up a pin, but hits Angle by mistake, and Angle barely manages to kick out. Angle counters and measures Edge, but then MYSTERIO COMES OUT OF NOWHERE AND EDGE BASICALLY BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEXES HIM HARD AF RIGHT INTO ANGLE :mark: Benoit comes in and locks in the Crossface on Edge, but Edge makes it to the ropes only for Mysterio to hit Benoit with a 619 while the hold was locked on :mark: Angle takes out Mysterio with an Angle Slam, goes for the Ankle Lock, but Edge rolls him up for another super close near fall. Edge hits a spear, but Benoit is able to save the match still. Edge then POWERBOMBS MYSTERIO ONTO BENOIT OUT OF THE RING BRUH HE’S NOT A PARTNER HE’S JUST A HUMAN WEAPON FOR EDGE TO USE! Angle locks in the Ankle Lock on Edge, but Edge reverses into his own only for Angle to reverse it back so Edge ends up tapping. FUCKING NICE!
