According to sources, there is talk within WWE of doing a double-turn on SmackDown! Live for Rusev and Tye Dillinger. Dillinger is currently working as a babyface under his current persona while Rusev has been a heel for his entire WWE career.

Rusev is popular among some fans who continue to cheer him despite his heel gimmick. The fans seem to dig his new “Rusev Day” catchphrase. The idea is that some fans are able to see his real personality on WWE Total Divas and that’s why some are cheering him.

During a WWE live event in Raleigh, NC recently, Rusev and Dillinger had a match where they performed a double turn. The crowd was cheering heavily for Rusev in the end, although there were still “10” chants for Dillinger. According to fan reports, the “10” chants were said to have been similar to the “What?!” chants that are often used at WWE live events.

Although it’s not confirmed as of this writing, it’s possible WWE may do this angle on television as live events are used to “test the waters” for future angles on TV. Rusev is currently feuding with The New Day while Tye Dillinger isn’t currently featured in any feud.

That can be wonderful. I don't know how well Tye will be as a heel but I'd love to watch a face Rusev. The guy is so much fun and so talented that he can perform a great face in ring style.

Tye is way better as a heel than a face. That's how he got the Perfect 10 gimmick over in the first place.

Dillinger can now be Smackdowns Curt Hawkins instead of being Smackdowns Apollo Crews

Interesting news here, to me you gotta have momentum to even people to care about a turn either way. Tye hasn't had that as of yet, so if he turns heel not sure if that's going to save him on SD.
