What is Smarks & Sorcerers?

• Smarks & Sorcerers is a Discord based variation of the popular Dungeons & Dragons tabletop RPG.
  
• During each session hosted by myself, the Dungeon Master. Players will get to explore a world specific to a campaign with their own characters and take under various random tasks and quests.
• The idea is that characters are specific to a campaign but you may retain them across campaigns if the story lines up.
• This thread will be used to recap each session and the adventures of the various parties.

How to Play?

• You need a Discord account. If you don't know what Discord is, it's a group chat service similar to Skype, the uniqueness of Discord however is the inclusion of bots and it being (optionally) entirely browser based, with no download required.
• You will need to make a character with this character sheet and abiding by one of these classes. However before the beginning of a campaign, I will select the allowed classes for that campaign and you will have to go through the making of a character in the discord group. It may seem daunting but I will talk you through it and show you how simple it really is.
• You'll need to show up for the sessions you want to and that's it! We can play then. NOTE: You do NOT need to show up for every session, you're character will be not be present when you aren't, so no fears of out of session death.

1st Campaign:
"Some people get payed to rob graves, you and your friends get payed to dig them. It's not a fun job and in fact you're often mistaken for Grave robbers. However, one night a noble comes by with a proposition, he wants to dispose of the body of an unknown man and wants you and your friends to dig the grave to place this man into, the only problem is, the graveyard he wants him buried in is seven towns over!" (If all places are taken and you want to play, a second much more casual and lighthearted/non-canon campaign will take place that would have unlimited spots.)

Available Classes:
Bone breaker (A fighter who works with punches and kicks to destroy those who stand in their way.)
Conjurer (A magic wielder that specializes in Conjuration magic.)
Cuisiner (The cuisiner is a chef who is ready to take down any opponent in the name of food.)
Demolitionist (Makes things go boom.)
Gunslinger (An adventurer who uses their intellect to create weaponry of mass destruction. Bang bang.)
Hellblazer (If you ever saw Constantine and thought "I wonder what it'd be like to play him?")
Luchador (Honor, Family, Tradition. That is the Way of the Luchador: the masked wrestlers of Hispanic origin.)
Mime (The mime is able to mimic other creatures and objects.)
Necrodancer (A form of Necromancer that uses his dance moves to control people and the undead.)
Runeseeker (Runeseekers are researchers of runes, they use rune weapons as a spellbook and arcane focus.)
Vigilante (WHERE IS BANE? WHERE IS THE TRIGGER? WHERE? WHERE?!?)
Zombie (You were dead, but you're getting better.)

I can see how that may be annoying to some people. This is a starter campaign and most playing will have no idea what they're doing but if you really want to wait for the next campaign, that's cool because it's going to be a joke/chill campaign where "Meme Master" is going to be a class.

Session One - The Gravediggers - 02/02/17

• The Party of Three, @Dojo/Inge Shergar the Human Bone Breaker, @Drag/Wolfe the Human Gunslinger and Ingram the Dwarven Vigilante sit in their tiny home for 20 around an even smaller fire. All of them are Gravediggers of variating descents. Gravediggers are usually men and boys who work for an elderly criminal whom takes fees from people to dig graves for those that they love that have passed and even sometimes those whom they have killed and want to vanish. The 3 Young men work for their boss Ricker, an old thief and con artist who was infamous for his cheating and participation in illegal boxing rigs, he is a master mime and master of disguise. They live in Old Iron Brook, a small town built around a quarry of iron that was suddenly flooded one day, now the town sits on the edge of a small cliffside, looking over what once was a very prosperous quarry and now has become a dangerous to mine river. Ricker disturbs the 3 of you whilst you rest around your fire and introudces an unnamed noble, nobles used to be common around these parts when the iron was plentiful but they rarely to never visit now. Ricker then signals and two men dressed as butlers dump a man's body mere feet away from them. He gives them the name of a town that is miles to the east called Cheddar Borrow, famous for it's cheese that is sighted as the strongest known, he instructs them to take the body to Cheddar Borrow and bury it in an open hole in the Graveyard there, he stresses the fact that it must be dumped there and that he will know if it isn't. He slips Ricker 50 Copper and 1 Silver piece before taking his leave.

• Ricker Decides that @Dojo/Inge is the most suitable leader and slips him 20 copper to lead with. They enter the tavern of Old Iron Brook and manage to intimidate the bartender for exclusive information and directions to the next town as well as a shadowy figure in the corner, following a brief confrontation between the man and @Drag/Wolfe, his hand is nearly severed entirely by @Dojo/Inge and they manage to get information about a safe route to the next town, @Drag/Wolfe shoots him in the knee as they leave like a prick. They go to a general store for supplies and intimidate the very old owner for free healing potions, @Drag/Wolfe swipes a ruby and some fake gems whilst the shopkeeper isn't looking.

• The party make it to the next town safely and @Drag/Wolfe instantly causes drama in the market by threatening a jester whom owns a toy stall to "murder every child in this town" if he doesn't get a sleigh to place the corpse on, after almost being shot by the guards, the gang bribe them off, get the sleigh for free and leave the Jester in hysterics.

• The party arrive at a pawn store and @Drag/Wolfe is infatuated with the shopkeep, a young lady named Madeline. He awkwardly tries to flirt with her and then returns later to try once more, after a short conversation with her, he finds out that her boss is very cruel with wages, @Drag/Wolfe goes to the house and murders the boss by unintentionally stabbing him in the head through the door but not before getting his foot stuck in the door in an attempted break in. He steals some books, a cowboy hat and a whip, 5 more of the gems they found in Old Iron Barrow and finally a coin jar filled with Silver which he gives to Madeline, allowing her to instantly quit her job, unknowing her boss is dead.

• Through sheer luck or should I say stupidity, the party discover that the dead body is very much alive but is only awake for seconds at a time before passing out again for days on end. Ingram wakes him up permantley with a perfectly placed punt to the skull, knocking his teeth down his throat, the man however is still paralyzed from the neck down and ownly manages to blurt something about "cheddar" and "parmasean".

• Before leaving the town Dojo and Drag investigate the dissapearance of the Jester they caused to cry earlier. Whom apparently was last seen by the river, thought to have commit suicide. They split up and at his house @Dojo/Inge discovers that the Jester plans to murder @Drag/Wolfe to "protect the children" and has used his dissapearance as a lure, he seemingly sprints at mach speed upon hearing this and makes his way to @Drag/Wolfe's location like a heat seeking missle.

• @Drag/Wolfe is ambushed by the Jester and five gnomes dressed as Jesters but before the battle can even start, @Dojo/Inge leaps about 20ft off a nearby bridge and goomba stomps two of the gnomes, killing them instantly, he proceeds to penalty kick another into the middle of a nearby river. @Drag/Wolfe executes another as soon as it opens it mouth and splatter the Jester with it's brains. The Jester in shock tries to blind both men with glitter bombs and succeeds in badly scorching @Dojo/Inge's eyes. After a brutal and bloody fight, @Drag/Wolfe is rendered unconcious when two of the gnomes blow themselves up in desperation and @Dojo/Inge executes the Jester by cutting his head in half.

• Covered in gore and guts, the party return to the tavern and wash themselves off.
