Smackdown stars dating....

– Layla cryptically confirmed on her Twitter account last week that she is dating fellow SmackDown Superstar Cody Rhodes.

She wrote, “I have to say I’m the most thankful to have the love of my life bf Cody In my life ….â€￾

She also posted a photo of Rhodes’ dog Dozer, noting, “The true mr.D So thankful for him.â€￾

Well theres not much else to say here but Cody, you are one lucky guy. They did seemed to have some on screen chemistry during NXT 2 and were eyeing each other up so it is kinda no surprise.

I think that they could work this into an on screen relationship too. I'm kinda sick of Laycool but Layla has loads of heat probably more than most divas in the company atm, so maybe have McCool go face after the program with Pheonix is finished and have Layla valet Cody as it would fit perfectly with his dashing gimmick pulling one of Smackdowns hottest divas.

Getting a valet is kind of a death nail for a wrestler. It doesn't work unless the woman actually does something to help you. It doesn't gain you heat nor pops because they don't do anything. I don't care about who's banging who. I care aboput who is going to be entertaining me with wrestling. TMZ-style stories can GTFO of wrestling in my opinion.

It would work quite well with the current gimmick that Rhodes has, Rhodes as a "dashing man" would be able to draw a hot diva. But like deezy said what would she do whilst with him on screen? She could accompany him to the ring and possibly wrestle the occasional mixed tag team match but that is about it. It probably won't last long as the writers would get sick of it and so I don't think it would be worth putting them together.
