WrestleMania XXVIII - John Cena vs The Rock

First off, opinion is not fact.

Nerd rage all you want, but Cena is a better seller than Austin was, this isn't a shot against Austin, but he didn't sell offense better than Cena. Why act like I said something blasphemous? Cena's selling is leaps is better than the majority of the current roster. Take your head out of the sand and realize those 20 smarks who scream Cena sucks, know as much as the other 1200 marks going apeshit for him.

I gave you examples and you didn't give me counter points.

The issue I have with Cena is he comes back to quick after being beaten down. He can be hit by all the moves and will be down on the mat and suddenly out of nowhere he jumps up and hits an AA without looking like he is still suffering. In saying that the guy is a better wrestler than most give him credit for. I mean he pulled out good matches against guys like Khali and Lashley.

Exactly especially Lashley. I mean Lashley was loved by Vince and Cena carried him throughout that match, Khali match at extreme rules sure it was a gimmick match but Cena made it work and it was very decent. Cena sure he is technically not the best wrestler in the ring, but he sure has put on some damn entertaining matches in the past couple of years.

I'm not a Cena fan by any stretch of the imagination, but to say he can't sell is ridiculous. I'm with Deezy in saying that he is easily one of the best on the roster at selling a beat down. Troy has merit in saying that his comebacks are rushed and suddenly his beating seems to have disappeared, but I can't see how anyone can say he can't sell.

Next week's RAW is all about The Rock's birthday so we should see some interaction between John Cena and The Rock building this feud.

Even with it being about the Rock's birthday, the match is 11 months away, who cares at this point?

I'm always going to be hopeful until I find out otherwise that tomorrow night they're going to change it to SummerSlam when the Rock says he can't wait.

I'm a fool for hoping so, but you can never lose hope.

They just need to keep it in the back of people minds. I agree that they can't go full out with the build this early because everyone will be burnt out by the time the match comes around.

This is just a great way for RAW to pop a big rating since more fans will tune in to see The Rock again.

Honestly, WWE killed this idea at WM27. And it didn't help before WM the way they were trying to shove Miz down our throats during the whole feud. I'm not looking forward to Rock vs Cena at WM28... hell, I'm not excited about WM28 period.

I don't think announcing the mainevent a year ahead of time did it any favours.

We'll hear about once every few weeks and then after RR it'll start kicking into hype central.

We've had some ideas as to what could happen, but thats all we can do right now is speculate.

I loved that they annonced it a year ahead of time, just because it was something different, and the fact that it gets to build for a year, gives it even more of a special feeling. Weather they build it right up until Mania time is another thing. I didn't agree with having a whole raw dedacated to the Rock's birthday either.

As for the match, it is possible that it will be a bit of a dud, however if the Rock gets himself in good shape, and the match is booked to Cena's strengths, then it could work really well.
