WrestleMania XXVIII - CM Punk vs Chris Jericho - WWE Championship

Still see this becoming and thirty minute Iron Man match. I really can't see more then 3 or 4 more matches added to the card, so they'd have plenty of time to give these guys 30 minutes. Who knows, maybe they'll even do it for Extreme Rules, but I'm hoping it's at Mania.

No chance with the Hell in a Cell and Rock/Cena. It's going to be 15 minutes max. That's all it needs really.

Best match on the card and best feud on the card. This is a dream come true for me personally with my two favorite guys competing. I'm beyond excited for this.

I like that you're enthused about this but Cena/Rock and HHH/Taker will be given the most time and will have the best matches. Punk/Jericho could tear the house down in a short amount of time though, you just never know.

Jericho gets just as much "nut hugging" if not more as of late if you talking about people on this forum.

Jericho has a much larger fan base than Punk (I have no idea why).

Hoping Punk wins. And hope the build picks up in the next few weeks.

More time doesn't always mean automatically it'll be a great match though. I think both of those matches will turn out great but I'm not gonna assume just cause they get the most time that means it's gonna be better by default.

For the Hell in the Cell, I wouldn't doubt the entrances and shit givin' more time then the actual match. The WWE knows what Jericho and Punk can do. Hell, I think they can out do Jericho/HBK for Wrestlemania a few years back if giving as much time as Jericho/HBK had.

I dunno, Taker last few matches at WM have all been the focus and have all stolen the show.

Really looking forward to this match. Been in the works for so long and I really think that they will work well together in the ring. I like how WWE played it at Elimination Chamber with the two of them not wrestling for too long and with how they worked Jericho being "eliminated" without being eliminated.

As for how long this will go, if you look at previous Manias 15 minutes for a title match is the common length of time so I see it finishing around that mark. HIAC will easily be the longest match, it is Taker's first match in a year and he won't be coming back for a ten minute match. It will be a 25 minute war and they will do their best to steal the show.

I just hope an actual rivalry develops between these two and the premises of it isn't simply "who is the best in the world" because that would be seriously lame.

I'm just a little pissed that Jericho is just now getting an actual run as a heel after several weeks of obscure bullshit. He's only gonna go into Mania with 6 weeks of actual heel-ism build. Even Mike Tyson got more than that .

And the battle royal thing to determine the #1 contender looks pretty week in retrospect. I still think it would have been better to just let Jericho win at EC then Punk use his rematch clause at Mania. Battle royals to determine #1 contenders is just lazy, LAZY booking.

Why is that a lame idea for a feud? I think it's pretty fresh. Hasn't been done in years the whole "I'm a better wrestler than you, let's go out there and put on a hell of a show". I don't think there could be any better reasoning with 5 weeks away until WrestleMania.

And you want WWE to hotball the title even more? I think the whole purpose of CM Punk's run is to establish him as a top face, and to bring back a little credibility to the belt. Nobody wants to see Jericho as a champion, then lose it back to Punk at WM or Extreme Rules, it shows laziness on WWE's booking to use the 'rematch clause' all the time and not come up with something creative.

CM Punk looks like a beast going into WrestleMania because not only has he held the title for a lengthy time, he's survived the Elimination Chamber, TLC and the Royal Rumble match in which the odds were all stacked against him.

Yeah I don't get this at all either. They have been building their rivalry for quite some time and basing it on who is the best in the world is one of the best reasons. Shouldn't the WWE champion be the best in the world so it would make sense for both guy to claim it. I think that this rivalry has been quality so far and it will only get better.

Punk needs to win, and will win. Jericho is about as credible as Drew Mcintyre, and it would be horrible to stop Punk's reign just so Jericho could have one more reign he doesn't need. Punk needs to hold the title a long time yet.

If Jericho is in this for the long haul, I think Punk will retain the strap at Mania this year. If this does turn into a feud that lasts awhile as we've seen with previous feuds it's usually a much longer time before they switch the title over. I honestly think this feud has just begun and I hope to see Jericho stay for awhile longer. I'm hoping in all of 2012 Cena doesn't touch the belt. Not because I'm a hater but because look at all the good that has already came out of it this past year. Cena has been kept busy storyline wise lately with the showdown at Mania and with this Kane storyline which I wish they would of worked alot more then just ended it with Cena hitting the FU on Kane off a ambulance into a obvious foam pit.
