Possible Feud In The Works

I've recently got the idea of a nice feud to get some more guys on the card. We all know the MITB is going to happen this year but as usual a few names will be left off. They could be saved though with how the segment went down last night. People have ripped the Johnny Ace segment bringing back a few big names back. This could be more meaningful in terms of a feud with Teddy Long and how they could have a six man tag match at Mania. The winner of that match will get control of both shows. It works out perfectly and it will get some big exposure on Mania since it will involve control of both brands. You may even see an eight man tag match if they want Otunga in the match but let's hope not. Christian, Del Rio, and Henry would be a nice set of henchmen for Johnny Ace. Teddy Long's team could be lead by the return of Rey Mysterio. Mysterio has history with Del Rio and has history with Long back in the day for Smackdown. He could be the leader on that team and you could have two other interesting guys on here. Based on last night, you have to put Santino in a Mania match. He was so incredible last night that he will get in a Mania match without a doubt. I really don't want him in the MITB match due to lack of athleticism so use him here to defend Teddy Long. It will also be cool to see him want to see his assistant role on Smackdown. The last guy is a stretch but it has to be a big man. It won't be Big Show because he's likely facing Shaq. I'm going to pick Brodus Clay which may seem odd but it could work. He could be the big man on the team to counter Henry. It would be good exposure for him but I could easily see them picking Mason Ryan for some stupid reason. What do you think of the idea though for Mania?

Why should he turn heel when the roster lacks faces and he was/is relatively over despite his limited moveset? Makes no sense

Why can't I just have Mysterio/Del Rio at Mania? Is that too much to ask for? They deserve a Mania match after how awesome their on-going feud has been.

I also think Santino should face Cody Rhodes after his performance in the EC for the IC title.

Because his current gimmick, while entertaining, isn't going to get him anywhere.

I'm with you on just about everything, Big Red. But I disagree with a couple of points:

1. David Otunga should definately be in the match. You may not find him entertaining in the slightest (I've only sloooowly just come around to cutting him some slack since being Lauranitis' lap dog) but he fits in the match more than just about anyone else involved in it. That's like saying Big Show didn't belong in the EC match because he's, say, too slow and boring for you (not saying you don't like him, just using an example).

2. I actually WANT Santino in MITB this year, and nobody is more surprised to hear me say that than me. Even though I don't otherwise find him funny or entertaining, HOLY MOTHER did I mark for him yesterday, just like I did at last years Royal Rumble. In these matches, he somehow just has the ability to get me jumping out of my seat like a child, right on the level of Jeff Hardy vs Undertaker in that ladder match. I have no doubt he could make me wet again in MITB, everyone strewn around the ring lifeless with Santino atop the ladder, fingertips away... Then Barrett pushes him off or something.

Or even better (or maybe not, depends how you look at it) Santino could WIN, cash in on the heel champion, but lose. Then Santino, finally pushed to the edge of his patience, attempts to refocus by snapping at the fans for holding him back similar to R-Truth. Santino goes back to being the awesome, douchebag, fun to "laugh at, not with" heel that once made him relevant in the first place years ago.

But then again, I am a dreamer.
