If they make this one better then Mania17, I will never say a bad word about WWE again, trust me but I don't see this Mania that much atractive. I mean, yes they have a big Cena/Rock match, Taker's 20th Mania match, they might add Jericho/Punk in it but do you guys really think it's gonna be that much good? I don't think so. They must think of something new what will catch the attention of real wrestling fans and they really need to start pushing more young talents. They have 2 more years until the biggest event of last 30 years, WrestlerMania30 so they really need to make WM28 and WM29 huge before the Big Bang happens.

It wont be better than WM 17 or worse than WM 25, it just looks a middle of the road PPV with a huge match to save the day.

Punk/Jericho will be a good match, theres no way it can't be, but the way they are going about the feud nobody is going to want to see it come Mania season. Only so much bullshit they can pull with Jericho before people start losing interest.

Nobody wants to see HHH/Taker III. Not even HHH.

Shaq v Big Show should be a fun match as long as they dont try and make it serious. Big Show's matches at Mania are usually booked well though, mainly because hes a turd who needs all the help he can get. Would of preferred LeBron v Miz here, but understand why that wont happen.

Seems like there has to be a MITB this year, theres way too many guys floating around. Orton, Ziggler, Kofi, Miz, Cody, Sin Cara, etc have no direction ATM.

Other than that you have the biggest, most important match in a decade in Cena v Rock.

Looking forward to it, but it clearly wont be one of the best ever. [/pessimism]

It won't touch WM17 but it should easily be better than WM27. I agree that the big one will be WM30 but I am sure that by that time the new stars that they are pushing now will be more over and will be actual mainevent stars. For now WWE needs someone like The Rock and Jericho to help mask the lack of mainevent talent but they are starting to fix that by pushing more talent and fingers crossed by next year there will be an abundance of top talent.

Not if they don't learn from their past mistakes those stars won't be over as main eventers come 30. We have seen this so many times with WWE. I agree that things are looking more brighter, but they still have a lot of work to do.

I do think if the world title matches are we expect them to be then they could be very good and no doubt the main event is one to talk about even if the match may not be the best (I am suprised people take this for red as it will be a challenge for The Rock to carry Cena). Even through I don't think there is a need for another HHH/Taker match it should at least be very watchable. I do think Money in the Bank has run its course as a Mania match and if you put someone like Ziggler in this kind of match it will make him look like a mid-carder again.

I think this so far is looking a strong card and may well be one of the better mania's of recent years, but I still don't expect it to be one of the greats.

This should be really good and likely a Top ten Mania ever but highly unlikely that it tops 17. I said last year that 27 could top 17 and that failed miserably. That Mania produced two worthy matches in Taker vs Triple H and Punk vs Orton (Edge Del Rio felt like a TV match sorry). Mania 17 was so good that they had the tag team titles fourth last on the show which is amazing. That match we all know for Hardys vs Dudleys vs E &C. They fit eleven matches in which included classics like HHH vs Taker, Benoit vs Angle, and Jericho vs Regal. Sure Shane vs Vince wasn't great but it had some excitement. Mania 17 will be really tough to top because it would have to involve matches that give a lot of time. They stall to much with production and take up way too time with the after match conclusion. The way Mania 27 set up last year was pathetic. I have hope for this year, but 17 was legendary.

It might be the biggest, but 17 has best on lock for any fan who grew up in the golden age of wrestling, as that ended the Attitude era and killed off WCW

Any Mania has the chance to top 17, and writing it off is kind of stupid considering no one knows how everything will play out on the night. Fingers crossed we get a good show!

Well anything is possible Prodigy, it is just unlikely given the fact the people running things in WWE won't as smart as they were then and they don't have the top line talent to produce a great show like they did them. Cena is a poor substitue for the likes of Austin. Taker and HHH are not at the same levels now than they were then, while The Rock seems to have gotten himself back in peak condation he has a huge job on his hands with Cena. And with the exception of Punk, Orton and Cena you will struggle to find over headline talent, but of course Sheamus maybe on his way.
